Uninvited Guest
“Oho, the girl you groped! Let’s go! Give me them warm cushions. We have to try her other one, too!” Xiaoshuai enthused, pinching his chest and grinning.
“You know she’s not as tolerant as Tian Ran, Lan Ling’er or Qiao Xue, yeah? You not afraid of losing your hand?”
“I haven’t had a soft pillow to rest my head on in a long time. You’re a stiff board.”
“Yet you sleep in my shirt!”
“Brother Mu Yu, aren’t you going to go see her? It’s not right to keep a maiden from Jade Sect waiting, is it?” Mu Hao inquired.
“Let her wait. I’m busy.” Mu Yu wasn’t going to be her lapdog she could attack and call on whenever she pleased.
Neither Mu Hao nor the slave expected to hear that response given Rou Anna was from one of the eight great sects.
“You’re not going to get anywhere with swordplay. Not everyone who’s taught Celestial Swords Nine Summons will be able to master it because you need solid comprehension skills,” Mu Yu opined.
“What should I learn, then? I want to learn something good.”
“Learn to cook from me,” suggested Xiaoshuai, dropping a recipe book called “Fiend Beast Nutritious and Delicious Meals Recipe Book” that he snagged from “One Character Plaque” Restaurant.
“See if you can learn formations,” recommended Mu Yu, tossing Mu Hao “Beginner Formation Foundations”.
The book was in spanking new condition since Mu Yu only kept it to feign ignorance in front of Song Qingyu.
“But formation cast-”
“What about them? They’re the strongest cultivators out there.”
“I know they’re strong, but they’re akin to archers with only one arrow. Their glaring weakness is easy to exploit…”
“That’s your typical formation caster. You think I don’t have enough formation foundations to supply you?”
“Do you really have that many Greater Heaven Stage formation foundations?” Mu Hao enthused.
Mu Yu buried Mu Hao under hundreds of Greater Heaven Stage formation foundations.
“I promise you’ll never have to worry about formation foundations for your entire lifetime. Now, start memorising the eight trigrams.”
Mu Yu dusted his clothing and left.
“Bullying me again. I’ll tell on you…” cursed Mu Hao, crawling out from amongst the formation foundations, only to drop his jaw at the sight of the mountain.
A servant led Rou Anna into the guest hall since he wasn’t Mu Yu. She didn’t put on any airs, staying humble and reserve. Mu Tianhe went to welcome her in Mu Yu’s place.
“Please wait for a moment. Mu Yu will not be long.”
“Elder Mu, you need not mind. I am not in a rush.”
Uncle Bo, who was anxiously waiting outside, ran over to Mu Yu as soon as he saw the latter. “You are finally here, Young Master…”
“Don’t worry about the eight great sects. I have your backs,” Mu Yu assured, stepping through the door nonchalantly.
Sensing Mu Yu’s cultivation, Rou Anna didn’t see any hope of taking the hand that she desired even though she had ascended to Body Severing Realm Fifth Layer. She maintained her polite dimple and greeted, “It has been a long time. I hope you have been well.”
Whoa, is she Rou Anna’s twin sister or something? Mu Yu jokingly thought, caught off guard by her courtesy. “What do you want?”
“Yeah, what do you want? Are you here to deliver warmth?” Xiaoshuai, standing on Mu Yu’s shoulder, drew two circles at his chest.
Sensing the tension, Mu Tianhe said, “I will leave you two to talk.”
Rou Anna told herself to stay cool and answered, “I am here to speak to you about Sikong Qiwen.”
“What? Sikong Qiwen touched your globes, too? Left or right hand?” Xiaoshuai questioned.
Mu Yu’s cheeks puffed.
Rou Anna lowered her chin and shifted her pupils north. “Mu Yu, don’t you dare mention that again!”
“What did I ever say?” Mu Yu restrained Rou Anna with a formation and questioned, “What is your deal? A spirit beast can even anger you now?”
“Let go!”
“If you keep trying to start physical altercations just because somebody offends you in any manner, I might just put you on display in public.”
Mu Yu removed the formation, but Rou Anna still glared. He sat down and stuffed Xiaoshuai back into his shirt. “All right, let’s hear what you have to say.”
Rou Anna calmed herself and replied, “I hear you’re going to fight Sikong Qiwen.”
“And?”
“Why are you fighting them when they’re Spirit Severing Realm cultivators?”
“You care about me now?”
“I’m just here to deliver a message on behalf of Sister Meng Xin. She asks you to attend a meeting at Star Hall in three days’ time to discuss the issue with Sikong Qiwen,” grouched Rou Anna.
“Your senior sister wants to get back at Mu Yu? He also touched you, though,” blurted Xiaoshuai.
Mu Yu put a hand over Xiaoshuai’s mouth and queried, “What about him?”
“Don’t you find it strange that he managed to rise so fast within a span of months? All eight of our sects have lost ultimate immortals to him. We suspect he is using some cheat tactic and want to find out how he is climbing so fast.”
“So… what you’re saying is, people are cheaters if they beat your sects? What are you, invincible?”
“The most bizarre thing is that none of them died. Instead, they lost their consciousness. I approached you because he stole the consciousness of one of your clan members, correct?”
Interest piqued, Mu Yu skipped the question to throw out one of his own. “Who will be there?”
“Besides Senior Sister Meng XIn and I, there will be Secular World Sect’s Senior Sister Miao Yu, Earth Sovereign Sect’s Xing Gao, Mystic Soul Sect’s Zhu Ke and Celestial Star Sect’s Tian Budai.”
“You just mentioned Tian Budai and I are going to be opponents.”
“You’re no match for him.”
“Really now?”
Rou Anna instinctively gulped and found silver beads collected on her forehead, not even knowing why.
