Almighty – Ch. 812

Escape

Yuan Xia shook her head with a smile. “No.”

“Hmph, still trying to be lovey-dovey in this situation!” Yang Tian’s nonchalant had Third Palace Master doubting himself. He touched his nose and looked around, afraid Yang Tian was up to something. When he noticed Buddha Pagoda’s spirit, he exclaimed, “What are you doing here?!”

The monk went there when he sensed Merit emerge. Saving Yang Tian was a coincidence. When Yang Tian saw him, he wondered if a devil dragon was going to resurface because the monk was supposed to be holding down the bloody sea.

The monk replied, “To enlighten you, obviously!”

Third Palace Master knew his clone was no match for the monk. Logically, then, he denied the reality and struck. “Damn you! Die!”

Buddha Pagoda descended and fired energy beams to defend the sword strike. The monk forcibly stopped himself from coughing up the blood in his throat, as he was determined to hold on until Yang Tian could escape. He flicked his sleeve and said, “Get going!”

Yang Tian and Yuan Xia fled.

Third Palace Master chased after Yang Tian and slashed at the void the latter ran to. The monk immediately flicked Buddha Pagoda over to intercept the Sword Aura, but he coughed blood. Third Palace Master was surprised by the fact the monk coughed blood. Despite the Sword Aura being formidable, it shouldn’t have been enough to inflict so much damage; Third Palace Master was cognizant of that fact.

“I’ve expended all of my energy trapping the devil dragon for so long, so I’ll come back to enlighten you another day.” The monk flicked his sleeve and suavely departed.

“What?! Argh!” Third Palace Master was livid.

Yang Tian reappeared at the lush forest some five thousand kilometres away from the mountain. He never stopped gasping blood due to excessive loss of Blood and Essence. He barely had energy to move a finger. Using Crazy Devil Divine Pill when he was critically wounded would be overkill.

Yuan Xia covered her mouth with her hand. Yang Tian was hurt worse than she assumed. He forced a smile. She caressed his face with her shaky hands: “How are you? Don’t scare me.”

Yang Xiao emerged. He was flabbergasted when he saw the Death Qi on Yang Tian’s forehead. Xin Yu emerged, too. She cried. Yang Tian shook his head to indicate he was all right. The Blood Melting Divine Pill he took from Second Divine Daughter’s place would fix him up. Xin Yu blamed herself for Yang Tian’s condition, but he shook his head again to tell her otherwise. He was glad he managed to save his mother at the very least.

Yang Xiao scanned the surroundings and said, “Let’s find somewhere for you to recover first.”

There weren’t many Fierce Beasts in the forest, and it wasn’t part of Southern Divine Dynasty’s territory; therefore, it was relatively safe. Yang Tian realised he was familiar with the terrain. He first emerged there: Great Desolation’s entrance. Yang Xiao didn’t actually know it was the entrance; he just knew the entrance opened at that spot every time. He wondered if Great Desolation would open before its usual schedule because the world had been recreated.

The gap between cultivators inside and outside Great Desolation was still considerable despite the world having been recreated. Yang Xiao didn’t have much hope Yang Clan still existed there since neither Chubby nor Xiaoji heard of Yang Clan in there.

Yuan Xia was exhausted after so much happened in a single day. She said to Xin Yu, “Um…”

Xin Yu looked up at Yuan Xia. She didn’t notice Yuan Xia was there the entire time. Xin Yu wondered what Yuan Xia’s relationship with Yang Tian was. Yuan Xia twirled her hair nervously. In a quiet voice, she said, “Let me take care of him. You… must be tired.”

“Oh… Thank you, hehe.” Xin Yu passed unconscious Yang Tian to Yuan Xia.

Seeing the way Yuan Xia embraced Yang Tian, Xin Yu was happy and believed Yuan Xia to be her daughter-in-law. She evaluated Yuan Xia to be over a hundred folds superior to Li Qingxue in every facet. Satisfied, Xin Yu nodded.

Yuan Xia finally let out a breath of relief when Xin Yu finally looked away. Still, she was embarrassed.

Xin Yu suddenly recalled seeing Yun’er inside Ancestral Dragon Ring. She clenched her fists. She pondered, They’re both beautiful. Will they fight with each other?

Yang Xiao cleaved open a cave and cast formations around as a means of delaying potential attackers.
