Almighty – Ch. 287

Ancient Cultivator

The area was abruptly plunged into darkness as the thick black mist swept through the area and put out the lava. The devil qi spread throughout the domain and summoned a quirk in the void. The earth quaked as the monsters screamed and dug their way out of their burrows. Tentacles out of the ground rampaged.

A palace in the distance released an overwhelming aura that dyed the sky fire red. An individual in flames exited the palace. He was wrapped in an imposing shadow that hid his appearance. “It’s been tens of thousands of decades. Is the continent also facing a calamity?”

The devils in the lair roared as the hideous creatures crawled out. A regurgitation-inducing and viscous liquid dripped off their body. Physically, they came in varying sizes. Some were dozens of metres tall. Others were the size of ants.

A devil roughly thirty-metres tall blew out a black mist that punctured holes in a mountain it made contact with. Judging from its appearance, along with the others, they were newborn devils. How many were in the chasm was anyone’s guess.

Yang Xiao: “The trio was up to something, after all. They created new species using the devil qi. The species don’t have any intelligence, though. They’re fearless killing machines.”

“I guess this is a catastrophe,” Yang Tian muttered under his breath.

“It’ll depend whether or not they can escape the seals below.” Yang Xiao exited Ancestral Dragon Ring to search the nearby formations.

A devil with green-glowing eyes roared as it charged toward the adepts. Elder Dan pierced its skull as fast as lightning before dissecting it using his spear, leaving a disgusting liquid behind. The other devils lost their minds and charged. More devils climbed out from the chasm and fearlessly joined the charge.

There were a lot of enemies already, yet a powerful one below that had yet to join the fray was awaking. They didn’t have what it took to hold it back. Fortunately, there were some adepts, including Alchemy Alliance, still around outside. He turned to a Battle Emperor adept and said, “Notify the people outside the devils have emerged and to come help if they wish to have their disciples back!”

“Yes, Patriarch.”

Yang Tian: “Let’s see how strong Yang Clan’s ancient foes are!”

Yang Tian sped over to a devil dozens of metres tall and ripped one of its tentacles off with one arm. Immediately after it cried, he ripped the rest of it to fragments before it could counterattack.

Qin Zuying turned Yang Tian’s attack into a morale booster, telling the others to jump in before launching himself at a devil. “Let’s go.”

Shangguan Hao manifested a phantasmal sun and moon using his eyes, amputating devils with a blast.

Elder Dan amplified his qi and blood to utilise his Bloodmark Great Cauldron’s ability. They took their battle to the sky.

Grand Elder was formidable enough to take on two at once. Their void was a thing of the past.

There was no end to the devils below. Pill Valley’s adepts could wipe out dozens with a single punch because they were so crowded.

Yang Tian charged through the enemy lines. His crimson aura radius expanded as he fought. Suddenly, a silver monster eyeing him ages ago swung toward his dome. Yang Tian summoned a qi and blood true dragon that blasted the monster’s arm apart. Next, he lunged up shoved his arm through its skull.

Boom! Out came a devil with a three metre humanoid devil coated in an antique bronze colour. Dagger-axe in hand and stars in his eyes, he was evidently an ancient cultivator. He was a force to be reckoned with. He set his frigid gaze on Yang Tian.

Yang Tian snickered. “Show me what you got!” Yang Tian churned up his potent qi and blood that the outside world’s devil qi couldn’t impact.

The ancient cultivator reached Yang Tian in a couple of steps. He wasted no time thrusting his dagger-axe toward Yang Tian’s head. Yang Tian strafed.
