Almighty – Ch. 301

Devil God Palace

The wild dark whirlpool shielded its summoner and those below from crippling damage.

Longyang was at the edge of the devils’ lair, so Yang Tian was cognisant that any impulsive action on his part would prompt Longyang to jump in. Yang Tian was dead set on slaughtering Longyang, not letting the latter escape.

Longyang: “Hey, kiddo, you better pray I don’t catch you!”

Yang Ba: “You’re dead today. I assure you.”

A mammoth black palace, with Devil Palace carved onto its doors, slowly levitated out of the dark whirlpool.

Devil Palace was one of the devil race’s factions notorious for their brutality. They were an enigmatic entity, and their skills were profound.

Yang Xiao had a question: was the palace Human Palace or Earth Palace? Every devil overlord was an overpowering devil in his own right. Similarly, Heavenly Dao Alliance concluded the devils their clan sealed would soon emerge if a devil overlord truly returned.

Three individuals with bruised egos appeared above the palace, albeit hidden in within black lights. Quirks had been summoned, and the aura that seemed there, yet not, became a source of fear.

The elder in the centre of the group had eyes with Chaos Light. “Show yourself!”

Yang Xiao felt the brunt of the elder’s yell. The individual in white quickly manoeuvred to the front of Yang Xiao. He moved so quickly it appeared as if he teleported. The location he stomped left the void smashed. He nullified the Devil Voice once it was three centimetres away from hm.

The elder in the centre spoke in a deafening voice. “It’s been ages. You’re a mere fragmented soul. Even he wanted to seal you back then. What could you possibly do now?”

“And you’re scared of the fragmented soul,” jeered Yang Xiao.

“Shut up!” raged the three.

The three initiated the attack. A crack appeared above the man in white. An energy beam blasted through the void to get to him. The man in white summoned Mountains and Rivers Painting, blocking out the sky. He called forth ancient humanoid phantoms to fire back at the beam.

The elder on the right fired energy beams from his eyes. The man in white raised his hand a tad, summoning an ancient star domain down.

The elder in the centre summoned lightning around him. “Die!” he yelled, as he fired the lightning enhanced with devil qi.

The man in white shook his head as though he started to feel irritated. He punched a blast up to the area above Devil Palace. The three elders instantly yelled in unison to generate black smog around the palace, shielding it from the blast. Still, the blast destroyed the smog shield, leaving them to feel the impact’s shockwave.

The man in white flicked a giant hand into the void from a distant domain to bring a star domain down. He broke through the black smog and cracked the palace with a barrage of stars.

The three elders sat cross-legged inside.

One elder growled, “He’s just a fragmented soul! How does he still have this much power?!”

“That’s what makes him humanity’s strongest cultivator!” mumbled the elder in the centre. “Master was in the same realm back then. He was so powerful nobody dared to stop our devil race.”

“Are we supposed to just run now?!” exclaimed the elder to the right, reluctant to quit.

“We don’t have our real bodies, yet. We could fight him; however, that would cost too much Source energy.” The elder in the centre peered inside the palace. “Please intervene, Your Lordship.”

The two other elders juddered and peered inside. A black spectre with red eyes slowly approached. His Chaos Light kept him partially hidden. Voice diabolic enough to perk hairs up, he commanded, “Mm, he returned in the end. Look into who his descendant is or are.”

The three elders nodded in unison. The only one who could’ve summoned the man in white was his descendant’s Bloodline, which needed to be potent.

The black spectre walked forward at the pace of an old man. “The devil race shall live forever. We shall rule over the world and the celestial domains. Humans are fated to be our slaves…”

The three elders regarded each other with grins they tried to hold back.
