Almighty – Ch. 307

Invulnerable

The man in white unexpectedly absorbed light from the sun and stars using a cultivation method based around absorbing energy from a void to nourish a fragmented soul. A mere fraction of his fragmented soul was overwhelming to the golden-winged dapeng.

Yang Tian ventured a guess it was related to the egg since the dapeng voluntarily spat out ten drops of Blood and Essence. Given that the man in white was omnipotent, Elder Gu strongly suspected he might be able to heal the injured descendant. After all, the dapeng was the best runner in the world. If it wanted to run, it could by all means try.

The dapeng expressed its hope with a cry. The dapeng had travelled all across the world, meeting deities along the way in hopes of finding a divine herb to heal the young dapeng to no avail.

The extraordinary man in white discharged energy. He weaved his hand through the air summoning a river of stars and condensed the stars, a feat that left the dapeng in awe.

Yang Xiao, in tears, was delighted to witness his old patriarch overcome the shackles heaven and earth placed on him to enjoy a prolonged lifespan. Howbeit, he was unaware how his ancestor fell back then. The real Yang Clan might’ve also been split off into a main family and branch family due to a disaster. It was a common practice many clans followed. Yang Xiao tried asking, but the old patriarch didn’t respond.

The man in white ran his hand over the egg, transferring the sun and star energy inside to heal the baby dapeng. The older dapeng’s aggression vanished, revealing gentleness instead. It could tell the infant on the verge of death was healing. Although the adult dapeng’s gaze was gentle, it also feared the man in white.

The energy transferred to the egg had the shell glowing similarly to a small sky of stars, and its divinity attribute improved. Its life force grew stronger, and its heartbeat could be heard distinctly. The technique went against the heaven’s laws and could very well incur their wrath.

The void suddenly quaked. As dark clouds gathered, thunder boomed across the domain. It was Wrath of Heaven. People took off running, while the man in white carried on.

The man in white said to himself, “Haha, you would change the rules of the world? You afraid?”

The egg continued to glow brighter and brighter, stronger and stronger until the heaven’s rules overpowered its sound.

The man in white continued while rhetorically asking, “I’m right here. What can the heavens and earth do to me?”

“That is only the tip of the iceberg of his powers. You have a long way to go,” said Yang Xiao, as he arrived next to Yang Tian with a smile. “The world is a vast place, and there are many things beyond your imagination. Even our former patriarch says the world is a larger place than we could fathom. He, himself, doesn’t know what lies beyond the inside and outside of the domain. He once showed me the outside world. We are mere frogs in a well. The stronger you are, the more you learn. His idea of true freedom is one who is unfettered. “

The lightning was enraged it couldn’t scratch the man in white. It tried to bring Pill Flame Domain down to destroy him, yet he just kept going about business as per usual. Any attacks directed toward him were neutralised thirty-three metres away from him. Compared to the heaven’s attack, he resembled a peerless deity much more.

Soon, the creature within the egg was healthy and strong enough to begin trying to break out of its shell. The man in white gently shook his hand; the egg vanished. The adult dapeng cried out, then spread its wings and took off at maximum velocity, leaving a group of astonished individuals behind.

The man in white took off leaving to somewhere leaving behind only one quote. “Cultivators of my era should strengthen themselves!”

The lightning dissipated – technically, some powerful force erased it. Wrath of Heaven’s energy left, returning Pill Flame domain to its original state.

The people present wondered if the man in white’s quote was a lesson to them. They gazed in the direction he left and saluted him. Humanity’s strongest cultivator was there for only a short while, but he left a big impact on them. The reason he didn’t connect with the Yang brothers was to avoid letting those present find out about their relationship.

Attention was redirected on to Yang Tian, owner of Invincible Will, once the paranormal phenomena ended. It wasn’t unusual for them to associate him to Fallen Devils’ Ground after witnessing his control of Chaos Light, especially those who had explored the area. He could control the formations and was bound to know something about the mysterious treasure map.

Although Dan Wenshan witnessed Dubhe Divine Sword, he found it hard to believe Yang Tian, disguised as Meng Tian, was the one who triggered the lightning trial far above his own level.

Qin Shi, who hung onto the memories of his defeat, felt confident after his ascension to Battle King. In a annoyed voice, he remarked, “So it was you that day.”

“Haha, I was forced to hide it,” replied Yang Tian, with a shrug.

