Almighty – Ch. 241

Remarkable Divine Pill

An elder on the top floor muttered, “How is he so bold? Give me a soul refinement pill, and this old one will give you several premium-grade bloodstones.”

Since Pill Concoction Convention was close to starting, pills were invaluable to alchemists. To put the implication into perspective, even Qing Yuan returned from his daze and asked, “Did I seriously just hear soul refinement pill?”

With it, Yang Tian’s chances of cracking the top ten were substantially higher. He exclaimed, “You heard it right!”

Qing Yuan mumbled, “Who’s the wastrel? Wan Teng?”

Qing Rufeng wouldn’t necessarily be able to defeat Wan Teng thanks to his divine physique.

Meng Yunxi couldn’t resist a smile. She didn’t think Yang Tian would bag such a nice deal thanks to her casual meddling. She went through a lot to reach Soul Tempering Realm. As for Wan Teng, he felt restless after blurting it because he regretted it. Nevertheless, that regret was extinguished when he saw Meng Yunxi’s smile. What replaced it was his desire for her.

For the reason that Pill Dao Alliance didn’t have many soul refinement pills, the young man in white commented, “How are people on the Eastern Continent so rich? Who gives away a soul refinement pill so casually?”

Everyone kept their eyes on the platform as the elder brought out an exquisite jade cauldron. The elder was so thrilled with the item that his enthusiasm seeped into his voice. “Esteemed guests, this is one of the final herbs for today’s auction.”

Yang Tian couldn’t sense any scent from the herb, thus scrubbing his head. That proved it was kept very well. However, it also meant Yan Tian couldn’t tell what rank it was. The elder removed the lid from the cauldron, revealing an auspicious rose mist that dyed the palace a variety of colours. The anomaly caught many by surprise. Its nourishing properties even rewound the clock several years for some elders. A child from the interior of the furnace screamed in youthful, yet old, voice.

Rank eight herbs were potent enough to transform one into a human. Usually, though, the rare herbs were reserved for saving lives.

Yang Tian opined, “I think the herb withered from old age and requires rare treasures to replenish its vitality. That would explain why someone would auction it.”

“You are correct. It is a rank eight herb,” stated the host.

The host reached inside and took out a soft white body. The body resembled an infant. The child wore a red bib. Though the child looked young, the child was actually a wrinkly elder. The child kept bawling pitifully as the child struggled to break free of the elder’s grasp.

Seeing the child proved the herb’s rank and potency. Some, nevertheless, lamented the herb was too old and required precious items to replenish its vitality.

Suddenly, an invisible menacing energy burst, giving everyone present goose bumps. A bell suddenly rang, causing an earthquake in the palace and cracking the structures.

“Is some adept attempting to steal the herb?”

“Who dares behave so insolently here? Do you not know this is Pill Valley’s territory? Don’t forget there are other adepts here!”

Yang Tian wondered if it was Heavenly Dao Alliance’s people. Either way, his Ancestral Dragon Ring wriggled as it released its killing intent.

An elder appeared at the top of the palace out of the blue. He discharged his oppressive aura as he revealed his glowing eyes. A mere poke in the air activated the formations that brought the shaking palace under control.

“He’s an Almighty adept!”

“He’s Pill Valley’s outer first elder!”

“Who is the person daring enough to try and steal the divine herb? Is he not afraid of a group attack?”

The bell continued to ring. Someone activated a weapon’s ability to try and overcome the barrier for obvious reasons.

“Who are you?!” shouted Pill Valley’s first elder.

The weapon outside rang again. Someone dissected the building. A big black bell descended. Had it not been for the formation and the assailant being at the exterior, the people below would be in pieces.

The elder outside summoned a divine spear with a glow stretching over thirty kilometres. He unleashed the spear’s ability, growing himself taller and increasing his life force. He then attacked the big bell. Alas, the bell didn’t even budge. The ineffective attacks evoked panic.
