Almighty – Ch. 259

Small Divine Herb

“Kid, my interest for you grows. I believe this is an isolated void, correct? No wonder why I can’t sense where you are.” The elder treated Yang Tian tantamount to thin air and trained his gaze on the three head-sized bloodstones. “Hahaha, I most certainly want these treasures.”

“Haha, you won’t be alive to enjoy them.”

“Let me show you what soul refinement r-”

The titanic monster suddenly stopped speaking and widened his eyes. The black mist around him behaved abnormally. Two nightmare dragons emerged.

“Impossible! They’re supposed to be extinct!”

Yang Tian had no idea what the dragons’ story was.

Scared for his life, the gigantic monster immediately fled. The dragons intercepted him, gashing open a wound on the monster with a swing of their claws. The monster’s instincts surrendered to the dragons, robbing him of any ability to fight. The dragon didn’t have any qualms with stabbing its claws out to the other side of his head.

The nightmare dragons grew 10% larger and amplified their aura.

Once the nightmare dragons bowed out, the nephrite cauldron began to tremble. Yang Tian sprinted over. The lid blasted off, emitting the smell of an herb that dispersed all throughout Ancestral Dragon Ring. When it made contact with herbs in the garden, the herbs became fresher and tenderer, radiating gorgeously.

A pentachromic pillar was there in front of Yang Tian.

Some fatso appeared, only to then disappear due to trepidation.

Yang Tian tried to locate the light. There was no divine herb in front of him. He was dismayed. Though the potent scent was still there, the divine herb was gone without a trace. He dashed over and shook Xiaobai’s tail. “Wake up.”

Xiaobai drooled as he struggled to open his eyes. Yang Tian vigorously shook his tail. He juddered once he opened his eyes. He shook his tail so quickly afterimages were seen. He checked his surroundings, sniffing as he looked. Then, he leapt into the field of colourful herbs.

Yang Tian recalled only growing two dragon beard herbs, yet a third one had surprisingly grown in the colourful field.

Startled when Xiaobai bit one of the dragon herbs, Yang Tian rushed over. “Stop trying to eat.”

The herb Xiaobai bit transformed into an old ceramic doll that cried, while Xiaobai bit the divine herb’s arm cheerfully and shook it around. Because he could sense its amazing potency, he refused to let go.

Yang Tian grabbed the ceramic doll’s arm, barely hearing it mutter, “Don’t… eat… me.”

Yang Tian patted Xiaobai’s head with a smile. “Don’t worry. He won’t dare to eat you.”

The herb stopped blinking and vigilantly shifted its gaze to Yang Tian. Its ability to transform into a human and communicate demonstrated its miraculous nature as an herb. Tears coursing down its eyes, it pitifully asked, “C-can you… spare… me…?”

“Haha, I can’t do that,” replied Yang Tian, shaking his head. “I won’t eat you or harm you.”

Judging from the pill’s old wrinkly appearance, Yang Tian couldn’t tell if it was male or female. He had an urge to remove its bib to check.

It pitifully shed tears again. “If you’re not eating me… return me to Desolate Domain…”

“Desolate Domain…? Where’s that?” Having never heard of the place, Yang Tian furrowed his eyebrows. “You… shouldn’t leave. There are lots of bad people out there. If they catch you, they’ll refine you.”

Xiaobai hooted, then snuggled up to the ceramic doll. He didn’t stop drooling, no. That said, he was smart enough to keep his head plastered to the doll.

The doll was apparently afraid after Yang Tian’s warning. Pitifully, it expressed, “The old man was so violent. His aura was repulsive.”

Yang Tian was delighted to hear those words. If he could forge a friendship with the divine herb, it would be able to take care of his herb garden or make it easy for him to use divine herb’s contents. The latter would provide numerous more benefits than refining herbs.

“They’re bad people. Not only do they eat divine herbs but also people.”

The ceramic doll nodded. Perceiving it to be pitiful, Yang Tian stroked its head. He took out a small vial of vitality water and shook it in front of the doll. “Your life force is fading. Consume this vitality water.”

The doll took the vial with both hands and had a drink. Its body began to glow colourfully. Pink clouds rose. Its life force was stronger. Seeing the results he was after, Yang Tian smiled, only to then look gloomy. It drank the water super quickly and looked back at him with a pitiful expression.

Yang Tian touched his head, an action showing his reluctance to be ruthless with a child. He handed it another vial despite not having much. The doll appeared younger after a second vial, albeit marginally. Yang Tian couldn’t just keep wasting vitality water. Consequently, he waved to indicate for the doll to stop requesting more, deciding he needed to wake for Yang Xiao to come to first.

Xiaobai rubbed his head on Yang Tian’s arm. Xiaobai was the one who found the water, so he was bitter.
