Almighty – Ch. 368

Rumble in the Forest

Yang Tian looked to the left. The weapon inside was a handkerchief that manifested a scene of nature brocade. The small world was beautiful. Spirits and Divine Beasts were found down low and high above. The one in the sky was an energetic and clever qilin. A pentachrome phoenix, which bore a striking resemblance to Yuan Xia’s, soared across the sky and called out. A pentachrome peacock followed a vibration. It was another Divine Item.

Yang Xiao: “It’s a defensive Divine Item, Mountains and Rivers Brocade!”

Yang Tian observed the brocade for a long time, then looked down. The three Divine Items were situated next to a vast ocean of qi and blood with a sinister aura mixed in – evident from the visible tentacles. A black light shrouded the area above the ocean. The Death Qi seeped out from the three items. He saw a figure appeared from the qihai. Deities emerged above the bloody river from the three items. The divine inscriptions that appeared covered the entire zone.

Tense due to the difficulty of entering the area, Yang Tian cursed to himself. “Uncle Xiao, can we use Mountains and Rivers Cauldron’s Weapon Spirit?”

Yang Xiao had a think. In the end, he shook his head and sighed. “I think the Weapon Spirit is about to emerge; I can’t sense any changes. Given the Death Qi has been corroding the furnace, I would surmise the Weapon Spirit is damaged.”

“What do we do, then?” asked Yang Tian, hopelessly scrubbing his head. He didn’t fear the divine inscriptions; he couldn’t cross the sea of blood, unfortunately.

Yang Xiao had a think before answering, “Our only option is to plunge the area into chaos and sneak past to snatch the cauldron while everyone is distracted.”

“Throw the area into chaos…?” repeated Yang Tian, scratching his head.

Thrilled, Yang Tian split the ground with a stomp and raced to the outer perimeter; he was able to go fast owing to his familiarity with the terrain. The outer perimeter was still in uproar as the creatures searched for the herb thief. The fighting resulted from enemies bumping into each other.

Yang Tian slowed down when he approached the area upon feeling the quaking. He arrived at a dark cave. He could see the red eyes not far away. At the entrance was a black precious herb the size of a hand. The killing intent exuding within was used to nourish the herb. He stealthily crept over on all fours. He used a phantasmal hand to snatch up the herb.

“Roar!”

Enraged, the creature leapt out. It fired red beams from its eyes, piercing voids. The creature assaulted other creatures when it didn’t see yang Tian, who hid around an area of scattered rocks and gazed inside. The creature didn’t make an appearance last time since it just gave birth. The creature ruling the area sported the appearance of a shark and had six claws. It scared off creatures that approached the area.

Xiaobai sneaked over to the dark and eerie cave, catching the crocodile’s attention. Xiaobai’s energy freaked it out; it jerked back. Xiaobai hooted at the top of his lungs, eyes on the crocodile’s eggs and drooling. As a result, despite Xiaobai’s Bloodline being intimidating, the crocodile’s rage took over. Still, Xiaobai didn’t back down. He bore his teeth and claws.

The crocodile sped over to Xiaobai to squash him. Xiaobai, making the most of his speed, slid three hundred metres away and dashed into the forest, leaving his afterimage. Inflamed, the crocodile crushed a rock then looked around. Before it knew it, Xiaobai appeared again, drooling.  The crocodile charged over to Xiaobai again.

Yang Tian took advantage of the chaos to sneak inside and run off with the three crocodile eggs.

Yang Tian managed to infuriate seven creatures. The rampages resulted in countless deaths and more environmental damage. He fled into the mountains after provoking a tiger. After running for some distance, he took out his loot and the eggs.

The forbidden zone didn’t mean anything anymore. The creatures were all gathered there.
