Almighty – Ch. 875

Nine Great Sacred Mountains

Although he learnt a notable amount about the planet, Yang Tian deemed it tiny. Sun Continent was only one domain, yet it was dozens of times the size of the new planet he landed on. It was hard to believe it was where Dao Sect originated. He developed an interest in the legends passed down from ancient times, however. They gave him hope of finding Dao Sect’s Inheritances.

Unlike Sun Continent, this planet was flawless. Yang Tian was determined to reawaken the energy on the planet to optimise it for cultivation. He believed human potential to exceed technology.

The curse Yang Tian was afflicted with would cause him to cough blood and Qi. He lacked sufficient Merit to erase it. He was determined to find a cure, nevertheless. The blood he coughed up startled Qing Xiaoyue; she could not believe a god coughed blood. She confirmed he was not from her planet after spending a few days with him.

The way she called him “Brother Yang Tian” reminded him of Yun’er, who he had yet to save. His situation did not help. Noticing Yang Tian’s tender gaze, Qing Xiaoyue asked, “Brother Yang Tian, are you thinking about someone?”

Yang Tian took in a deep breath and made his way inside, ignoring Qing Xiaoyue’s question. She curled her lips and waved her fist at him.

After researching River Diagram, natural phenomena and performing divinations for a long time, Yang Tian was surprised the heaven’s secrets on the planet were unbelievably erratic to the point River Diagram could not reveal them. There was too much Chaos covering the secrets he wanted to see. He clenched his fists.

When Yang Tian went outside and asked Qing Xiaoyue if she knew about River Diagram, she was shocked he knew about it. Her elders from her hometown told her about the myth when she was young. They claimed they were descendants of Blue Deity. She thought it was all a fairy tale back in the day.

Yang Tian: “You know River Diagram?”

“Of course?”

Yang Tian sat down to prepare to listen, but he noticed a sly look on Qing Xiaoyue’s face, much to his chagrin. He asked, “What are you doing, Xiaoyue?”

“Hehe, nothing. I can tell you about Star Diagram, but you have to teach me some skills.”

“Ugh.” Yang Tian rolled his eyes. “Hmph, fine. Not now, though.”

Qing Xiaoyue curled her lips. “Why? Just teach me a little bit. It won’t hurt.”

Yang Tian smiled helplessly. “This place isn’t made for cultivating. You won’t get anywhere even if I taught you.”

“Hmph, excuses, excuses. No teach. No talk. My ancestor is Blue Deity; he’s connected to River Diagram.”

Yang Tian shook his head and pointed around. “There’s no Original Qi here. You can’t cultivate even if I teach you the method.”

Qing Xiaoyue frowned and bemoaned, “I think I heard my grandfather say there as a dragon vein sealed at Nine Great Sacred Mountains, thereby reducing Original Qi and shortening lifespans.”

“Can you stop beating around the bush?”

Qing Xiaoyue sat down next to Yang Tian and hugged his arm. “Brother Yang Tian, how about I go back to your world with you?”

Yang Tian smiled helplessly. “I could take you as my disciple if I could resolve my problems first. Call it fate if you will.”

Qing Xiaoyue did not like the idea. She coquettishly expressed, “I don’t want to be your disciple. You’re not old. You can’t be my shifu.”

If Yang Tian was to recruit disciples back on Sun Continent, he would have had a line from East to West, yet Qing Xiaoyue refused. He shrugged and smiled. “Up to you. Now, back to what you know.”

Qing Xiaoyue had forgotten a lot of the things she heard in her childhood. Noticing her awkward expression, Yang Tian remarked, “You’re not fooling me, are you?”

“I wouldn’t fool you. I just don’t know how to start.” Qing Xiaoyue curled her lips. Her façade did not hold up. At the drop of a hat, she smiled brightly. “How about I take you to my hometown? My grandfather would know. Plus, what I heard there doesn’t match up with the hearsay outside my hometown.”

“I can work with that.” Yang Tian stood up.

“Time to go home.”

Qing Xiaoyue ran off to pack her luggage, eager to travel and hoping Yang Tian could unravel the mysteries she had yet to for her.
