Entering the Cave
With a hundred people assaulting Cao Clan’s cave, it was only a matter of time before they broke the formations, much to Cao Clan’s chagrin. Cao Jiang sent one clansman off to notify Great Elder. He wasn’t so concerned about the formations crumbling since they wouldn’t risk killing Yuan Xia, who was inside, along with them. Cao Clan’s forces in the cave went to meet the invading forces. Meanwhile, Cao Jiang went off to Yuan Xia. As soon as he reached the door, he commanded, “Open the large-scale formation!”
The elder hiding in the void was puzzled, but he opened a rift in the formation as he was told, revealing Yuan Xia, sitting inside with a smile. She switched her smile for a frown, confused as to how Cao Jiang had Yang Tian’s Bloodline. She suspected a transformation skill, but she couldn’t tell even after using her pentachrome light from her eyes. One thing she was certain of was he was Yang Tian, since his Bloodline contained some of her own.
Yang Tian sensed four energy sources linked together. The elders in the void joked around about Yuan Xia and Cao Jiang, oblivious it was Yang Tian. To dismantle the formation, he needed to eliminate one of them. It might’ve been one hole, but it was a perilous flaw.
As he approached, Yang Tian picked up Yuan Xia’s scent, infuriating his already infuriated self. He grabbed her arms and pulled the pitiful girl into his arms. He patted her on her back, causing her to shudder and ease up on her urge to reproach him. Voice muffled, he said, “I hope you’ve learnt you lesson to never run around mindlessly again…”
Tears welled up in Yuan Xia’s eyes as she smiled shyly. She broke out of Yang Tian’s embrace and grumbled, “Turn back to your real self already.”
“And how would we leave…?” Yang Tian shook his head.
“How did you get in?”
“Haha, there are people assaulting the cave from outside. I bet they have their hands full.”
Yang Xiao: “White Tiger King, you focus on attack. Capture the White Tiger Flag!”
Yang Tian nodded. “Come out.”
An elder appeared. “What is it, Young Master?”
Yang Tian pursed his lips. “Hundreds of people are attacking from outside. Lend me your ear.”
The elder leaned in despite feeling puzzled.
Boom! The cave shook. Cao Jiang looked vile. Divine Soul Energy escaped from the location of the boom. He wondered if somebody had managed to get past them.
Divine Dragon Soul Sealing Ornament fired at an elder’s forehead almost at point blank. Given the proximity of the blast, the elder couldn’t avoid or call his Divine Soul back in time. As a result, he was dismembered.
Cao Jiang retreated with an exasperated expression.
A Divine Soul emerged after a vibration. He tore the void and charged toward White Tiger Formation Flag. Boom! Scorching flames formed a passageway. A red bird and a blue dragon levitated. A black tortoise joined. The three combined their energy. Wisps of blue flame assembled to form a blue dragon.
The blue dragon sprayed a field of flames at the divine sea.
Cao Jiang: “The White Tiger Formation Flag is our clan’s treasure. Do not let anyone take it!”
“Worry not, Young Master. He is mere Divine Soul. He will not last long even if he is at Sage Manifestation Realm!”
Cao Feng came in hastily. “What happened? What is it, Big Brother?”
Cao Jiang scowled. “He dared to storm into Void Trap Formation!”
“What?!” Cao Feng was so enraged he summoned a colourful divine lantern.
Yang Tian summoned Heaven Restoration Divine Cauldron overhead. Everyone was stunned to see the two young masters wielded new items. Also, the pentachrome cauldron looked familiar.
