Fighting for a Disciple
Ye Mei and the proprietor were friends with benefits. She bullied other attendants because of that. Eventually, she managed to land herself in hot water. He was almost dead certain she captured Tingting. He wiped his cold sweat.
Yang Tian didn’t know who Ye Mei was, but he wanted her dead. He said to the girl, “Don’t be scared. Take me there.”
“She should be in room number three,” The proprietor interjected, nodding and leading the way.
Dan Xueyi wasn’t too happy. “The rest of you can get a move on. What are you all standing around for?”
Not a single soul dared to dally.
The proprietor smiled upon reaching a door. “Sir, this is the room.”
Nobody said a word. Yang Tian trained his gaze on the stone door. He booted the formation and door to fragments, then scowled. Tingting was curled up in a corner and quivering! She looked deathly pale. Her arms were bleeding. Her bones were visible.
Ye Mei jolted. Yang Tian’s appearance startled her. Tingting blinked. She cried, “Big Brother…”
Tingting discovered the cultivation method Yang Tian passed on to her was a Star Rank cultivation method, something she couldn’t afford even if she worked for ten lifetimes.
Yang Tian wiped Tingting’s tears and smiled, concealing his intense desire to kill. “Don’t cry, Tingting…”
The wound on Tingting’s arm fanned Yang Tian’s fury.
Next, Tingting rendered everyone stupefied, as she quivered and said, “Big Brother, you didn’t pay the bloodstones when you left…. Tingting was planning to wait for you to come back to tell you, but she wouldn’t believe me…”
Xuanyuan Mu scratched his head and rolled his eyes. Yang Tian looked awkward. He slowly rose to his feet and shifted his gaze to Ye Mei. “This is what you do just because she didn’t have bloodstones?”
“Sir, this one is sorry. Please spare me!”
“You pierced a hole in Tingting. To return the favour, I’ll give put a hundred holes in you!”
Yang Tian hurled Ye Mei at a wall. The sound of her bones breaking echoed in the room! Tingting was dumbstruck. She had never seen someone so ruthless. The proprietor wiped his cold sweat. A perceptive man himself, he dragged Ye Mei’s corpse out.
Yu Yao scanned Tingting. “Something’s odd about this girl.”
Tingting wiped her tears. In a pitiful tone, she pleaded, “Big Brother, please take Tingting in as your disciple.”
Yang Tian didn’t know what to do besides touch his nose. Tingting shook his arm. “Big Brother, Tingting will train diligently.”
“A disciple with Green Tree Divine Body is a terrific deal,” said the mysterious girl, making an appearance.
Dan Xueyi immediately looked over to Tingting. Xuanyuan Mu and Yu Yao exchanged eye contact. Yang Tian was surprised the mysterious girl discerned Tingting was a divine body owner with a single glance. Meanwhile, Tingting was so impressed with the girl’s beauty that she instinctively muttered, “So pretty…”
Tingting timidly hid behind Yang Tian when she noticed all the gazes on her.
Dan Xueyi gave Tingting a charming smile. “Do you want to cultivate at Alchemy Alliance?”
Tingting didn’t quite follow. As far as she was aware, all those who she came across would bully her. Suddenly inviting her to cultivate at Alchemy Alliance was unusual.
Yu Yao: “Hmph, Star River Sect wants to recruit her. She’s mine.”
Dan Xueyi’s grandpa: “That would be inappropriate. She is a member of Alchemy Alliance, after all.”
Yang Tian curled his lips upon seeing the elder.
Dan Xueyi sent her grandpa a signal the moment she found out Tingting possessed a divine body.
Yu Yao fearlessly surveyed Tingting. “Inappropriate in your world only. Don’t play the elder card with me.”
Yang Tian waved his hand with a smile. Tingting was bound to be trained and treated well given her divine body, but he said, “You should respect her choice, shouldn’t you? It doesn’t matter where she goes.”
Yu Yao caressed Tingting’s head with a smile. “If you come with me, I’ll have Star River Sect’s grand elder take you as his disciple and give you a bunch of treasures. Does that sound good to you?”
Dan Xueyi’s grandpa chuckled. “Alchemy Alliance can offer the same. Whatever it is you want, just say the word.”
Tingting blinked out of befuddlement. She couldn’t keep up with them, so she glanced back and forth between them before settling on Yang Tian. She didn’t understand why they wanted to take her in as their disciple; nevertheless, she quietly said to Yang Tian, “Mother said to go with whoever treats Tingting nice. Tingting wants to go with you.”
Yang Tian touched his nose and brooded for a moment. He smiled. “Uh… I can’t bring you with me. I have too many enemies. It’ll be dangerous. You should choose another sect.”
Yu Yao: “Exactly, he spells trouble.”
Tingting sobbed with red eyes. “Big Brother, do you hate Tingting?”
Yang Tian waved a hand. “Not at all. Who could hate you when you’re so cute?”
Yang Tian wanted to take Tingting with him to Eastern Alliance. Having said that, he needed to treat Yun’er.
Dan Xueyi’s grandpa suggested, “How about this: I’ll teach her for some time. When you’re ready, you can pick her up from our clan. I promise to pass her on to you if you wish.”
Yu Yao didn’t buy it, evident from her glaring out the corner of her eye. “As if I’d believe you. She should start with Star River Sect.”
Dan Xueyi’s grandpa shook his head. “Tingting was our clansmen in the first place. How can she join Star River Sect?”
