Blood Spilt
The forest in the mountains was bloody and demolished – courtesy of a raging adept. After sweeping their gazes over the silent area, Yang Tian and Yun’er gave each other a nod. Their strategy was to split the elders up. With her lips pursed, Yun’er set up a concealment formation using refinement materials and bloodstones. Meanwhile, Yang Tian shut his eyes for a while. When he opened them, they discharged lightning bolts that spread around.
The lightning bolts coiled around Yang Tian’s red body. His crimson glow stirred once the lightning bolts hit the dead qi. Once he cried, “Destroy,” his golden qi and blood blasted epically. The lightning bolts rapidly disintegrated the red light around him. Howbeit, the ruckus resonated far and wide, alerting the elder in the distance.
The elder, who was capable of thrashing Yang Tian despite merely ranked as a domain guardian, raced back toward the location the lights came from.
A couple of seconds of zapping and the lightning dismantled the red energy. Yun’er fired a jadeite beam from her fingertip after a series of blinks, seemingly teleporting them away.
The elder who arrived on the scene smiled confidently. He jeered, “Your formation won’t save you.”
To destroy the illusion formation, the elder palmed a jet stream of energy at it. Yang Tian, well ahead, prepared his golden lightning bell beforehand in front and a black pearl behind; the two charged toward the elder the second the formation crumbled.
The elder thereupon churned energy to intercept the golden bell. The instant before impact, the lightning imploded, plunging him into a state of panic. As a result, he kept discharging energy to push the golden lightning away. Once he recollected himself, he punched the nine nether pearl Xiaoji gave Yang Tian. Alas, the black pearl exploded, transforming into a ghost and emitted dangerous black lights.
“Run!” yelled Yang Tian, grabbing Yun’er’s hand, unleashing seven golden clones and fleeing once he sensed incoming hostiles.
The ghost devoured all the energy the elder discharged, so he chopped a clone. Enraged upon seeing the remaining clones, he shouted as he summoned a seal and blasted the clones. The ghost continued to devour his glow around him, freaking him out.
The beardless elder who appeared was shocked to see the ghost. “How come there’s so much Nine Nether Qi?”
“Senior Brother, what do I do?” asked the elder, panic-stricken.
“It won’t kill you despite the volume. Fight back with all your power, and you’ll be fine,” instructed the beardless elder, summoning a copper furnace to contain the elder.
The next two elders who arrived stopped briefly before taking off again.
Yang Tian burnt through his golden lake rapidly utilising Unfettered Omnidirectional Steps to produce as many clones as possible, so he knew it wasn’t a viable long-term strategy when he looked over his shoulder and scratched his head.
The two Almighty Realm elders on Yang Tian’s tail slaughtered every beast they came across. One vengefully demanded, “Come back with me, runt.”
The two elders released an attack toward Yang Tian. The large area of effect attack annoyed Yang TIan, who coughed blood. There was no escaping even if he could go faster.
Yun’er shed tears for Yang Tian didn’t let her help to avoid her revealing her Divine Body. “What do we do, Brother Yang Tian?”
Yang Tian scrubbed Yun’er’s head and smiled. “It’s fine. I’ll just sleep for a year in the worst case scenario.”
A golden humanoid in an unknown void brayed, “Who killed my race’s creature?”
