Almighty – Ch. 610

Looking Back Again!

The daoist in the ancient palace was surprised as it was bizarre for the creature from the outside world to not be dead. World was surprised the Almighty Realm adept was able to live until then when Dao Deity Mountain only opened once every three millenniums. The daoist stroked his white beard, then flicked his hand, conjuring the scene at the bottom of the staircase before him; his goal was to identify the mystery.

The dismal black bird was still perched on the tree. After a year of waiting, its Source recovered considerably, but it was worried Yang Tian met with mishap. Mid-thought, it spread its wings when it detected tremendous energy tried to catch it in its grasp. Its fear subsided when it saw Yang Tian. Three incredible individuals emerged in the palace before its fear could completely subside. Its heart skipped a beat. The daoist, therefore, noticed golden circles around the bird’s Source. The circles were the long-lost skill: Rebirth Divine Skill.

Hearing the daoist’s mumbling, the black bird’s tension rose and sweated cold bullets. Yang Xiao gulped. He knew about the adept who knew the skill in ancient times.

The daoist pursed his lips and calmly remarked, “Hmm, you must’ve consumed a rebirth divine fruit. That’d explain how you stayed for so long.”

Yang Tian gulped upon hearing the mention of the fruit that could rival vitality divine tree.

The bird speculated the two were deities, since they could see through all of his secrets. Respectfully, he answered, “Yes, Elder.”

World nodded. “Impressive for an ordinary small bird.”

The daoist stroked his beard. “May this old one see your Rebirth Divine Skill?”

The bird didn’t hesitate because he only got so far thanks to the skill.

“Greedy daoist, let me see first.” World snatched the bird’s jade slip over first and sent his Divine Soul inside.

Angry, the daoist glared at World out of his peripherals and snorted under his breath. World pouted, crying petty. World only copied down some of the contents; he didn’t purposely try to grasp the contents. If adepts of their calibre learnt it, they could learn many profound things about the world.

Daoist: “I’m petty? Who was the one who tricked my disciple’s body from me…?”

“It’s just a sack of skin. It’s a privilege for your disciple to be part of my Yang Clan’s rise to glory, hehe.” World handed the jade slip to the daoist.

World imposingly asked the bird, “The most important part of the skill is missing, isn’t it?”

Black bird: “Elder, the skill was fragmented in the first place.”

“I see…” World nodded.

World gave the portion he copied to Yang Tian and told the latter to not try and learn it until his cultivation was at an appropriate level, lest he end up facing repercussions. Yang Tian loved it so much he caressed it before storing it away. Yang Tian then pinched his eyebrows together and asked, “Elder World, are you not leaving?”

World could easily kidnap big names from the devil race, but he shook his head. “I’ll pass. If I leave, the devil race’s elders will probably have an urge to strike. Avoid using World Cauldron wherever possible; else, the devil race’s divine items will pick up on it.”

Yang Tian nodded and sighed to himself. A strong force caught three of them and sent them out of the void. The bird was almost moved to tears after being stuck in there for so long. That said, nothing was more unforgettable than the two unbelievable adepts at Dao Deity Mountain. Yang Tian suddenly became more amazing to him. The bird looked to Yang Xiao. He identified the Divine Soul as a Divine Soul.

The void in front split. Yang Tian stepped in. He heard running water. The waterfall was clear. Waves three metres tall rose, a scene he was familiar with. The bird laughed heartily. Yang Tian’s memories of the familiar place came back to him. When he went to the pool and saw the cracks and spear marks on the rocks in the vicinity, he almost shed tears.

Many years ago, his father taught Yang Ba spear skills. Yang Tian could recall the touching scene. Yang Tian ran his hands over a boulder. He vaguely remembered he was four or five at the time.  A decade had gone by since then.

Their father shouted, “The purpose of standing at the cliff is to train your determination. Don’t lose focus. Focus on grasping the spear skills. Make it an extension of your body.”

Young Yang Tian cheerfully waved his hands. “You can do it, Brother…”

At the same time, Yang Tian was worried his brother would slip if his foot shifted another thirteen centimetres.

Yang Xiao looked over his shoulder at Yang Tian and chuckled. “Kiddo, you’ll have to learn to wield a spear when you grow older, too. Don’t wet your pants when it’s your turn.”

Startled, Yang Tian jerked his head back. “I’m not scared. You’ll wet your pants…”

Because of the nostalgia, Yang Tian raged out loud. His killing intent seeped into the air. The boulders around exploded. Everything was but a happy memory.
