Supreme Swordsman of the Nine Heavens – Ch. 503

Ancestral Estate’s New Owner

“I just couldn’t help myself. I can’t bear to let Mu Hao and Mu Xin because of the others’ incompetence. Mu Tianhe crossed me, but those two are innocent children. Do you think I did the right thing?” Mu Yu asked.

“Well, it’s a big estate, and the drumsticks are nice,” answered Xiaoshuai.

Mu Yu bitterly chuckled to himself.

Knock! Knock! Huai Beiya saw Mu Yu shrouded in a light that made his appearance fuzzy, thereby telling her he was a formation caster, upon entering. She wore on a polite, yet entrancing smile, and inquired, “Dear Formation Caster, may I ask what your name is?”

“My surname is Yan,” Mu Yu answered in a raspy voice.

“Mr. Yan, Mu Clan requests you pay in only spirit stones.”

“I don’t have enough spirit stones. Can I exchange items with you for spirit stones to pay them?”

“Of course. May I ask what you intend to exchange?”

“How much would these five rank six pills be worth?”

Mu Yu hardly touched his pill storage ever since leaving Pill Cauldron Sect for he perceived them to be performance enhancing drugs and preferred to not rely on “extracurricular” assistance.

“Rank six pills…?” Huai Beiya was befuddled why a formation caster would have such high-ranking pills on him. “May I appraise them?’

Mu Yu passed over the pills as if he was passing rocks. In contrast, Huai Beiya carefully took them as if she was given gold.

“Three rank six windrunner pills and two yang nine restoration pills. Please give me a moment.”

“I happened to help a level six alchemist from Pill Cauldron Sect, so he gifted them to me as an expression of appreciation. May I ask how many spirit stones they are worth?” Mu Yu made up to keep the ball rolling and to avoid suspicion.

“I see.” Huai Beiya stopped to think and then proposed, “One rank six windrunner pill will give you two million spirit stones. One two yang nine restoration pill will give you three million. How about a total of twelve million?”

Huai Beiya offered Mu Yu more than the market value for his pills. If he sold them to somebody else, he’d earn an even bigger sum, while they wouldn’t be able to get their hands on the pills.

“Perfect.”

“Please give me a moment to prepare the spirit stones for you.”

Huai Beiya judged Mu Yu to be a young man according to his voice. She didn’t want her presumption to lead to a mistake, though, so she hurried back and passed Mu Yu a blade jade piece. “This is our company’s spirit stone jade. The sum you can withdraw from us is carved inside. It represents you are a VIP customer, so you will be able to exchange it for spirit stones at any of our banks. There is two million inside the jade piece as of now. We will pay Mu Clan the other ten million.”

Knock! Knock! Huai Beiya went to answer the door, inviting Mu Tianhe, who was still in low spirits, in. Mu Tianhe didn’t think a formation caster would be the new owner of Mu Clan’s estate.

“Do I have to meet the seller?” Mu Yu questioned.

“Usually, it is not compulsory. In this case, however, the asset is a fixed one. Our auction company will be the witness of the property rights transfer. As such, both parties must be present to avoid undesirable disputes. If any party chooses to dispute the transfer down the road, we will ensure fair treatment,” Huai Beiya expounded.

Mu Tianhe had a feeling he had met Mr. Yan somewhere before, but the distortion was too much for him to make out who was inside the formation.

Huai Beiya passed out three contracts drafted up and a special formation cast on. All the involved parties needed to do was drip a droplet of blood onto each of the contracts as a signature. Once a golden formation activated, the contract was officially effective. Mu Yu went about it indifferently, but Mu Tianhe’s hand shook compulsively.

I wonder if this counts as me getting back at Mu Tianhe. The estate is useless to me as I’m always on the go. I can’t just give it back to them, either, or people who suspect foul play, Mu Yu analysed to himself. Though his emotions were running high, he wanted out and, therefore, announced, “I shall take my leave now.”

“Mr. Yan, would I be able to make a request?”

Mu Yu halted in his tracks. “Go ahead.”

Mu Tianhe forced an awkward smile and bowed. “Would you be able to permit us a few days’ time to move our stuff?”

Mu Clan didn’t have anywhere to go right away, so they did need time. Mu Yu couldn’t find it in him to be ruthless. He resumed walking and replied, “Do as you see fit.”

“Mr. Yan, could you provide us with a deadline? We will be sure to move out on time.”

Mu Tianhe didn’t quite understand the response. Mu Yu, nonetheless, just kept striding away.
