Supreme Swordsman of the Nine Heavens – Ch. 464

I Have the Luck of the Devil

The smile on Ling Zheng’s face indicated that sword talismans were his source of confidence. He could command each talisman through sheer will alone and not have to worry about their output since it was automated to always shoot the strongest attack.

Mu Yu had to switch his strategy as it was impossible for him to factor for every sword fired at him. He activated a formation near him, teleporting him away. Though one might’ve expected the flying swords to collide into each other, they didn’t. To the contrary, they found themselves a talisman to sheath themselves.

Ling Zheng kept his cool and waited for Mu Yu to resurface. As soon as Mu Yu returned, Ling Zheng unleashed his next barrage at Mu Yu. He, however, only sent a dozen swords at Mu Yu and had the rest camp spots throughout the arena to catch Mu Yu instantaneously if the latter teleported again.

Mu Yu teleported again.

“I must admit Ling Zheng is prudent,” Zhuge Xiaosheng muttered under his breath.

“Heavenly Star Formation teleports you randomly, and you can only use it in the arena. I now have every spot in this arena marked; you’re a cornered rat,” Ling Zheng jeered.

“You actually think your Demon Sword Dance Talisman can counter my Heavenly Star Formation?”

Ling Zheng immediately launched a golden blast from his body to block Mu Yu’s sword thrust from his rear.

“You have the luck of devil, landing behind me.”

Ling Zheng spun around and shielded his back with a number of sword talismans in the northwest.

Mu Yu teleported again.

“Let’s see how lucky you are this time.”

To Ling Zheng’s bafflement, Mu Yu didn’t appear again for a while. When Mu Yu emerged again, he emerged at the vacant spot where Ling Zheng just took swords from!

“Tch! He must be lucky again!” Ling Zheng flung all of his flying swords at Mu Yu, leaving a vacancy in the south. “Flukes don’t happen thrice!”

Picking up Mu Yu’s aura again, Ling Zheng pivoted to the south. “Impossible. How are you controlling where you go?”

“Why you asking the obvious? I’m lucky.”

During his experimentation, Mu Yu noticed that Heavenly Star Formation and Dustfallen Stance fit like a glove. Combining the two equipped him with the unique ability to select where he’d emerge.

“Don’t give me that tripe! It’s impossible for you to constantly reappear in my sword talisman’s empty spots!”

“We don’t offer tripe-spouting classes here at Formation Sect. I have the luck of the devil today,” Mu Yu retorted with a grin.

Ling Zheng decided to give up on what was futile and aggressed, “So what if you’re lucky? You plan to play hide and seek all day?”

Mu Yu started doing stretches. “You don’t like hide and seek? In that case, let’s discuss what swordplay really is.”

“You want to discuss swordplay with me? You want my shoes to carry instead?” Ling Zheng mocked, believing nobody was qualified to discuss swordplay with him since his sword talisman was unrivalled back home.

“You’re the one auditor on who can discuss what and when? Since when?”

As Mu Yu’s eyes turned black and white, a formation around him triggered.
