Stepmom-con – Ch. 116

Chapter 116

A day later Erisu, Sarai and Mana returned to the Beipan capital and went to the council meeting. They had arranged themselves well and walked in front of the rows of monarchs who were all part of the Alliance to plead their case to bring those people with them.

Mana and Erisu left to run other errands around the Alliance and deliver messages.

Erisu however wasn’t in the mood for being pleasant anymore and was sick of everything that had happened before. They wanted to talk about the demon invasion as this event that they all had to unite over and would refuse uniting with the Rose Empire simply because the Rose Empire didn’t want to submit to them.

King Bide was sitting in the front chair and the high council. He stood up and called the entire meeting to order.

King Bide:”The Council has gathered today to talk about a request made by Erisu the Heroine to have soldiers go to the demon gate and fight the demon invasion. Erisu please come forward and speak to the council.”

Erisu walked forward. There were ridiculing smiles around her. It was obvious that no matter what she said it would be rebuffed and they would come up with lies and the stupidest excuses to prevent her from getting any sort of help.

Thus she had made a plan for this. Erisu took to the stage and began to speak.

Erisu:”Thank you your Majesty. I have come here to request the right of those who wish to fight the demons the freedom to move towards the gate and assist in fighting them before they reach any human civilizations. The demons during the invasion will pour out of the gate and the sooner the gate is reached the sooner it can be sealed. Thus I see no reason to give them time to invade up to Alliance lands.”

Her argument was logical and succinct, the problem was that the leader fo the alliance had ulterior motives.

If Roy hadn’t come back and given her access to such an amazing system then she would have been frantic but now she could hold her head high with dignity. There was a difference between having power and needing someone else’s power. When power from someone else was needed then cheating, manipulation and deception would be necessary but now it wasn’t.

The first to step up was Queen Pelos.

Queen Pelos: “I don’t see how we need to send anyone to the front of the gate. If we begin by sending them out early then we may waste resources if there is no invasion.”

What a ridiculous argument.

Erisu:”Let’s just have a vote, I don’t feel like arguing.”

Those words made everyone in the council room a bit shocked. They had expected the heroine to get on her knees and beg and then after King Bide would try to force her to marry Hunte in order to seek help. She would need to sign a contract.

King Bide had told them to make sure they don’t get reinforcements and to come up with as many arguments against it as possible.

King Harri:”Heroine, it is always good to have arguments to be made rather than to just have your own side be heard.”

Erisu sighed.

Erisu:”Okay then, I retract my request. I will simply go and have a talk with those who were willing to come with me and will be on my way. There is nothing else I want to say.”

Erisu knew where it would go. Through the two months she had been working to try and convince people to go and help only those from the Temple and the Arcane Sanctum were willing to go. None of the soldiers, none of the army and none of the aristocrats would go.

Even the Temple helpers who were willing to help were threatened by unknown sources. It was the same for many of the mages who joined the Arcane Sanctum, and those who had joined the Adventurers. Adventure City was in the middle of Alliance lands and remained neutral, Dhalia already had many of them coming but the most numerous race on the continent were humans and the most powerful humans served kingdoms rather than becoming adventurers.

King Bide was put off by this as it was something he hadn’t expected.

King Bide:”Heroine, you helped the Alliance and did a very meritorious deed, are you sure you want to give up on your request? There are certainly those who will support you!”

Slimeball. Erisu could only think of that word.

Prince Hunte who was in attendance stood up and went to her side and bowed in her steed.

Prince Hunte:”Father, council, I have witnessed the gallantry of the heroine and I have witnessed how she cares about life. She cares for all human life, perhaps we can simply list out what we would like from her in order to grant this request?”

The charade kept going even though Erisu wanted it to stop. She had already said she was no longer participating and yet they still wanted to keep going.

Erisu:”None of that is necessary as I retract my request. I will go and face them myself.”

Prince Hunte:”Heroine, you still haven’t even heard what they want from you. You still haven’t seen what they want and there is no need to retract before at least hearing them out.”

Prince Hunte gave a smile as he spoke in a soft and soothing voice. Erisu became disgusted at him. There were always people in the world who tried to force their way into things and make things appear the way they want. Instead of leaving others alone and letting them be, they preferred to attack without relenting.

The act kept going but Erisu wanted it to stop, she was angry. She loved Roy, not the Prince. She found him disgusting. Even if she was one of eight women in Roy’s heart, at least Roy wasn’t someone who would toss her aside from his own gain and he wouldn’t throw her away.

He cared for her. He cared for all the women around him and even for Mana and Sarai. Roy was bashful and even felt he wasn’t worthy of them which made him someone she liked even more.

Considering the women of the world she came from, Erisu was an anomaly. She was also a pop star who was raised through much different means than the majority of others around the world.

Prince Hunte only cared about what he wanted, his status and had lewd eyes on her body.

Erisu:”There is no need, I withdraw and I don’t want to hear it.”

Erisu turned to leave but Prince Hunte grabbed her by the shoulder to turn her around.

Prince Hunte:”Heroine this is rude! We are trying to help you achieve your goals and you are turning your back on us!”

Erisu immediately threw the arm off her shoulder and glared at Prince Hunte.

Erisu:”I am not going to listen to your proposal because it’s going to have something to do with marrying you! Do you think I want to marry you when you completely disfigured the person I loved? When you make a move against those I care for and when you put a spy into my group… no you all put spies in my group! You all just want to force me to be with someone I do not want to be with when I want to be with Roy! You all… you all!”

Erisu stormed out and King Bide had Hunte come up to him as he dismissed the council. No one in the council said much as they were all part of King Bide’s faction, this also included King Harri and Queen Pelos.

