Marrow Cleansing Pill
In contrast to the world beyond Pill City, Pill City’s height was imposing, but it was serene when the stars and moon came out to play.
Rarely anyone entered the primitive forest, where there were deep and big gullies, frightening Mutated Beasts roaming the forest they ruled, bones cracking, wild beasts belting and terrifying sounds echoing. Some even claim they saw a dapeng with golden wings soar across the sky.
A gale billowed, rolling rocks off mountains. A black mist akin to a smoke signal blew through, blocking out the moon. Five people stepped out from the black mist. One was Human Elder, who was present at the contest during the day. His deathly pale complexion hinted at him being injured. Three others were hidden in the black mist, but their life force was far superior to Human Elder and Earth Elder by a huge margin.
Human Elder clenched his teeth and respectfully bowed to one of the individuals with his appearance hidden. “Human Lord, the nephrite cauldron’s seal has been removed.”
In an ear-splittingly loud voice, Human Lord chided, “Useless!”
Human Elder, who was an Almighty adept, trembled. “Human Lord, I am sure Pill Valley has involved themselves. The kid could not have possibly unsealed my seal, otherwise. Furthermore, I have not received any information.”
“Ignore that for now. His Lordship’s job is more important,” said another individual with his appearance hidden.
“Brother Longyang is right! His Lordship’s mission is more important,” concurred the other two mystified individuals, nodding.
The five enveloped themselves in the black mist again and sped off.

The interior of Ancestral Dragon Ring was covered in an afterglow-colour mist. Wherever the divine herb passed by, the other herbs would try to approach her for her aura was highly beneficial to them. The vitality water didn’t do much for her. Although she only leaked a minute amount of elixir, she’d eventually be reduced to ashes due to old age. For her to be able to take on a human form and develop sentience, she had to have grown for over ten thousand years.
“Where is Desolate Domain?” whispered Yang Tian.
The small divine herb was erudite on Desolate, a place that could give birth to divine herbs, but couldn’t tell him about its reasons and so forth, forcing Yang Tian to give up.
Like a glutton, Xiaobai opened his mouth to inhale the small divine herb’s elixir whenever she released any. The divine herb would shriek unhappily whenever Xiaobai inhaled her leaked elixir. Xiaobai would then sidle up to her and rub his head on her belly. He’d only reach up to her neck even if he wanted to go higher. With sparkly eyes, the divine herb shyly touched the spot Xiaobai rubbed his head on.
Yang Tian chuckled as he watched the two of them play. He then returned to silently preparing herbs and pill formulas for the contest tomorrow. He needed to refine a pill superior to the others in the coming contest.
Dan Chen and Tian Xin were both skilled.
Qin Shi ascended to Battle King, and there were the two girls who had yet to reveal their true skills.
Many of the formulas Yang Xiao imparted to Yang Tian were formulas for pills no longer in existence. Naturally, the herbs were very challenging to find.
Yang Tian: Despite being able to refine a rank four pill at my current level, I doubt that’s enough to crack the top ten. The disciples of the big clans are skilful in their own right. I guess I’ll try a rank four high-grade pill tomorrow.
“Divine herb, give me a marrow cleansing flower, lingzhi mushroom herb and a greenwood berry…”Yang Tian asked for a total of five rank four herbs.
“Okay,” responded the divine herb, before enthusiastically beginning her search.
It took only an instant for the divine herb to collect all five herbs. The herb was bribed with the two vials of vitality water. She handed Yang Tian the herbs then bolted off.
Marrow cleansing flower was supposed to be extinct. Its function was self-explanatory from its name. Yang Tian needed it to concoct a marrow cleansing pill, which had a reputation as a lesser rebirth or transcendence pill, to cleanse his body. Its value was on par with a rank five pill.
Yang Tian silently began the deduction process. Visualising the process wasn’t as good as personally going through the process. Luckily, it didn’t take a lot of time.
The only audible sounds inside the ring were Xiaobai and small divine herb giggling as they teased each other in an unusual manner.
