Pursuit
Yang Tian and Yun’er were so fast that they raised eyebrows and caused whistling winds. Yun’er felt safe hanging onto Yang Tian. They didn’t fly, as flying was prohibited there. However, they crossed hundreds of metres each step. Every spot he stomped on left dents after he propelled himself forward. The red sparrow the duo previously thrashed was enraged when a stray rock hit him whilst he was drinking; the sparrow eventually identified Yang Tian. An elder who emerged from the ruins wondered if he was looking at a Mutated Beast.
The patriarch saw the last traces of blood of First Elder once he was cremated. The four elders looked at each other, hoping someone would know what their patriarch was doing. The patriarch fired a flame at the trace of blood and turned it into a big fire. The name of his technique was Dead Spirit Divine Technique. In essence, its user would refine qi and blood from the dead, allowing them to locate the culprit.
The energy released from the blood pointed out of the company. The patriarch commanded, “Apprehend him. He should be a Battle King. Don’t kill him.”
“Yes, Patriarch,” responded the four elders, before speeding off.
“Interesting. Well, he saved me the trouble of killing the sick pervert,” remarked the patriarch, quietly laughing.
Sensing the energy on him, Yang Tian cursed, “How did they find me…?”
“Brother Yang Tian, we have four elders on our tail.”
The energy caught up and hit Yang Tian, illuminating a red light on him. Spotting the red signal, the elders raced toward him. One brayed, “This is what you get for getting full of yourself!”
The red sparrow laughed as he watched the entertainment. Others dropped their jaws. Yang Tian fired back: “Oh, but it’s okay for your company to embezzle what I asked to be auctioned?”
Yang Tian’s statement consolidated his identity as a foreigner. There was no such thing as a clean company at the City of Chaos. Killing their seller to embezzle goods was the norm.
“Your excuses won’t save you now, Kid.”
Yang Tian picked Yun’er up and stomped hard to leap as high as he could, splitting the ground. An elder launched a large hand. Blood sprayed across the sky upon impact. Seven golden figures with identical auras charged down toward the four elders. The elder frowned. He was unable to distinguish between clones and Yang TIan’s real body; he didn’t know what martial technique it was, either.
It was just an upgraded version of Unfettered Omnidirectional Steps; Yang Tian’s cultivation improvement just made seven clones possible. More noteworthy, nonetheless, was the tracking energy was on all seven clones.
“Get them!” commanded the elder, voice ear-splitting.
The moment the elder made his move, the other six split off into different voids.
