Almighty – Ch. 703

Winner!

The top three were already set in stone. The remaining seven spots, then, were unfathomably valuable. First place was a contest between soul fusion pill and phoenix heavenly sacred pill. The unknown variable was how many realms one could ascend if consuming a soul fusion pill. This put the elders in a pickle.

At the manifestation phase, ascending and cultivating a Life Soul would mean attaining an extra Divine Soul clone. If the split for the clone failed, the Divine Soul would be erased. As such, soul fusion pill’s potency was of utmost importance.

An elder appeared while everyone was chattering and gave Yang Tian a smile. “Meng Tian’s rank eight soul fusion pill is very beneficial for ascending to Sage Manifestation Realm and far surpasses its high-grade rank seven version. Meng Tian is hereby declared this time’s winner!”

Alchemists performed cupped-fists salutes to congratulate Yang Tian, which he returned.

Strangely, Yang Tian changed the formula within a short time frame, baffling Dan Xueyi.

Zhang Ying: “You must’ve used blue moon divine milk, correct? If Alchemy Alliance’s First Elder knew the milk was his, would he…”

Yang Tian froze and glanced over to Zhang Ying, who was in second place.

The girl from the devil race was ranked third. Yang Tian gave the latter a faint smirk. She was boiling with rage. Meanwhile, clans were calling out to them, but Yang Tian ignored them all.

The ten headed to a palace where lots of adepts were.

Oblivious to the fact Yang Tian was already in first place. Ming Ye looked around and egotistically thought to himself, Why isn’t he here? He must be scared. There are hardly any pill and martial art geniuses on my level on the continent…

Yang Tian saw ten jade discs carrying precious herbs in the palace. He trained his gaze on the yin yang revitalisation flower hovering in the air. He wore his joy on his face upon finding the flower he’d spent ages searching for. Nevertheless, the other herbs were also amazing in their own right. There were only three rank eight herbs; the rest were rank seven herbs.

“These are the rewards. Meng Tian may start. Everyone can choose one item.” The elder gave Yang Tian a smile. “You can begin.”

Yang Tian nodded, then grabbed the yin yang revitalisation flower, allowing him to finally get it off his chest. However, a youth in white approached and called, “Wait.”

Yang Tian frowned and glanced over. The youth came in fourth place with his high-grade rank seven. Yang Tian didn’t have much of an impression of the youth. Yang Tian pursed his lips and took the herb. “What’s the matter?”

Noticing the herb was gone, the youth furrowed his eyebrows. “I am Cao Feng. I entered the alchemy convention for the herb. Could you let me have it? I am willing to pay twice the price for it.”

Cao Feng was from one of the reclusive nine clans. He was twenty-three years old and a rank seven alchemist.

Yang Tian clenched his fists and shook his head. Voice calm, he replied, “Sorry, but I entered for the same reason.”

Cao Feng took in a deep breath. He deliberately stated his name to have Yang Tian back off, but the latter was more persistent than he expected. He gave Yang Tian a condescending look and wore an ambiguous smile: “An elder in my clan suffered grievous wounds. I need it to save his life. Please let me have it, Brother Meng. I can give you anything you need.”

Yang Tian shook his head. “Sorry, but I won’t sell it.”

Cao Feng turned hostile, creating an oppressive atmosphere.

The elder stepped in. “Next, second place.”

Zhang Ying nodded and took a random herb before stepping back.

Yang Tian pursed his lips when he sensed Cao Feng’s hostility. Yang Tian sat down in a chair and shut his eyes.

Cao Feng silently fumed, Has the continent forgotten about us after we secluded ourselves for all these years?

Yang Tian’s group then went to a hall, and they headed up. Yang Tian looked forward to what rank seven pill he would be rewarded. He looked around for a while on the third floor before turning to the elder opposite him. He touched his nose and smiled. “Greetings, First Elder.”

The elder stroked his beard. “You and I are now on equal footing, so let us address each other as friends. I am astonished you won.”

Yang Tian grinned/ “I was merely lucky, First Elder.”

“Haha, you need more than luck to win. Are you with any sect at the moment?”

“No. I have always been cultivating on my own.”

Yang Tian had a good guess as to what was going on; the elder was attempting to recruit him. The elder smiled. “What do you think of Alchemy Alliance? We may not be the strongest faction in Central State. But nonetheless, nobody dares to push us around. If you would join us, we shall instate you as an elder.”

Yang Tian shrugged and smiled. “I am used to being free. I also have a lot of enemies. Thus, I am not suited to joining Alchemy Alliance.”

“You need not do anything as a worshipped elder, and you will also be granted a large volume of cultivation resources on a monthly basis. You can also have the alliance help you search for any item. You only need to be there when we are facing a crisis.”

It was an attractive offer. Yang Tian wavered. The alliance could be a great resource – evident from the yin yang revitalisation flower.

The elder smiled. “Tingting is progressing quickly. She’s already reached Warrior Realm. She misses you. If you join us, she would be elated.”

Yang Tian rolled his eyes and had another think. He then nodded. “I am all right with joining you, but I often travel. By that, I mean that it will be hard for me to return.”
