Merging Sources
The crackling air was seen as ripples. Vital essence circulated through Yang Tian’s interior, which was a field of smoke – courtesy of the flames incinerating his body. Vital essence had to escape through his nose and mouth as crimson light.
A dragon leapt out from Yang Tian’s spine. The qi and blood dragon roamed his body and, after it devoured Fire Source, soared up above the qi and blood river to devour his pill flame. His body went boom, and a light shone inside his body. He then entered the dragon’s body mentally.
The two Sources inside the dragon’s body resonated with each other. Lightning Source sizzled and took on the shape of a bell. The crimson flame soared across the void and rained down lotus flames from above. The dragon slowly curled up. The qi and blood distorted the void. The dragon turned into a barrier that slowly ensnared the two Sources. The two Sources released a divine power as they attacked one another.
Yang Tian took command of Lightning Source to trap Fire Source within the bell. Fire Source struggled and fired back with divine flames that rocked the bell. Descending qi and blood transformed into crimson chains that restrained Fire Source. He then used Lightning Dragon Flame Control Technique to merge the energy of the Sources.
Yang Tian was unnerved because he could sense the immense energy spawning from the two Sources. He wondered if there was a paranormal phenomenon, but nothing changed on closer inspection.
Fire Source was overpowered enough to absorb Yang TIan’s Source’s pill flame. It did so to gain the strength to break free of the lightning bell’s confines. Sensing Fire Source rebel, he smiled. “If you’re inside me, behave yourself.”
Yang Tian’s qi and blood gathered to take on the shape of a torrent for the purpose of encasing both Sources. He expended qi and blood rapidly, yet required a long time to merge the two. He then brought out a human-head-sized premium-grade bloodstone and absorbed the pure qi and blood to replenish his expenditure.
Fusing Sources wasn’t supposed to be possible at Yang Tian’s realm.
Yang Xiao brought out a pill furnace. He could refine dozens of Human Level elixir pools with the blood and essence in his hands, thereby saving him the trouble of slaying Mutated Beasts.
Meanwhile, Yang Ba’s meditation sound outside grew louder. An auspicious glow sat overhead. His body was sturdier. The divinity attribute had merged with his Elephant Dragon thanks to its blood and essence. It was almost back to life. A blast of purple jade qi and blood struck the void when he opened his eyes.
Yang Ba howled and absorbed vital essence. His meditation sound was akin to a clear bell. His dragon elephant broke the formations and destroyed the landscape with its meditation sound. He gradually stopped. His dragon elephant escaped into the void, vanishing once it was three hundred and thirty-three metres away from him. The dragon elephant needed to work in unison with his body; else, it wasn’t what it could be.
Back inside Ancestral Dragon Ring, Yang Tian was able to maintain tip top condition through absorbing the contents of the premium-grade bloodstone. He needed to control the variables as any unforeseen paranormal changes would fatally damage his pill flame. As for the pill flame, it had changed into a purple and red flame. Wreathing around the flame were crackling lightning bolts.
It took five days for the pill flame to link to Yang Tian’s body, so he was thrilled once it was done. Actually, it was no longer a pill flame; it was an ace up his sleeve. That was not to mention the product of fusing two Sources. There were a lot of details he was ignorant of despite his best efforts to find out more. Source energy could absorb everything as it could destroy them all the same. Yang Tian hoped to find a powerful flame he could merge with the Source he had.
Yang Tian slowly opened his eyes and exhaled a breath of air. Eyes on the premium-grade bloodstone in his hand, he shook his head. Having absorbed over half of its energy over the course of five days, it began to crack.
Noticing Yang Tian return, Yang Xiao inquired, “How did you go? Did you succeed?”
Yang Tian nodded and summoned a purple and red pill flame capable of damaging a void. Yang Xiao found something was odd. He, therefore, inspected it carefully to find it produced a new energy. That being said, it was still in the creation process. Yang Tian needed to upgrade his pill flame to progress it further.
Yang Xiao asked, “Paranormal change?”
“Yes. A new energy is being created within.”
Yang Xiao was happy with the results. “See if you can unlock the hidden treasure in this scroll. Judging from the scroll and its owner, I surmise there’s something valuable in there.”
“It is time to open, hehehe.”
