Sacrificial Altar
Everyone around and their divine souls felt the jolt from Yang Tian’s Sword Vibration technique.
Shangguan Clan jumped Wang Clan. Wang Clan’s middle-aged man’s hairs and clothes stood up as he raged after the youth died.
Yang Tian charged into the crowd, splintering Dao Weapons with Black devil.
A three-legged crow over three-hundred-metres tall beat an elder until he coughed blood and dented the void.
Yang Tian palmed, summoning a lightning domain that shattered the void and zapped an Almighty Realm adept.
All attacks on Yang Tian were neutralised.
“Let’s go!” commanded the middle-aged man.
The five Almighty Realm adepts left. Yang Tian couldn’t stop them, as stopping one wouldn’t amount to much even if he did. He then turned his attention to Meng Yunxi. “You all right?”
Meng Yunxi giggled. “Lucky you arrived in time.”
Shangguan Li approached Yang Tian affably. “Thank you, Yang Tian. I see the rumours about your physical might are true.”
Yang Tian performed a palm-fist salute at the same time he smiled. “You need not thank me, Elder. It was only right for me to assist when I am acquainted with Shangguan Hao.”
“You know each other?” Shangguan Li glanced over to Shangguan Hao, who winked back. “Hoho, in that case, I must warn you Wang Clan brought a big force here. They will be back.”
Yang Tian nodded and flashed over to the void’s crack. “Break the formation. I will bring up the rear.”
If creatures barged in, they wouldn’t be able to guard the herbs.
Shangguan Li commanded his allies, “Hurry.”
Gaze on the formation, Yang Tian remarked, “How many treasures will I find in Divine Garden? There are ten entrances. There should be about a thousand herbs inside.”
Meng Yunxi walked over to Yang Tian, then flicked her hair. “Y-you want to go in.”
Yang Tian nodded. “Yes, so?”
Meng Yunxi pointed to the runes in front. “Look. You have to pass through there. If you hypothetically make it in, you’ll bump into more creatures. They’re basically fish to water in there.”
Yang Tian gratefully smiled. “I know. I’ll be careful.”
Meng Yunxi sighed. “I don’t know where your confidence comes from, but good luck.”
Ten minutes later, Shangguan Li blasted the formation with a series of sword slashes, leveraging the crack to break it down. Excitement built up.
The elders split some of the flowers with Yang Tian out of gratitude. Shangguan Li kindly reminded Yang Tian, “Be careful in there. Usually, only humans who cultivate their body would dare to enter. I can’t tell you want can happen inside.”
Success isn’t a coincidence.
Yang Tian nodded and, in a calm voice, replied, “I will be all right, Elder. Please look after my friends.”
“Haha, leave them to me.”
Yang Tian turned his attention back to the runes.
Meng Yunxi clenched her fists as she watched him enter and prayed for his safe return.
Once Yang Tian vanished out of sight, Shangguan Clan’s elders departed.
Yang Tian entered a dimension that lifted his spirits. He was happy to see a stone statue for an altar at the centre as it wore a dao robe. In other words, it matched the stone statue in Mountain and Rivers Painting exactly. The pressure test was nothing for him, as he had gone through it, at least, thousands of times. Divine Beasts wouldn’t ever make the cut. He walked straight through the pressure until an individual behind him sent a chill down his spine.
