Big Black Bear
Yang Tian emerged from Chaos, gnashing his teeth and back aching, after narrowly surviving the attack thanks to Chaos defending him. He found himself in a forest with lots of dangerous, venomous insects and ferocious beasts. The energy was more prominent than outside. He ran off when he was alerted because he wanted to avoid fighting hostile cultivators and conserve energy in case Third Palace Master caught up. Pale, he complained about his recent poor luck.
The situation within started to turn into a riot.
After travelling hundreds of kilometres, Yang Tian found a hidden forest that was quiet. He created a cave to hide in.
“Uncle Xiao, where are we?”
Yang Xiao had yet to explore a fraction of Great Desolation when he last visited. Plus, it had been a long time. Hence, he dodged the question and, instead, suggested, “Recover first. Let’s see if we can locate Yang Clan’s branch here.”
Yang Tian nodded and entered Ancestral Dragon Ring. He crushed a ten-thousand-year-old precious herb and borrowed vitality from the vitality divine tree, but the healing process was excruciatingly slow.
Nightmare dragon: “It’s a sword formation. Once the four swords are combined to form the complete formation, the wielder could slay deities. It’s an imitation, but it’s still lethal.”
“I see… But why is there the word ‘empyrean’ in there?”
“Why?” The nightmare dragon shook his head. It wasn’t knowledge he possessed. Perhaps it was no longer passed down. He answered, “I’ve only heard there was a domain for deities. Patriarch mentioned it before. It’s a huge secret. He said the domain appeared when Celestial Palace appeared.”
The nightmare dragon sighed and left. Yang Tian tried to make heads from tails but shook his head in the end – not that it had anything to do with him.
Yang Tian took a day and several rank six pills to heal. He would never forget Empyrean Slaying Sword Skill. He emerged back in the real world and headed out. He looked to a dark cave and said, “Come out.”
A fierce black bear hiding in the cave revealed its eyes and cried out violently. He shouted in a deep voice, “How dare you interrupt my sweet dream? You wish to die? I’ve been in a bad mood lately. Don’t get on my nerves, or I’ll eat you!”
The bear was a proud one, reminding Yang Tian of Dahu, so he couldn’t resist chuckling. The bear raged, “How dare you laugh at me?! Die!”
The bear charged and bit down on Yang Tian’s arm. Clang! The bear’s mouth started bleeding, and he lost two teeth. He rolled around as he cried.
Yang Tian shook his head and chuckled. “Your fault.”
The bear crawled to his feet. He stood proudly on his two feet and pitifully said, “I am so sorry for aggravating you, Sir. Please spare me for being ignorant.”
Yang Tian found the bear’s reaction absolutely hilarious.
“If you have a question, please just ask. I will answer anything if I know the answer,” said the bear, realising Yang Tian was kind.
“Where am I?”
The bear was a Fiend Emperor Realm cultivator.
“This is Cloudy Mountain Forest, Sir,” replied the bear, puzzled as to why Yang Tian didn’t know where he was.”
“Where is the closest human city?”
“Um… There is an ancient city called Shui Yuan City fifty thousand kilometres to the east from here.”
Yang Tian nodded and headed eastward. Meanwhile, the bear was glad Yang Tian didn’t make things hard for him. “Sir, please wait. Are you going to Shui Yuan City by any chance?’
“What is it?” Yang Tian happily asked.
“Would you happen to be able to bring me into the city?”
Yang Tian touched his chin. “Can’t you enter by yourself?”
The bear revealed a sad expression and explained, “My cultivation rank is poor. If Shui Clan finds out I am in the city, I will be trouble.”
The bear’s statement suggested the cultivators in Shui Yuan City had reached a realm above Fiend Emperor Realm, which would be surprising.
“All right, then. I happen to need a navigator, in any case.”
Yang Tian patted the bear’s head. The bear bent over obediently to offer Yang Tian a ride. The bear shouted, “I can finally leave this place, Haha. I’m coming for you, ladies!”
