Almighty – Ch. 870

Activating the Altar

A red streak of mist descended from the sky and penetrated the altar’s light barrier. The second the curse made contact, one was doomed. Yang Tian powered up and shielded his body using a field of Chaos. However, the nightmare dragon informed him it was useless and instructed, “He used his own blood to execute it. Get through the dimensional gate!”

After racing into the gate, it slowly closed behind Yang Tian. The profound formation patterns manifested. The majority of the red mist was cut off outside, but some got in. The altar and door teleported away.

The parts of Yang Tian’s body afflicted by the red mist burnt his flesh. He used all of the dao voices in him to stop the corrosion. He was unable to muster much strength. The nightmare dragon was glad it was not any worse, however. It was amazing the curse could overwhelm Merit. Yang Tian’s Merit saved him from death, but he needed divine herbs to remove the curse permanently. Thus, he circulated Merit from the Merit Cauldron inside him, alleviating the dry skin condition.

“How do I erase the curse?” Yang Tian had a headache. He could not use his cultivation for as long as the curse was in effect, much less return.

“I need to think. Have a nap. Your dao scripture will run on its own accord.”

Yang Tian nodded and went to bed. The devil voice violated his insides, but Merit stopped it from touching his body.

Yang Tian was off to another domain. It was a long journey.

The various stars in the cold universe twinkled, keeping each other company.

The altar absorbed the universe’s energy for fuel; it was not easy. The altar’s destination was Dao Sect’s genesis location.

Many adepts died travelling from star to star.

There were lots of ancient paths. Nobody knew who built them. Lots were broken and hard to traverse.

They passed by many frightening corpses comparable to divine devils. On that day, a corpse the size of Hundred Thousand Mountain blocked their path. The corpse was made from divine iron. Its residue qi and blood were still amazing. The corpse eventually drifted off somewhere, granting the altar passage. Behind the corpse was a place shrouded in celestial mist, purple mist, bright and colourful lights and dao voices. They were looking at only a corner of the building. They could not tell where it went since it just flashed by. It did not have the slightest thing to do with the altar; hence, the altar continued on its way along the star formation.

There was a small apparatus scouting the universe that spotted the altar floating around. The lifeless apparatus photographed the altar, and the altar vanished without a trace. Where was the altar teleported to?

The people in an experiment room on an azure planet cheered as soon as they received the data.
