The Overautarch Realm elder’s energy reached the space above Big Spirit City before he did. Wu Li’s delight was equal to his fear since the elder was Xiao Yuan’s father. Ningxiu panicked and asked her sister what they were to do. She even stamped her feet and tugged her sister’s sleeve. Ningxue was worried Yang Tian couldn’t defeat an Overautarch Realm adept.
Second Elder, Xiao Hai, made a heavy landing. He shifted his bright gaze onto Xiao Yuan and raged out loud, blowing up adepts. Everyone fled. Xiao Hai didn’t expect to find his son dead after visiting a friend nearby. Xiao Hai’s might far surpassed an Autarch Realm adept, demonstrated from his control over his Source.
Xiao Hai took out a jar. He released a Divine Soul from it. The dying Divine Soul was Xiao Yuan! What an amazing secret technique. Xiao Yuan cried, “Dad… I don’t want to die… I don’t want to die…”
How could Xiao Yuan accept dying in his twenties, when he was in his prime and had mistresses waiting for him? He vengefully looked to Yang Tian. “He killed me, Dad. Kill him!”
Xiao Hai collected Xiao Yuan’s Divine Soul and calmly stared at Yang Tian. The atmosphere froze.
Ningxue: “What do we do…? What do we do…?”
Yang Tian tensed up, but he was too slow; Xiao Hai’s palm was already too close to his chest. Yang Tian coughed blood as he went reeling. Nobody saw Xiao Hai move.
Ningxue: “Damn it!”
Yang Tian collapsed. His chest convulsed. He was happy. That was the legendary Unfettered Steps!
Wu Li thought Xiao Hai would’ve killed Yang Tian with the last blow, but Yang Tian’s body was too amazing!
Xiao Hai chuckled. “This will save me the trouble of searching for a body. Yours is perfect!”
Xiao Hai wanted to use Yang Tian’s body to “revive” Xiao Yuan. Xiao Yuan could’ve surpassed Xiao Hai with Yang Tian’s body! He wanted to capture Yang Tian alive.
Not knowing what to do, Ningxiu gnashed her teeth.
Yang Tian wiped the blood at his mouth and stood up. After a snicker, he remarked, “Don’t count your eggs before they hatch…”
Xiao Hai walked toward Yang Tian. “This old one wonders where an Almighty Realm weakling gets his confidence from…”
Xiao Hai’s footsteps shook the air. He rapidly gathered energy above Yang Tian. Yang Tian’s bones cracked under the pressure. His viscera unleashed dao recitals. His body vibrated. The next step Xiao Hai took increased the pressure again. Yang Tian would be one ace short if he didn’t unleash his Bloodline. Still, that would only help him ascend to Autarch Realm; he’d still be weaker than an Overautarch. Plus, he’d expose himself and encourage more killers to come after him.
Xiao Hai: “I wouldn’t have been your match at your realm.”
Yang Tian snickered as though he had another trick up his sleeve. “Let’s see if you have what it takes to take my body!”
“Don’t get too cocky, young man. This old one has survived on the continent for millenniums. You’re still wet behind the ears.”
Yang Tian’s glow brightened comparably to the moon. Seven stars went ballistic. Star streams descended.
Xiao Hai’s eye twitched. “You’re from Star River Sect?”
Star River Sect and Unfettered Valley didn’t have much of a conflict to speak of.
Ningxiu tugged Ningxue’s clothing. “Is he from Star River Sect?”
Ningxue shook her head. “I don’t think so. He came from Eastern Continent; Star River Sect isn’t in the East.”
Yang Tian: “You’re not qualified to know.”
Xiao Hai turned hostile and increased the pressure he discharged. “Hmph, who cares if you are from Star River Sect. This one is taking your body!”
Large golden seals inside the sea of stars vibrated, making the divine sea more formidable. Yang Tian treated Xiao Hai to a serve of Annihilation Seal. Star rivers blasted Celestial Flames on par with waves. Xiao Hai found it ridiculously laughable and prepared to counter. To his dismay, the seals gathered and rose. Yang Tian’s prowess was so unfathomable Xiao Hai was amazed.
“The stronger you are, the more my son benefits!” Xiao Hai dropped a sky-shrouding hand.
