Nine Heavens’ Stardust
The grey smog seemed destructive; however, the pressure couldn’t unnerve Chaos Physique no matter how much it dialled up the intensity. That relieved and pleased Yang Tian.
Yang Tian held on to a premium-grade bloodstone and sat below the altar to absorb the energy within the bloodstone.
Chaos Physique swiftly headed to the purple and gold jade container. Half way there, the divine soul in the void futilely attacked. The stone statue shook when Chaos Physique was nearly there. Chaos Physique bent as a result of the rapid pressure amplification.
Wasting no time, Yang Tian expelled Sword Aura from Dubhe Divine Sword, and it wreathed around Chaos Physique alongside Chaos Qi. Silver droplets surfaced on his skin as he prayed Chaos Physique hurried up.
Though bent and twisted, the pressure didn’t inflict any damage to Chaos Physique. Nothing could penetrate its lightning and star armour. Having arrived within reached of the purple and gold jade container, it reached out for it. Alas, the mysterious stone statue suddenly opened its eyes that could murder with a stare.
“Retreat!” yelled Yang Xiao.
Danger invaded every cell in Yang Tian’s body. He discharged a star blast as he swiftly snatched up the container.
The rumbling in the void was akin to deities reciting scriptures inside the statue.
The statue fired a beam of light. Yang Tian explosively leapt back, subsequently sprinting to the spot underneath the altar.
The recital captured Yang Tian’s Chaos Physique. Chaos Physique fired a star river upward toward the second purple and gold container. Enraged, the statue raised the volume of the recital and shifted his target toward the star river to restrain it. Chaos Physique sped off. Yang Tian breathed laboriously when he plopped himself on the ground.
The stone statue didn’t destroy the star river. Instead, a violent tornado swept it up and jammed it into Chaos Physique. The guardian statue – presumably – was a testament to what was stored inside the container.
Yang Xiao shrugged with a smile. “I believe this is a place to accumulate experience. My guess is you struck the statue’s wrong nerve because you used a quirk.”
“Oh…”
Yang Tian exhaled, then stood up. He peered at the statue that had calmed down. Hesitant, he decided to give up on the second container below. He picked up a radiant, warm container the size of a human’s face.
The contents inside the box were orderly arranged. There was the golden mist, the river of stars, the qi and blood. All listed items contained divine attributes. A quirk emerged above it. The golden battle spear vibrated.
“Uncle Xiao, th-these are divine materials.”
Yang Xiao silently grabbed the container. There were twelve bright grains of sand that contained scenes of destroyed stars. He ran his hands over the twelve grains. “Th-there’s a world in each grain. These are nine heavens’ stardust, and twelve is a large amount!”
Legends claimed that nine heavens’ stardust could only be formed at the ends of the sky, and each grain could subdue anything in the world. The material was the best divine material for creating defence items. The nine floors star city a Celestial Weapon star tower set up was almost impregnable in the ancient era.
“The whereabouts of the second item has been found,” mumbled Yang Xiao, glancing over to the next item.
The second item was a round, smooth fist-sized rock containing qi and blood with profound divine markings. A formidable adept’s will was imbued in it. The stone was capable of rivalling bloodthirsty devil crystals. Eyes tracing the phantasmal blood-red phoenix it spawned, Yang Xiao cried, “It’s a blood phoenix divine stone!”
