Almighty – Ch. 278

Yang Xiao Returns

Yang Tian felt a surge of emotions when he sensed Yang Xiao’s clone’s surge of emotions. Noticing the dilemma his clone was in, Yang Tian was thrown into a pit of depression upon speculating he might’ve been planning to devour Yang Xiao. Some divine souls’ clones received memories; he might know about Ancestral Dragon Ring.

The clone developed his own will and didn’t want to fuse with Yang Xiao again after he obtained his main body. Moreover, Yang Xiao’s divine soul was too weak; he was confident he could take over and fill in where the divine soul was incomplete. At Pill Flame Domain, only Yang Xiao’s clone survived. Only treasures were left behind. Their pill flames developed intelligence, but the things the adepts left behind became Inheritances left behind in their pill flames. That being said, he only survived as Yang Tian hadn’t perished.

The middle-aged man’s eyes emitted flames, indicating a vicious nature. “What are you doing here in this state? I’m no longer part of you after so long. I no longer have any qualms with you here. I can only be perfect if you join my body! I could even reach Sage Manifestation Realm and leave this damn place!”

“Uncle Xiao created you, yet you want to devour your master?”

“Devour my master? Hahaha, indeed!” The middle-aged man’s laughter parted clouds, moved mountains, levitated rocks to the sky, broke the void and shook the firmament. He discharged his energy, creating a massive green flame domain.

“You done laughing?”

The man’s laugh gradually tapered off. His first reaction was surprise. His next was ecstasy. He laughed the landscape apart again. “Hahaha, I didn’t expect to be gifted with the master soul and this body. The heavens have done right by me!”

A strong body and soul was required to contain the immense divine soul energy. In fact, in the countless times Pill Flame Domain had opened, a body and soul capable of housing the middle-aged man had yet to appear. Trying to take by force would damage one’s divine soul as well as risk death.

The man shifted his gaze onto Xiaobai, consequently riveting. “Heaven Devourer Divine Beast? How? Impossible.” The man learnt Yang Clan no longer existed through his own secret investigations; however, he recalled the overpowering entity in the clan. He harboured a desire to escape. “Lord Heaven Devourer’s descendant? Impossible.” The man suppressed his panic and turned to Yang Tian., “Tell me your name! Now!”

“Yang Clan’s Yang Tian!”

“Isn’t Yang Cla exterminated? Impossible! Nightmare Dragons!”

Two small black dragons emerged after a blink. He trembled in fear and instinctively wanted to flee. The Nightmare Dragons beamed a black beam into him, leading to him groaning and grunting loudly. Vengeful and reluctant, his eyes turned red as he screamed, “I’m no longer part of Yang Clan. Why are you using Ancestral Seal?!”

Only Yang Clan’s patriarch could command the Nightmare Dragons’ attack. The man could definitely fight Nightmare Dragons, yet was rendered defenceless due to the restraints on him.

Yang Tian had no clue what Ancestral Seal was.

“Please do not damage his divine soul!” hastily shouted Yang Tian.

If Yang Xiao could make use of the powerful divine soul, he could take on supreme adepts.

The dragon glanced back at Yang Tian and reduced its aggression, swapping it for empathy. It then beamed a divine light into the man’s forehead, allowing him to stop groaning in pain, then teleported away.

The divine soul rushed to Yang Xiao’s body as though it lost any semblance of intelligence. Yang Xiao’s body reacted violently. Yang Tian sensed a familiar aura return as they fused – except at an increasing rate. Yang Xiao’s aura was almost indistinguishable. His divine soul was more solid.  He glowed and energy burst from his body, rupturing the void. The energy tornado damaged the landscape and firmament.

Shangguan Hao, who was closest to the Yang duo, spun around when the energy caught his attention. Rock chips flew over to him so fast they generated whistles loud enough to irritate his ears and shake the firmament. Seeing the rock enlarge as it approached, he immediately hopped out of the way. Alas, the rock was too fast, resulting in a barrage of rocks attacking him. He took a while to get his bloody hand outside the mountain of rocks burying him to get them off. All his clothes were torn, leaving him with just his underpants. “You better pray I don’t find out who you are!”
