Urge to Cry
The four were at a dust-laden void approximately three-square kilometres. There was a jade platform at the deepest section. A white jade slip floated at the centre of the platform and released waves. The jade slip had an autonomous defence function. High-calibre skill was required to remove it.
Two red birds, both of whom were Almighty Realm equivalents, exchanged eye contact. They flapped their wings and shot red beams from their eyes. There was an old and seemingly ordinary black bird facing off against the two red birds. Something about the black bird perturbed the two red birds. Yang Tian was certain the black bird was fronting.
Dahu hollered at the four when they entered. Nose swollen, he cried, “I finally found you all…”
Xiaobai couldn’t resist kicking Dahu on the head after he opened his eyes. Dahu glared and hostilely shouted back. Xiaobai smiled and discharged his glow, scaring Dahu to the ground and stirring his divine blood.
The black bird behind Yang Tian stared at the two birds aggressively.
Dahu stated, “They’re the ones who want to steal our jade slips.”
Red bird: “Nonsense. You’re the one who started it.”
Dahu: “It has my white tiger race’s aura. Why would I be the one to start?”
It was a headache to listen to. Yang Tian spotted a unique type that assumed the form of a powerful elder. The elder noticed the similarity between the human genius he met at an auction company and Yang Tian. He asked, “May I ask if you were the youth at Devil Spirit City’s auction company?”
Yang Tian wondered how the elder knew.
The elder waved and, in a friendly tone, said, “Don’t be puzzled. I’m naturally sensitive to Qi. You can have the jade slip, since you need it. It’s not of much use to my race.”
Yang Tian was puzzled.
The red bird: Him?
Dahu immediately went to take the slip whilst laughing to himself.
“How about a deal? You went all out to win the bid for Dao Sect’s silver sheet, so you must have a use for it,” said the elder. Since Yang Tian didn’t reply, the elder laughed. “You must’ve drunk monkey juice. I’ll exchange it for the silver sheet!”
How amazing the elder could smell the wine.
Yang Tian shook his head and didn’t deny the wine part after a think. “I am interested in the silver sheet; however, I didn’t obtain anything useful.”
The elder: “Mm, I believe you need to collect all the pieces to make it work… Haha, if you give me ten drops of monkey wine, I’ll give you the sheet.”
Yang Tian smiled. “Not happening. I do have monkey wine. That said, I don’t even have enough for myself. For what reason would I exchange it for garbage?”
Smiling elder: “Haha, don’t be so hasty. I’ll add a piece of information to it. It has to do with the girl next to you, the one at the auction…”
How unbelievable the elder could sense Yun’er’s divine body.
Since Yang Tian reacted, the elder continued, “I saw a youth attack her. If you don’t accept the exchange, it’ll be too late.”
Yang Tian tossed over a jade vial. “Deal. There are ten drops in there. Make good on your word.”
After confirming with his Divine Soul energy, the elder threw over a silver sheet.
Yang Tian caught it. “Where is she?”
The elder absentmindedly responded as he stroked the vial. “I saw her flee to the East. You better hurry because it’s going to be hard to locate her in that spacious place, otherwise.”
Yang Tian gasped. He handed Chubby a jade talisman. “Can you find the other talisman?”
“All right,” responded Chubby, opening his third eye after. After searching through the world’s mysteries and countless illusions, he saw a black rhizome emitting Chaos Light, while a jade talisman was pinned below for a split second. “Impossible.”
Yang Tian: “Where?”
“A jade talisman pinned underneath a plant?” mumbled Chubby. He hastily responded, “Not far from here. Only two and a half kilometres to the East.”
Yang Tian’s heart figuratively shattered. Yun’er must’ve been afraid he’d find her, and then the youth caught her. Yang Tian clenched his fists, trembled and had an urge to cry.
