Supreme Swordsman of the Nine Heavens – Ch. 512

Watching from the Sidelines

“Y-you are Mu Yu?” Mu Tianhe stuttered, brain still trying to accept the new information as well as overcome with joy and fear simultaneously. He pondered, He has been helping us at every corner, yet he only made me restart as a servant. Did he do that out of revenge?

Mu Tianhe was more flustered than Sikong Gaoming. Everyone from Mu Clan, except for Mu Tianhe, had their eyes on Mu Yu, awaiting confirmation for the most astonishing revelation.

“Brother Feng Mu?” Mu Xin looked over her shoulder and, expressing confusion with blinks, asked, “Did you say your name is Mu Yu? Do you share the same name as True God’s disciple?”

“Mm… I am True God’s disciple, and my name is Mu Yu. Feng Mu and Mr. Yan are just names I came up with.”

Mu Rongxuan wanted to know whether Mu Yu was related to Mu Clan or not, but the answer never came. Instead, Mu Yu was thinking about how to send Sikong Qiwen a message. Mu Yu raised a hand and, without making contact, broke Gou Zhengyang and Lyu Shexin’s arms violently. He activated formations on them, muffling their instinctive grunts.

“Y-you…”

“Crawl back and tell Sikong Qiwen I’m waiting for him right here. If he doesn’t show tomorrow, I’ll feed Sikong Gaoming to dogs.”

Mu Yu threw the two bodyguards out and mercifully whacked Sikong Gaoming’s consciousness out of his body. He kicked Sikong Gaoming over to a wall and stated, “As for that rag, someone lock him in the firewood room.”

“Are you really True God’s disciple, Mu Yu?” Mu Hao asked.

“What, he has imposters now?” Mu Yu snapped.

“Are you part of our clan?” Mu Tianhe inquired.

Mu Yu cast his gaze over to Mu Tianhe. “I am.”

Mu Tianhe shuddered.

“You really are our clan’s Mu Yu?!” Mu Hao blurted. “So, You’re Feng Mu, Mr. Yan and Mu Yu?!”

Mu Hao felt stupid when he realised Mu Yu must’ve been laughing to exhaustion whenever the latter recalled his ignorant comments.

“Is there a problem with that?”

“Of course there is! If you’re one of us, why did you watch people push us around?!”

“Hao!” Mu Tianhao shouted, eyes red as he knew better than anyone why Mu Yu watched from the sidelines.

Annoyed, Mu Yu stared domineeringly at Mu Hao. “Tch, why should I help you?”

“Because… Because…” – Mu Hao stammered due to the pressure that suddenly came on from Mu Yu – “Because you’re part of Mu Clan!”

“Am I now? Last time I checked, I’ve been an orphan for as long as I remember. Your parents spoiled you, while I don’t remember how my mother looks or know who my father is. Thank you for helping me all those years. I must’ve been too ignorant to realise. Remind me why I should help you again.”

Mu Yu swept his eyes over everyone in Mu Clan and habitually trained them on Mu Tianhe last. Mu Clan’s members looked to the ground one by one as Mu Yu made eye contact with them – minus Mu Xin. Mu Yu couldn’t resist firing off after Mu Hao’s questions as they poked his sore spot.

“You want to accuse me of watching from the sidelines? Let’s do some maths. I saved you in the desert, at the restaurant, saved this estate, paid off your debts while you hid in the cemetery, saved your father, at least, five times, suggested you move into the cemetery and wiped your behinds when Sikong Gaoming nearly exterminated all of you. I watched from the sidelines? My, I must’ve learnt chimpanzee-nese because that doesn’t fit the definition of ‘watching from the sidelines’ that I was taught.”

Mu Yu’s rage manifested as a violent gust that swirled leaves of the ground; not even he could pinpoint why he was seething, but he was.

Mu Yu thought, All I wanted to do was repay Mu Clan for giving birth to me. I’ve paid it all back. I don’t want anything to do with any of you; I even tried to avoid revealing myself, but I sacrificed it to protect you all, and you want to accuse me of watching from the sidelines? I don’t want to argue with a kid, but this ticks me off!
