The youth in white turned to Yang Tian when he sensed the gaze on him. The youth then shifted his gaze to Dan Xueyi and smiled. “Long-time no see, Dan Xueyi.”
Dan Xueyi looked back. “I never expected to see you two here.”
Dan Xiaoxiao smiled sweetly. “Wow, it’s Sister Xueyi…”
The duo walked over. Dan Xueyi asked, “Sister Xueyi, who is he? Is he one of your sect’s disciples?”
Dan Xueyi sounded a little more serious than usual. “Ask him yourself. I don’t know who he is, either.”
Yang Tian shrugged.
An elder in black, sporting a smile, appeared before he could speak.
Xiaoxiao smiled. “Grandpa Gu, why are you here?”
Elder Gu gave Yang Tian a smile. “Do you still remember this old one?”
Yang Tian performed a hold-fist salute and courteously replied, “Of course I would remember my promise to you, Elder.”
Not even Xiaoxiao often saw Elder Gu since he rarely met with outsiders. She scanned Yang Tian. “You know Grandpa Gu?”
“Haha, I’m going to catch up with him.” Elder Gu flicked his sleeve, teleporting away with Yang Tian.
The area was red. The vital essence was potent. Source energy was lively. Immersing oneself in the divine sea was soothing. Elder Gu explained, “This is the eighth floor. Cultivating here for one day as an Autarch is the equivalent of cultivating outside for a hundred days!”
Yang Tian: “Tsk, tsk, amazing.”
Elder Gu sighed. “You are very fortunate. Your rumours have me sweating cold bullets. Every successive generation surpasses its predecessor.”
Yang Tian accompanied a hold-fist salute with a smile. “You exaggerate, Elder. You are among the best cultivators in the world.”
Elder Gu solemnly sighed. “Yet I am stuck here.”
“What do you mean, Elder? There should be few who could restrain you with your cultivation.”
Elder Gu shook his head. Looking lonely, he explained, “This old one does not come from this ancient star. He came here by accident.”
“You are from another domain?!”
Elder Gu nodded and sighed. “Correct. To tell the truth, I don’t know which ancient star I came from. I’ve fruitlessly been trying to find my way back all these years.”
Yang Tian scratched his head. “I met someone else from another domain, too.”
Elder Gu nodded. “I am not surprise. Ancient Star Path has always existed.”
Yang Tian asked what he wanted to know most. “Are you not able to travel across domains with your cultivation?”
Elder Gu shook his head. “No… That is entirely different level. I can travel in and out of the domains; however, I will end up lost in the domain outside. History records say many adepts died trying to travel to stars far away. Some of the biggest powers have Star Map and built Ancient Star Paths.”
Yang Tian looked eager, so Elder Gu smiled. “What am I telling you for? It’ll impact your cultivation. It won’t be to your benefit if you learn about it too soon.”
Yang Tian grinned. “It is the first time I have heard of it. I apologise.”
“I don’t know my way back, but there should be a way. I have not been able to focus on cultivating all these years because of this.”
Yang Tian touched his nose. “If you need any help, please let me know.”
Ever since meeting Elder Gu, Yang Tian accrued a lot of benefits thanks to Elder Gu, so he would’ve fulfilled his promise if possible.
“My old home is an abandoned ancient star. Humans can’t cultivate their Divine Soul there.” Elder Gu paused before going on. “A mysterious energy enveloped me when I stepped onto Ancient Star Path and came to Sun Continent, which was Great Desolation!”
That was a shocking secret!
“You mean to say… the Ancient Star Path still exists?!”
Elder Gu could withstand the energy that brought him to Sun Continent? Amazing.
Elder Gu sighed. “Yes. Unfortunately, I can’t enter it. When I stepped into Great Desolation again, I discovered I had aged.”
“You mean I can help you activate the Ancient Star Path to return home?!”
“Correct. There are lots of mysterious places at my home star. That said, humans there are ordinary. As such, they can’t help me in case something happens. If something happens to them, this one would’ve offended them.”
Like the stone statue, one needed to be at a certain realm to activate the Ancient Star Path.
Elder Gu smiled. “With your skill, it shouldn’t be too hard. Your body is amazingly tough. I have been searching for a disciple with an advanced cultivated body to fulfil my long-time wish.”
Yang Tian scratched his head with a smile. “I promise to help.”
“Haha, I hope it works out.” Elder Gu smiled. “Cultivate here. You have almost ascended to Autarch Realm. I will leave you to it.”
Elder Gu left.
Yang Tian pondered why Elder Gu asked for his help. Eventually, he exhaled. “Let’s leave it for another day. I still have a year. I’ll ask Uncle Xiao for his input.”
