Pill Concoction Convention Commences
Yang Tian’s divine soul appeared inside Ancestral Dragon Ring. Seven channels strengthened his seven souls using the residue soul energy. He silently let it run its course before calling his divine soul back inside him. He sat inside the divine soul’s dimension to revitalise his mind.
Yang Xiao’s cheeks were finally a tad rosy, and his source was no longer fading. The rank five divine pill was only enough to maintain his source, indicating the effect was next to nothing.
Owing to his divine soul cultivation reaching new level, Yang Tian was confident in his performance at Pill Concoction Convention.
The day started off with a bustling city. The thief yesterday was still on the loose. Nobody dared to mention it.
Rumour had it that the reward for the event was able to help alchemists gain perfect control over their pill flame and be accepted as a disciple of Pill Valley; it was the same as putting oneself on the express track to success.
Yang Tian and Yang Ba espied a group of people gathered by the inn’s door when they left. The former smiled upon sensing the presence of Wan Teng. Wan Teng couldn’t give Meng Clan’s junior’s grief, so he had to smile in a friendly fashion.
Two individuals approached Meng Clan.
Meng Yunxi glanced at Yang Tian. “Everyone is here, so let’s get going.”
The group left in grandiose fashion.
The convention was held in the east. The venue was large, yet both sides were packed beyond belief. On either side of the people were tall buildings with people from big factions. At the forefront was a floating palace roughly thirty square kilometres in size – enshrouded in mist. Inside the palace was a gold and jadeite structure. A group of mighty humans were vaguely visible drinking away, annoying the young ones below. A mist floated at the end of the palace, which was also the top. A pavilion was vaguely visible inside it. Maids stood below the palace. Their clothes fluttered and created more ethereal girls.
Pill Valley didn’t operate auctions, but they did have a few stars.
Representing Meng Clan in the convention was Meng Kang, who was a notch below Meng Yunxi in the alchemy field. Though Meng Kang was fat, dignified and strong, Yang Tian didn’t underestimate him.
Yang Tian peered up to the girl in the pavilion and muttered, “Is she Yuan Xia…?”
Someone rang a bell inside the palace to demand silence. The sound was capable of oppressing a divine soul. Outer First Elder, though one wouldn’t associate the adjective “old” with him, emerged in the air above, having recovered somewhat.
“Welcome to this Pill Concoction Convention, alchemists!” announced First Elder, smiling. “This convention is restricted to those twenty and under. If anyone violates the stipulation, prepare to bear the consequences.”
Cheaters showed hesitance upon hearing the announcement. The elder then added another announcement to intimidate some competent young ones. “Alchemists below rank two are not permitted to enter the contest! If any cheaters are found, they shall be disqualified. If it is serious, they shall be executed. If anyone fights, they will be viewed as an enemy of Pill Valley.”
The last line was ad lib. Owing to the blow Pill Valley suffered yesterday, they needed to re-establish their authority and dignity. Lots of formidable cultivators lied in ambush after the attack.
Several shouts echoed throughout the venue. Arrogant alchemist started to behave themselves.
“The first round of Pill Concoction Convention is a test of an alchemist’s divine soul energy. Those who wish to compete need to enter the venue now!” The elder then departed.
The crowd rushed toward the maid up ahead. Yang Tian glanced around for a while before heading over to a maid he thought looked decent. She was petite, dainty and looked cute. She seemed very shy when she noticed Yang Tian scan her. When he went to speak, a large bell appeared in the void. Its aura swept through the entire city as though a mountain just grew from the ground.
The big bell rattled as it fired dozens of divine beams. Pill Valley pierced the foreheads of cheaters and dismembered them on the spot.
