Humanoid Old Herb
Watching the multitude of formations trap the three-legged crow inside, the foreign adepts gave up any plans of trying to resort to underhanded tricks.
“He’s considered one of my own, so spare him, please,” pleaded the three-legged crow divine tree.
“All right. You have the tree to thank,” replied the adept sitting in Chaos.
The crow departed with the adept, who teleported them away with a wave of his hand.
Yang Tian went wandering around and found a number of precious herbs on the brink of death. Unfortunately, they couldn’t hold a candle to nephrite dragon herb. In saying that, self-renewing soil fixed their problems, so his profit margins were enormous. Also, they compensated for the herbs he used for brewing the various wines.
Yang Tian found a smooth bone the size of a thumb. The hawker was a glowing creature with golden eyes. Yang Tian clenched his fists and picked up the bone. He pressed his finger into it firmly, but he couldn’t even put a dent in it. According to the nightmare dragon, it was a dragon bone. Yang Tian bought the bone without haggling. Even if the bone was useless, it could be forged into a strong weapon.
The group soon reached the centre. The space was the size of a small flower garden, but it was bright and shrouded in a mist. There were dozens of rare herbs in the field. Yang Tian spotted a humanoid herb in there. The herb held his hands up and absorbed vital essence from the air and other herbs to heal himself. He was bright golden. He had lived for dozens of thousands of years and possessed intelligence.
Yang Tian touched his nose and peered into the humanoid’s rhizome. He saw a stream of dao. The further in he went, the more he was amazed. The golden light was majestic. It was so amazingly bright that he couldn’t look at it. He ejected himself from it and took in a deep breath. He surmised someone lived inside and a secret was kept inside because that was the only way he could explain why he couldn’t see through it all.
Yang Tian shook his head and continued on his way. There weren’t just herbs there; there were also miracle stones in odd shapes that had been there for ages. He spotted what resembled an ancient hard rock on top of a miracle stone. From the rattling he heard, he figured out it was absorbing Earth Qi. As a rock nature nurtured, it would be able to blend in once it was done absorbing things. It would be amazing enough to become Herb Deities’ Valley’s guardian. It was pointless to compare it to the five slots miracle stone, so Yang Tian moved along.
Yang Tian frowned again. He heard someone say in a high-pitched voice, “Why don’t you know better, Lass? You should be honoured my young master is interested in you.”
The remark killed everyone’s mood, and they looked over. The “Lass” was an amazingly beautiful girl in white. Yuan Xia frowned unhappily but refrained from commenting. Jiu Bingyan glared daggers at moron.”
