Almighty – Ch. 472

Two Months Later

“Xiaoqing, you can speak now,” said Yang Tian, smiling due to Xiaoqing miming.

Xiaoqing’s eyes darted around before he stuttered, “Y-Yang Tian…”

“Damn bird, I’m going to roast his ass!” brayed Dahu.

“Stop pretending. Just refine another sword,” ordered Yang Tian, giving Dahu a soft kick on his burnt belly.

“Yang Tian, I got hurt saving you. You better not be stingy,” said Dahu, smirking after.

Yang Tian shook his head. “In consideration of your performance, I shall reward you.”

“He’s from the celestial peng race…” informed  Xiaoqing, voice childish.

“I know. Why did he attack you, though? He was clearly after your life.”

“Before I was born, his senior injured me!”

The golden-winged dapeng would go on a rampage if anything happened to his heir.

Yun’er: “How distasteful. He’s not your kind if he attacked you.”

Xiaoqing gestured with his wings. “I don’t know what happened, either. There’s a lot I can’t remember.”

Yang Tian: “Where did he come from?”

“Mm… Mount Yi, I think.”

“I suppose the white tiger also came from there,” muttered Yang Tian. He thought Divine Beasts were rare until then/ “They must be here for Dao Deity Mountain!”

Half an hour later, the group found a dark cave. It offered vital essence, pure air and a spiritual lake at the centre. Xiaoqing’s divine attributes scared off the beasts inside.

Yang Tian looked around, then bobbed his head. “Let’s sojourn here.”

Xiaoqing entered Ancestral Dragon Ring to begin his recovery; delaying his recovery would cause cultivation issues down the road.

Yang Tian entrusted a pile of refinement materials to Yun’er for a formation. Dahu drooled.

Yang Tian dripped three drops on Dahu with a finger flick. Dahu let out a high-pitched cry of relief when he felt the sensation akin to ants crawling along his limbs; it was part of the healing process. Within seconds, his skin healed, and his fur was glossy and neat again. Yang Tian shook his head with a smile. “Spare me the tripe. Cultivate!”

Yang Tian placed two thumb-sized helianthus in front of Dahu. Yet, Dahu continued to complain, earning Yang Tian’s ire. Yang Tian walked off.

The group continued cultivating in peace for the next two months. An inferno inside Ancestral Dragon Ring raged. The fire-red pill furnace hovered in the air. Xiaoqing, who was only around eleven to twelve, lazed on the ground. His body glowed faintly. Familiar with the evolution process and with a herb before him, he was happy.

Yang Tian grunted and opened his eyes. The lid on the pill flame activated, spitting sparks. The red pill with patterns was aggressive. It was called blood lotus pill, a rank five mid-grade pill with bloodthirsty lotus as its main ingredient. Its ability to absorb vital essence in the void was to his liking. Xiaoqing immediately soared up and grabbed the warm pill. Yang Tian waved his hand to tell Xiaoqing to give the pill to Dahu. “Let’s go. It’s time for Dahu to ascend.”

Yang Tian’s body plateaued, bringing his cultivation to a crawl. He kept refining pills, which all went to Xiaoqing, and practicing Sword Vibration.

Dahu refined a small golden sword. The sharp qi from the sword vibrations could slice rocks, and the physical sword was more robust to his previous one. Upon sensing Xiaoqing’s aura, he cheered and rushed out. Xiaoqing, appearing on Dahu’s back, patted Dahu on the head cheerfully. Thrilled, Dahu took Xiaoqing on a drifting session, kicking up dust. Dahu’s Bloodline enjoyed Xiaoqing’s company; it improved around the latter. After skidding and running for a while, Dahu grinned. “Did you bring me any new stuff, Xiaoqing?!”

Dahu goaded Xiaoqing into stealing a number of herbs for himself not long ago. When Yang Tian noticed his herbs were missing, he gave Dahu a thrashing. There was a difference between refining precious herbs and refined pills. Xiaoqing vigorously shook his head. Dahu groaned miserably similarly to an irate wife. Xiaoqing laughed and playfully kicked Dahu’s belly. He then presented a blood-red pill. Dahu widened his eyes and drooled. He prostrated himself on the ground, meaning, “Hand it over, or I’m not leaving.”

Xiaoqing patted Dahu’s head. “Hahaha, hurry outside; Yang Tian is calling for you. He spent several days just to refine this rank five pill.”

“Hell yeah. Ascension to Demon Emperor time!” exclaimed Dahu, rushing outside to undertake a tribulation.

Two days later, a new Demon Emperor was born. Yang Tian witnessed it all from the sky where he sat, palled in Chaos Light. He nodded as he watched the lightning descend. He pondered the possibility of Dahu learning a Bloodline technique.

Yang Tian went to a gracefully decorated cave embellished with a delicate fragrance. Yun’er, sitting on a rock bed inside, absorbed her Inheritance’s energy and converted them to wisps of pure energy to deliver into her limbs and bones. Yang Tian was befuddled because she should’ve ascended already, yet she hadn’t. Nevertheless, she was considerably stronger than before. He smiled before leaving.

Yang Tian spent days studying the marvel of Xiaoqing’s divinity, thereby upgrading Unfettered Omnidirectional Steps. He basically mastered the art of dimensional travel, which wasn’t something a Battle King cultivator could do. Though his cultivation didn’t improve, he had a better grasp on Sword Vibration.

Dahu’s new powers were unbelievable. As he slashed the sky, he used the lightning tribulation to cleanse his body. Yang Tian lamented the lightning was too weak compared to what he went through. After going through it for half a day, Dahu had to rely on the bloodthirsty pill’s remaining contents.  Bloodline roiling, Dahu roared, “I slay the universe!”

“Eh? Grasped a little,” remarked Yang Tian, albeit the divine power being much weaker than Xiaoqing’s.

The blood marks on Dahu’s body receded for the most part, so Yang Tian muttered, “He’s going to need the white tiger king’s bloodline to ascend.”

Yang Tian watched for a while longer before returning to Ancestral Dragon Ring. His divine soul had been rumbling, signalling he was closing to reaching Soul Tempering Realm’s Peak.
