Supreme Swordsman of the Nine Heavens – Ch. 518

Like the Sun that Never Fails to Rise Again

“Patriarch Gu, the purpose of our visit today is to discuss the kids’ engagement,” Mu Tianhe stated as placed a hand on Mu Hao’s shoulder to send a hint.

Gu Hongyi’s gaze went from Mu Tianhe to Mu Hao to the young man behind Mu Tianhe. “Uncle Mu, we were only helping you manage your bank, and I promise we did not let you down. This is the account book and ownership contract. They are all yours.”

Mu Yu didn’t rely on his association with Sword Shadow Dust Gale to make a name for himself. He was already famous prior to Ultimate Immortals Ranking divulging the connection between the two.

“You need not be so polite. I am undeserving of your courtesy,” Mu Tianhe said.

“No, I must show you due respect. My father and you are old friends, after all. He always told me you are r-”

“Don’t you think it’s too late for you to mention our friendship? My grandson, Mu Yu, now calls the shots in the clan. You tell him what you have to say,” Mu Tianhe interjected.

On came the fake smile and out came, “Mu Yu, True God’s disciple, it is my honour and privilege to meet you. This one is Gu Hongyi, a friend to your father’s generation.”

“What does that generation have to do with me? We didn’t come here to catch up with you,” Mu Yu responded.

“As long as it is within this one’s power, he will see that it is done.”

Mu Yu took the ownership contract nonchalantly. “It’s definitely within your powers. I came to discuss Mu Hao’s engagement.”

Assuming Mu Yu wanted to go through with the marriage to protect Mu Clan’s image, Gu Hongyi blithered, “Engagement? Oh, of course. Qiaowei is blessed to have the privilege of marrying such an impressive young man.”

“Hao, do what you have to do,” Mu Yu instructed, casting a patronising glance Gu Hongyi’s way.

Mu Hao pulled out a divorce paper from his sheet and placed it in Gu Hongyi’s hand. “This is the paperwork to show I am cancelling my engagement with Gu Qiaowei, granting you your wish to no longer be affiliated with our clan. Henceforward, I have nothing to do with your disrespectful Gu Qiaowei. Her right to be part of Mu Clan is hereby revoked.”

Gu Hongyi had no idea how to react. Gu Qiaowei, who happened to overhear Mu Hao as she entered fumed through her teeth, “You’re cancelling on me?”

“You don’t deserve to carry our surname. I don’t like you.”

Since Mu Hao strutted off, Mu Tianhe joined him. Before following suit, Mu Yu asserted, “Patriarch Gu, I hope this serves as a reminder to think before you act in the future.”

Catching up outside, Mu Yu cockily asked, “How does that feel? Good?”

Mu Hao beamed. “Thank you, Brother Mu Yu.”

“Now, let’s hear some praise? Bring out all those praising adjectives. I’ll accept all of them.”

“Weren’t you the one who told me not to idolise others?”

“I’m your bro, not ‘others’. You can idolise me.”

“I quit already.”

“You can praise me just as you did when we first met. Suave, handsome, dutiful, strong sense of justice, the overlord of the universe…”

“I quit the fandom.”

“Let’s hear a sentence.”

“Oh.”

“Imma spank you.”

“Grandpa, he’s bullying me.” Mu Hao hid behind Mu Tianhe and pulled a funny face.

“Come do something about it if you’re a man.”

Mu Tianhe burst out laughing at his childish grandkids. He was glad to see Mu Hao brighten up thanks to Mu Yu.

“Let’s go to ‘One Character Plaque’ Restaurant. Xin loves dining there the most. We can’t let her down,” Mu Yu clobbered Mu Hao and suggested.

Within ten days, Mu Yu used his name and a variety of tactics to take back half of the businesses Mu Clan lost. In addition, he also publicly issued a challenge to Tian Budai. People thought Mu Yu was picking the fight due to his grudge with Tian Yun.

“Miss, this is Mu Estate. Please do not trespass,” a Mu Clan servant stopped a maiden in yellow and warned.

“I’m here for Mu Yu,” the maiden answered with a smile.

“Young Master Mu Yu is too busy for guests.”

Neither Mu Yu nor the servants were acting stuck up. Seeing guests would become Mu Yu’s primary job if he granted audiences to everyone who came knocking to get into Mu Clan’s good books.

Mu Yu cast a formation on Mu Clan, preventing people from peeping on what Mu Clan was doing.

“Tell him Jade Sect’s Rou Anna wishes to see him.”

“Jade Sect? Please give me a moment to inform Young Master Mu Yu.”

One of the servants hurried off to notify Mu Yu, who was enjoying the warm sunlight and melon seeds while watching over Mu Hao train with a sword.

“Grab your balls and stop being wishy-washy with your strikes.”

“You fight like a little girl,” Xiaoshuai teased, tossing a melon seed up and catching it in his mouth.

Embarrassed, Mu Hao yanked his arm back and thrust it forward, generating the vibrating sound from a swift thrust.

“Looks like a maiden practicing Flower Fist,” the dragon vine droned.

Mu Yu shook his head in disappointment. Mu Hao severely lacked in the insight department. Mu Yu went as far as using Gentle Wind Interlinked Hearts Formation to pass on his insight, yet Mu Hao still couldn’t grasp it. His two spirit beasts, on the other hand, understood the concepts perfectly.

A servant suddenly knocked and reported, “Young Master Mu Yu, Miss Rou Anna from Jade Sect seeks and audience.”

Mu Yu furrowed his eyebrows.
