Almighty – Ch. 455

Red-Eyed Sparrow!

“There’s nothing more I hate than threats. Is one more premium-grade bloodstone sufficient?!”

Collective gazes focused on the stone flying through the air. Rage, greed, surprise and astonishment were just a few of the emotions expressed. Though initially pleasantly surprised, the host panicked once the demon genius zipped over to snatch up the bloodstone. Yang Tian laughed arrogantly and fired a golden lightning beam through the claw.

Enraged, the demon reverted to his true form, which was that of a red bird wearing a coat of flames. Eyes bulged at the sight of the red-eyed sparrow – a Mutated Beast. Because their race served vermillion birds back in the day, red-eyed sparrows possessed a trace of vermillion birds’ Bloodline. The sparrow respected Divine Beasts more than others owing to the Bloodline the vermillion birds granted.

The sparrow tore apart the outer perimeter formation to reach Yang Tian. After a screech, Yang Tian hurled a black bird with half of its feathers pulled out. The bird immediately charged into the room, but Yang Tian strangled it by its neck and pulled its feathers out before sparing it. It was all over in an instant.

Dan Chen found motivation to cultivate since he was only on even footing with the sparrow. In truth, Yang Tian only knocked the sparrow twice. Yun’er was the one who pulled its feathers out. It wouldn’t have any left if Yang Tian didn’t intervene. The feathers, as a matter of fact, were still in her hands.

Yang Tian wasn’t worried about the demon race despite sensing one within as Xiaoqing had the seal of a golden-winged dapeng. The sparrow went to the elder to sulk, asking the elder to dish Yang Tian a serving of comeuppance. However, the elder chuckled as he shook his head. “Stop it. What happened to your claim that humanity didn’t have any prodigies? You two are around the same age. Given his Divine Beast’s aura, we must be cautious”

Everyone refocused on the auction after the confrontation was settled. When Yang Tian opened his eyes again, he had an ominous feeling. He stood up. “Yun’er, we need to leave earlier than planned. Something is wrong.”

“Oh, okay.”

The duo headed to the secret door found at every auction. A woman approached them when they reached a passageway.

“Take me to the appraisal room,” Yang Tian demanded.

“Understood, Young Master. Please follow me.|

Yun’er grabbed Yang Tian’s hand tight, vigilant. Yang Tian found Yun’er’s reaction comical.

The woman left them in the room with a smug grin. Yang Tian quickly turned to the elder with his head down who gave him an uneasy feeling.

The elder looked up with a pair of cunning eyes and snickered. “Are you not going to bid on the next few items?”

Yang Tian tugged up a corner of his lips. “What? You want to keep me around?”

“Correct! Since you have the audacity to come here to shop, I shall ensure you never leave.”

“What’s this about?”

“You killed my grandson. Is that some sort of new insult?”

“I killed your grandson?” asked Yang Tian, frowning. Upon further digging, he recalled the youth and guards he killed.
