Celestial Peng Race!
The countless celestial pengs absorbed the vital essence in the environment then vanished as if they were just an illusion. Xiaoqing’s speed increased to the point he left virtually solid afterimages behind. It was a key phase for Xiaoqing’s evolution.
Yang Tian smiled when he looked to the remaining spiritual herb. “Consume it.”
Xiaoqing did as he was told. His phantom vanished; he grew stronger. Yang Tian activated Ancestral Dragon Ring to try and put Xiaoqing back in to no avail.
Meanwhile, their assailant’s expectations were shattered – he expected Xiaoqing to take longer. Despite that, he picked up his pace, smashing through the second layer within seconds. Faced with another layer, he started to feel irate, compelling him to power up. He assumed his real form, which was that of a celestial peng the size of a mountain. Then, he resumed his savage attack on the formation, clawing away at the text on it after two scratches. A massive golden beam broke through the third layer.
The celestial peng soared up, gusting up winds along the way. Yang Tian turned to the direction of the winds to see the golden-winged great peng after Xiaoqing. He wondered why it tried to barge in when it was the same race as Xiaoqing. He shifted his gaze to the white creature.
“How come a celestial peng is with a human?” remarked the astonished great peng, upon noticing the humans. When he saw Xiaoqing amidst his transformation, he raised his hostility. “I thought it was you. I don’t know how you managed to heal, though.”
Yang Tian clenched his fists.
“Haha, the hibernating peng’s heir is hanging with humans? What a joke.”
The great peng’s remark made all the pieces click for Yang Tian.
How does he know Xiaoqing’s aura when Xiaoqing wasn’t born at the time? Were they the ones behind his injury?
Seeing Xiaoqing try to evolve, the great peng shook his head. “Haha, you want to evolve? I’ll ascend to Almighty Realm once I absorb your pure Bloodline.”
Yang Tian glanced over to the white tiger upon hearing the remark. He was glad the tiger didn’t join the fray.
The great peng ignored Yang Tian and zipped over to Xiaoqing. He reached out to crush Xiaoqing, Yang Tian grabbed one of his claws with a clang, freezing the great peng with his jaw-dropping brute strength as a human.
“Who are you?!”
Yang Tian hiked up a corner of his lips. “The one who’ll stop you.”
“Fine by me!” responded the great peng, sweeping its claw through the air toward Yang Tian.
Yang Tian summoned Black Devil and executed Sword Vibration, devastating the landscape and sending his golden lake into a turbulent state. The vibration attacked the great peng as a barrage of attack all over his body, sending his divine soul reeling. Then, collecting Sword Aura and the void’s energy to his blade, he raised his sword, aimed for the jadeite claw and slashed down!
Boom! The Earth shook!
Whoosh! The great peng reeled dozens of metres back. He cheeped loudly and stopped himself. Blood trickled down from his claw. He was very bitter about the outcome. Meanwhile, Black Devil continued vibrating energetically.
Yun’er was giggled when she realised Yang Tian learnt swordplay.
The great peng charged in again. Yang TIan snickered. He walked through the void with lightning around him, Black Devil vibrating and energy systems firing. His job was to buy time. The great peng had to evade the lightning.
The white tiger king chuckled.
The great peng swung horizontally and restrained Yang Tian. Yang Tian utilised Sword Vibration. The great peng snickered. The golden light stopped the pain. In other words, its divine soul protected it.
Yang Tian sighed. Sword Howl was more powerful and comparable to Mountains and Rivers Scroll’s daoist statue.
Boom! Yang Tian called for his five Dao Physiques. He clutched his sword with both hands, charged forward and swung.
