The Great Escape
The mountain-sized hand smashed through voids. The black energy was overwhelming. It shrouded the sky. Yang Tian had nowhere to run. He vaulted up toward the hand. The girl brought her hand down after a snort. Yang Tian powered up as he ascended into the sky. He used Battle Emperor Secret Technique to reach Autarch Realm. He summoned Heaven Restoration Divine Furnace overhead and let lose pentachrome beams. The hand and beams clashed. The beams dented the hand and penetrated it.
Yang Tian proceeded to amplify the cauldron’s output with a smile. The infuriated girl condensed her hand and increased her hand’s output, vanquishing the divine beams. She chuckled and reached for the cauldron.
Yang Tian summoned his golden bone and swung open a path after activating it. The girl’s palm strike landed against light barriers. The barrier solidified after shaking. The bone’s energy level dropped drastically after the manoeuvre.
The girl couldn’t penetrate it, for she had yet to have full control over her Source.
Mysterious girl: “Patriarch was right. I’ve come into contact with several divine bodies within such a short space of time.”
Yang Tian touched his nose and said to himself, This bone is only going to be able to stop a few Autarch Realm attacks.
Yang Tian slowly raised a hand and peered at the girl in black. His hand was white. He clenched his teeth. He wanted more power. He needed more power to kill the girl. He said to himself, Yun’er, I’m going to help you take your Source back!
Girl in black: “I hate that gaze of yours.”
The girl in black stirred energy all around and collected countless black energy fragments to fire at Yang Tian. Yang Tian deemed a forbidden technique necessary. He clenched his fists. As soon as he made his move, stars appeared in front of him. The mysterious girl summoned the wave of stars that washed away the black energy.
The girl in black looked at the girl in white with her eyes narrowed. “Show yourself!”
The mysterious girl wrapped a length of white cloth around Yang Tian’s waist and pulled him away. The girl in black was livid she was ignored. She brayed, “How dare you!”
The girl in black palmed the void down and created chasms. The girl in white outran her. The girl in black raced after them.
Yu Yao touched her chin to think who helped Yang Tian. When she saw Xiao Ran ogling her, she aggressively threatened, “What are you looking at? Keep looking and I’ll dig your eyes out!”
Xiao Ran couldn’t resist looking a little longer. Yu Yao manifested moonlight. Xiao Ran was no match for her.
The girl in black sensed countless traces of the mysterious girl, making it difficult to choose the right direction: “B****!”
The girl in white set Yang Tian down in a quiet valley. He wore a grin. “You may have saved me, but there’s no way I’m letting you see the cauldron.”
“Miser… You owe me a favour.”
Yang Tian nodded and performed a hold-fist salute. “If you need my assistance in the future, I will do my best for you.”
The girl nodded and vanished into thin air to Yang Tian’s utter amazement. The girl’s temperament was similar to Yuan Xia’s when Yang Tian first got to know the latter.
While Yang Tian had his lips curled, he heard, “Sun Continent is about to face a calamity. Ancient cultivator’s secret realms have popped up one after another. This place will soon be plunged into chaos.”
Yang Tian frowned before relaxing and muttering, “So be it. What does it have to do with me?”
Yang Tian didn’t care about anything besides rescuing his parents and taking back Yun’er’s Source.
The world of cultivation was a world of survival of the fittest.
Yang Tian pursed his lips. “Wait… ancient cultivator’s secret realms? Why are foreigners interested in those secret realms?”
Yang Tian met two foreigners thus far. Both of them were geniuses. Logically, there was no reason for them to be interested in his domain’s secret realms. He scratched his head and remarked, “I suppose Sun Continent hides some secrets, then, if Dao Divine Mountain exists.”
Yang Tian spent some time healing before heading to Alchemy City. There wasn’t much longer until the convention.
