Almighty – Ch. 172

Like a Raging Storm!

Fallen Devils’ Grounds bizarre change incited uproar. A threat tried to escape the place, but the three Peak Celestial Weapons stopped the species within on the tumultuous day. People were on the edges of the seats, including the elders. They all suspected a supreme adept’s cave estate was located inside, and the three Peak Celestial Weapons were presumed to be the guardians guarding the divine items within.

Numerous heavyweight factions and solo adepts already headed toward it, putting the transport formation at Demon Subjugation City to work tirelessly for days on end. More and more adepts joined the adventure to verify the facts or myths at Falling Clouds Mount Stream for themselves.

Before word got out, Gu Yun took Li Ying, who was grievously wounded, back to the city. Li Ying was critically wounded; Li Xuan died during the lightning tribulation. Unsurprisingly, then, Li Clan’s old adepts came out from seclusion to address the shame and disgrace suffered.

All news related to Yang Tian spread throughout the East comparably to wildfire. Thus, everyone learnt he survived a lightning tribulation that had a Battle King’s power in the mix, got Li Xuan killed, introduced an enigmatic small beast, carried lots of vitality spring water and had a mysterious adept, who almost killed Li Ying with his formation, backing him.

Li Clan harboured intentions to kill Yang Tian and stir the East. The only thing they had no clues on was the identity of the mysterious girl.

“Man, I heard Yang Tian is from a small-time academy. Mate, he’s overpowered if he killed Li Xuan. He’s now wanted by Ancient Sacred Grounds, Yin Yang Cultivation Sect and Heavenly Yellow Dragon Valley, as well, for offending them.”

“The master of the academy’s name is Lin Yuan; he’s Yang Tian’s adopted father…” informed Uncle Kong, owner of a mercenary business.

The hearty man had a drink, and then stopped speaking. His appearance wasn’t shabby in spite of his behaviour. He formed a mercenary business, and the people around called him “Uncle Kong”.

“Come on, Uncle Kong, hurry up and tell us,” demanded a sixteen-year-old loli.

Uncle Kong wore an ambiguous expression resembling a smile yet not. “I can tell you, but don’t tell anyone else. Otherwise, my life will be miserable. Yang Tian was the direct disciple in a big clan. Unfortunately, his clan was exterminated ten odd years ago… You all know Li Clan’s Li Qingxue, yeah?”

The young man in black: “Obviously. I heard she already broke through to Battle King Realm. She’s talented enough to go toe to toe with Li Clan’s next candidate.”

“Yang Tian and Li Qingxue were supposed to marry each other, but his clan has hit the cemetery. Li Clan wants Yang Tian’s head and his cultivation method,” explained Uncle Kong, scorning Li Clan.

“They had an arranged marriage?”

“Yes. I heard Li Qingxue tried to personally kill Yang Tian. That’s a massive slap to Yang Tian’s face.”

***

Back inside a dark mountain, where leaves were so close together that the golden orb couldn’t penetrate.

At a mountain fortress at the peak, an individual in black was present in every building and leaking an intense killing intent. One particular man in black stood with his hands behind his back and allowed his black hair to sway in the winds. He appeared masculine and overpowering. The silence didn’t last long for hasty footsteps disturbed it.

The individual who came on air, breathing laboriously and sweating, was a Battle King cultivator around thirty.

The man in black looked back. “What are you all flustered for?”

The man scrubbed his head and erased most of his hostility from his face. Whilst sending eye signals, he said, “Hehe, Boss, I have news you’re bound to be interested in.”

“Out with it.”

“I bring you news on Yang Tian…”

The boss juddered. “Is he dead or alive?”

The only sound audible in the quiet mountain was heavy panting. After the man in black finished listening to the report, he was furious. His aura generated whistling sounds and shook the trees. “Damn you, Li Clan!”

The hundred or so men in black rushed over as soon as they heard him shout. Two individuals from the group stepped forth. He stood on the same footing as the big man. The two looked at each other and generated a dense bloody mist with their killing intent. “What’s the matter, Leader?”

“We’re making a trip to Hundred Thousand Mountains today to settle a score!”

Ten brown Mutated Beasts were summoned to the sky with a whistle. Their skin was clear and bright as silk. Their claws were so sharp they could easily slice rocks. They created gusts of wind when they flapped their wings. When the ten beasts flew to the sky, they covered the sunlight.

“Let’s go!” The man in black leapt up to a Mutated Beast.

The riders patted the Mutated Beasts’ domes. “Let’s go.”
