Void Journey
Chubby smashed the barrier of a desolate void, where no life could be sustained for long, using his bone until he broke through. Yang Tian and company exited the passageway and checked out the area to see there wasn’t any life in sight, so they were presumably safe.
Chubby chuckled since he was pleased with the results of his first time using a large-scale technique.
Yuan Xia covered her mouth when she checked on Yang Tian.
Yun’er, in tears, implored, “Second Grandpa, please take a look at Brother Yang.”
Xing Shan sent his divine soul energy Yang Tian’s body. He located the injury site, but something showed his energy the door.
Frowning, Xiaoji tried touching Yang Tian’s body and then relaxed. “His body isn’t in terrible shape; however, I can’t see his organs.”
Yuan Xia activated her Bloodline to peer inside using her Divine Sense. She discovered Yang Tian’s energy sources were drained. Eventually, she found the deities inside his five viscera. Three Dao Physiques barely had a trace of energy left. The remaining two were shrouded in smog, which was similar to the state of the world when it was first formed. She determined he was in deep trouble since his qihai was practically motionless after using two clones.
Unable to contain her concern, Yun’er asked, “How is Brother Yang?”
Since Yuan Xia spaced out when she looked back at Yun’er, the latter asked again, “How is he?”
“Oh…” responded Yuan Xia, returning to her senses. Embarrassed, she took in a deep breath. “Not good. Unless there’s a miracle, he might lose the ability to cultivate.”
“What?!” exclaimed Yun’er, silver trails streaking down her face.
Yang Tian would be nothing short of a cripple in this world without the ability to cultivate.
Yuan Xia was bitter when she saw Yun’er crying.
Xiaoji: “It’s not that serious. Look, even without his qihai, he could take on a Divine Beast’s heir with his sheer brute strength.”
“Exactly! He could be a brute-strength adept without cultivating!” Chubby added.
Xing Hao patted Yun’er on the shoulder. “He’ll be fine. He’s lucky, after all.”
Xing Shan: “Let’s get a move on first; it’s not safe here.”
Yun’er rubbed her clothes whilst looking at Yang Tian and followed along.
Xing Shan couldn’t identify their location, but he inferred they had travelled a long way. They travelled for half a day before stopping again at an area with lush mountains. He pursed his lips and pointed to the valley: “Let’s rest here. There aren’t many people here. I don’t think it’s wise to go too far.”
The group headed into the area with decent heaven and earth vital essence, a lake at the centre and spiritual herbs around.
Chubby found a cave around three hundred square metres big. “There’s an immortal’s cave here, and I think someone cultivated inside.”
Yuan Xia set Yang Tian on a stone bed. Yun’er took out a rank seven, dragon-eye-sized purple and gold pill shaped as a dragon from her purple and golden jade vial. Yun’er clasped her hands and fed him the pill. Yuan Xia then searched Yang Tian’s body again with her Divine Sense.
Yang Tian’s small golden dragon soared up. Yuan Xia stopped herself when she intended to help him refine. His dao recital began, vanquishing the dragon. His five viscera and six bowels absorbed its golden energy.