Yang Tian swept his gaze around feeling tense for he detected lots of hostile divine senses locked onto him. Among them were former enemies. They all wanted to eliminate him. He was aware Li Clan’s adepts would rush over since his identity was out in the open. They didn’t dare to attack him because they remembered the mysterious girl who helped him twice – they assumed it was the same girl. Their biggest qualm was making an enemy out of Pill Valley. Not even the sacred grounds would dare to be reckless against a clan with two Autarch Realm adepts, a golden-winged dapeng and Fire Ancestor, who left already.

Dan Qu walked over and smiled. “Yang Tian, I’ll be returning to my clan in two days’ time.”

Yang Tian glanced over to Dan Wenshan. “He is your clansmen?”

Dan Chen nodded with a smile. “He’s my dad.”

Li Clan’s two elders glanced over to Dan Wenshan. They wouldn’t be able to take a single blow from him.

Dan Chen was eager for a fight with Yang Tian as always but in a much more respectful light. He admired Yang Tian’s courage to attack Longyang in the presence of humanity’s strongest cultivator.  “M-, I mean, Yang Tian.”

Yang Tian shrugged and smiled. “I can’t help it. I have too many enemies.”

“It would seem you have a lot of trouble waiting for you today. I’ll pay you a visit for a spar another day.”

Dan Xueyi nodded, and the Dan duo left.

Yang Tian had many things on his mind after his visit to Pill Flame Domain. He wanted to get out as soon as possible. He left with Xing Hao and company. In a sense, adepts were with them, albeit as stalkers, getting on Yang Tian’s nerves. Battle Emperors were no longer an issue as they were fodder to Yang Xiao’s new powers.

Dan Xiaoxiao blinked and mischievously dimpled. “Handsome Brother, you were amazing back there with Chaos Light. Handsome Brother, Grandpa said I have to fight you once I grow up.”

Dan Zong cleared his throat and picked up his pace due to awkwardness and embarrassment.

“Do you think you’ll make it out? Want to come with me?” Qing Yuan questioned. “Your adopted father is still living at the imperial capital.”

Yang Tian needed to spend some time in Primitive Forest. “I’ll be all right. Is my adopted father still well?”

Qing Yuan nodded, then shook his head. “He’s quite well. Somebody did try to kidnap him last time, though.”

Lin Yuan was in danger last time and was saved by Green Sun Empire’s adept who passed by.

“Who did it?!” Yang Tian was worried his recent actions would implicate Lin Yuan.

Qing Yuan cast his gaze back to the prowlers behind them and whispered, “Most probably those annoying Li Clan halfwits. When they were caught, they blew up on the spot. They used puppets.”

“Li Clan again! What an annoying bunch!”

I’ll collect some interest in a bit…

Xing Hao: “Be careful. Longyang isn’t going to let you go after you amputated his arm.”

Qing Yuan: “He’s right. Blood Illumination Devil Palace should be where the devil race gathers, and I bet there are several elites with them.”

Yang Tian responded using Voice Transmission. “I know. I’ll be cultivating in Primitive Forest. If anything happens, come find me.”

Qing Yuan: “Are you crazy? Rarely anyone enters Primitive Forest. It’s almost next door to Western Continent. There are demons hiding in there, and I bet the golden-winged dapeng is, too.”

“Don’t worry. I can look after myself, hahaha.”

Yuan Xia looked back at Yang Tian when she noticed his gentle gaze on her, not knowing what to. Wondering what was with Yuan Xia’s reaction, Yang Tian pinched his eyebrows together. That said, the look on her face gave him butterflies in his stomach.

Not forgetting about Elder Gu taking Yang Tian in as a disciple, Dan Zong asked from behind with a peculiar look, “Yang Tian, watch out for those on your tail. You want to stay at Pill Valley for a few days?”

Thankful, Yang Tian smiled. “I will not bother you. I shall pay a visit another day.”

“All right, as long as you’re confident. You’re the winner of Alchemy Convention. If you want to join Pill Valley, you can become a core disciple right away.”

This old geezer sure knows how to make the most of the eastern wind.

“I will be all right. I have many enemies, and I do not wish to cause Pill Valley trouble.”

Dan Zong sighed. If Yang Tian joined, Pill Valley would have three prodigies, thereby increasing the chances of their faction’s survival when a calamity hit. More importantly, that would likely keep Elder Gu at Pill Valley.

Yang Tian left with a bunch of thoughts weighing on his mind. He had a feeling Yang Xiao had the golden-winged dapeng’s egg.
