Almighty – Ch. 385

Vacant Sky City

The expansive and populated city known as Vacant Sky City, the city under Li Clan’s jurisdiction, was the largest ancient city in the particular domain and home to many adepts. Resplendent edifices were only a glance away. Divine markings covered the sky above, forbidding flying.

The three sacred grounds were invited to the city. Thus, it wasn’t surprising other icons were invited. Rumours had it that lesser-known entities from Central State were also present to see Yang Tian.

Everyone on Eastern Continent acted as though their backbones were reinforced after the man in white man sealed the devil race at Pill Flame Domain.

Li Qingxue’s Inheritance and Half-Step Battle Emperor Realm status were the talk of the city.

Chubby’s hair was messy as always, but his concealed aura and discharged aura were more fascinating. Not to mention his prominent vitality.

Xiaoji, who was busy nodding and blinking, chuckled. “I’m sure he’ll challenge her. I heard they had a wedding agreement in the past. Li Clan apparently cancelled it and want to kill him since Yang Clan fell from grace.”

Chubby, grinning and cackling with his head down, opined, “Physical-strength-wise, the people here are piss weak. Yang Tian should be able to match a Half-Step Battle Realm with his strength.”

“I don’t know about that. Since they’re announcing the challenge to the world, I’m sure they’ll spare no efforts in helping her ascend to Battle King Realm. That’ll make it a tough fight for him.”

Desolate Domain’s duo adapted to the practices of this place after leaving Primitive Forest. They basically toured various major cities. Their wealth hinted at the possibility of them being descendants of a holy clan, but nobody recognised their backgrounds. Their partially concealed aura indicated they were on the verge of a cultivation break through

“Hey, you hear Heavenly Dao Alliance is betting three rank seven pills Yang Tian will die?!” rambled a drunkard at an old, yet packed, tavern over three square kilometres large that sold various wines brewed using refined herbs. The drunkard’s comment wasn’t surprising. “Hehe, did you hear… Green Sun Empire, Shangguan Hao and Su Clan’s princess are betting Yang Tian will win?!”

The listeners didn’t know how to react to Su Clan’s princess being involved.

Yang Tian wasn’t surprised Qing Yuan and Shangguan Bao betted on him. As for Su Clan, he couldn’t remember crossing paths with them.

Don’t go crying on me after…

Some were certain Yang Tian had it in the bag since he was the man in white’s descendant. That would jeopardise his family and friends besides himself.

Yang Xiao: “Go grab the two of them. The chubby one’s divination skills should be able to assist you with locating Li Clan; outsiders wouldn’t know where they’re located.”

Yang Tian nodded and glanced over to the two aforementioned individuals. “Uncle Xiao, can you sense my adopted father’s aura?”

“Not at the moment. I can’t blatantly use my divine soul energy with so many adepts present in the city,” quietly answered Yang Xiao, lips pursed.

“I guess that means I will have to force it out of them.”

News of an Autarch Realm adept kidnapping Green Sun Empire’s citizens spread throughout the rest of the city fast. It didn’t take long for people to realise Li Clan blew their duel with Yang Tian up to epic proportions when they connected the dots. Li Clan was confident they would win with a hostage on hand despite being panned. Li Clan’s desperation for a bargaining chip was tantamount to suggesting they genuinely feared him.

Yang Tian rose to his feet and followed Desolate Domain’s duo when they left. The duo’s eyes lit up when they heard what Yang Tian whispered to them. They followed Yang Tian out of the city. On the way out, Yang Tian wondered if Chubby could use his divination to locate Lin Yuan. As far as the almost-extinct technique went, he only ever heard of Destiny Sect utilising it.

“You reckon you can kill the lass?” asked Chubby, grinning. “I’m planning to bet, so I want to win.”

“Leave it up to destiny. Don’t blame me if I lose,” replied Yang Tian.

“Need our help…?” queried Xiaoji, making a wild guess, since Yang Tian asked to speak.

Yang Tian halted in his tracks and set his sights on the mountain range in front. “Li Clan is within the few kilometres up ahead. Can you help me pinpoint them?”

“What for?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

“I’ll give it a crack,” offered Chubby. “If their concealment formation is too advanced, it’ll be hard to find them.”