King Bide:”Son, we will have to wait until after the sealing of the demon gate then we will kill the heroine.”

Prince Hunte:”Father! No, I want her. I want her to be mine. I will make her mine!”

King Bide:”She will not be willing to become yours. She is stubborn and already holds plenty fo resentment towards you and your sister. There is no need to go after her.”

Prince Hunte was unhappy but for the time being he was still not King. He could not challenge or refute his father. Queen Pelos walked forward with a dashing young man next to her. He was tall, sturdy and had a beauty within his face that put Prince Hunte into an inferiority complex. The Prince left.

Queen Pelos:”This is my son Prince Leonard, he has come to meet Princess Arla for the arranged marriage.”

Prince Leonard bowed to King Bide, his future father in law. There was an aura about him that showed he had a great amount of combat ability including the use of magic and physical ability within him. In comparison, General Psak would be a weakling.

Prince Leonard was said to have strength that would rival the five exterminators, but since he never fought them no one would know.

There was a good chance that Prince Hunte would not be able to lead the Alliance after King Bide steps down because Prince Leonard was simply too outstanding.

Prince Leonard:”I humbly greet you, your majesty.”

Prince Leonard did not bow as royalty never bow to anyone but he saluted the Alliance leader who returned his gesture. Princess Arla came forward and looked at Prince Leonard who took her hand to kiss it.

King Bide:”Prince, this is Princes Arla. She is my daughter.”

Prince Leonard nodded.

Princess Arla:”Welcome to our Kingdom your highness, let me show you around.”

She took Prince Leonard’s arm and left the council room. This left King Bide, King Harri and Queen Pelos with each other once more.

King Bide:”Your son is impressive.”

Queen Pelos:”He is the pride of my kingdom and the pride of my line. I only had him marry because he should be the next Alliance Leader per our agreement.”

King Bide nodded uneasily.

King Harri:”There is still the matter of the man who attacked and called himself Roy. We haven’t seen anything of him except that his corpse disappeared after the Heroine attacked him. There is also the matter of the Heroine, are you really going to kill her after she seals the gate?”

King Bide:”We have to kill her once she is done. There is no other choice to consider when she is not interested in the Alliance and will side with the Empire.”

Queen Pelos:”Prince Leonard can kill her.”

King Bide:”It’s not whether she can be killed but the losses she would incur after the invasion when others fight with her side by side. We need her alive until the gate is sealed, we don’t need anything after that.”

They continued to hatch a plan to scheme some more. It is easy to forget the happenings on a continent when one is engrossed in their lust for power.

Erisu, Sarai and Mana returned to the location to teleport back. Mana added a destruction spell to the formation. Once they used it and returned to the hidden keep it would disappear.

They returned to the keep and Erisu found Roy in the middle of the bed with all five of his mothers. The scene shocked her at first, even Mana and Sarai had an expression on her face.

Dhalia looked over and showed her fangs smiling.

Dhalia:”It’s not as if you all didn’t know this was happening.”

Erisu shook her head and took off her clothing before climbing into bed with them. Mana and Sarai followed suit. Although Roy was at the center of it all, there was difficulty for the eight of them not to put hands and lips on each other as well.

It was finally time to get revenge. The demon invasion was in two days. Eliza and Erisu had switched places. Eliza took the border between the Alliance and the Empire while Erisu took soldiers to the demon gate. Eliza took a level seven dragon rider while Erisu took the swordsman. I left the mages with them as well as I wanted to kill my targets and get revenge with a sword.

I didn’t plan to use an army. I planned on attacking them one by one and killing them until they were all dead.

I arrived once again in the capital, with the same sword and shield soldier who was a level seven. There was a guard on duty who was the same as before as I walked through, his eyes were wide opened.

Guard:”Sound the alarm! I’m telling you sound the alarm right now!”

His yelling was something different, maybe I scared him too badly last time. The first group of soldiers with shields and spears came out and pointed all of them at me. In formation they attacked but I was much stronger as the soldiers I had put to work had begun to eliminate the last bit of orcs left in the world.

Orcs were now going extinct like Goblins and the soldiers would be placed to deal with the demon invasion next. If this body wasn’t strong enough, it will continue to get stronger as long as those soldiers continue to kill and farm.

More guards came out.

Guards:”Kill the lunatic! Careful men! He’s strong!”

They got into another formation as I walked over.

Roy:”Why would you give your lives away for a King who is more than willing to throw you away for his own power?”

The soldiers didn’t say anything, instead they attacked and they died. I have to keep killing.

The Council had ended yesterday and despite searching the grounds around King Bide saw no reports of them finding the Heroine. After the council had ended he wanted to try to pull the Heroine to their side one more time, or at least keep tabs on her but she had completely disappeared.

Queen Pelos and King Harri were there with King Bide deliberating their next move and they had difficulty agreeing about how to proceed. The Demon invasion was coming and their soldiers were lining up on the border but they saw that the Empire was doing the same and lining soldiers up on the border with them as well.

This move puzzled the Alliance deeply.

Queen Pelos:”Why is the Empress putting her soldiers on our border? If they’re on our border then they have no intention of guarding against the demons!”

King Harri: “They must be waiting for the demons to come then allowing them to attack before moving into our territory.”

King Bide listened to both of their arguments but knew that this wasn’t the case. The contract he made with them was explicit and that was the reason he wanted to avoid helping the Rose empire as much as possible. If their soldiers crossed over then the Empress would die, as for the four exterminators? They would have to fight until death since they were not allowed on Empire lands.

King Bide:”That’s not what is happening.”
