The devil dragon was still alive despite having been separated in two. In fact, it looked as vengeful as ever. It jolted right as Yang Tian was about to deal the finishing blow and fired energy from its forehead.
Yuan Xia screamed, “It has a clone inside its forehead! It might be the three of them!”
Owing to Yuan Xia’s warning, Yang Tian recalled his nightmare dragon was still trying to heal Mountains and Rivers Cauldron, and he didn’t know how to wake it. Before he could think any further, a roar disturbed him as the phantom devil emerged.
The devil dragon’s phantom vexingly cursed when it saw the young devil dragons’ severed body. It was too late to save the young one.
Xiaobai launched his bell at the devil dragon. The dragon knocked the bell back with a scream. Upon seeing Xiaobai, it stuttered, “Y-you’re the Heaven Devouring Divine Beast!”
Yuan Xia finally learnt Xiaobai was the Divine Beast from outside the domain that could rival Chaos. Xiaobai’s race fed off Chaos. Ancestral Dragon race still existed, however. Western Continent’s demon lord was apparently one of them. In short, they were classified as the three great divine beasts for they headed the rankings.
The furious devil dragon possessed memories of Heaven Devouring race in its Inheritance, most of which was the latter devouring them.
The dragon attempted to sideswipe Xiaobai’s head. Alas, Mountains and Rivers Brocade slipped in sideways and intercepted the blow. The dragon tried to drive its attack through Mountains and Rivers Brocade. The pressure opened Yuan Xia’s recent wound again, causing her to bleed from her mouth.
Yang Tian summoned Chaos Physique from his forehead. Chaos Physique lunged across the void and cleaved a divine light enhanced with Chaos Light from Dubhe Divine Sword toward the dragon’s skull. As a divine soul, the dragon was naturally fearful of the destructive energy. Nevertheless, it overcame its fear to fire a black blast back at the divine light. The dragon’s black beam won the deadlock for Yang Tian was too weak to use Chaos Light at its full potential.
Yang Tian expanded Star Pagoda to shield Chaos Physique within its nine layer star domain barrier.
Yuan Xia recognised the Nine Heavens Stardust. As she lamented running into him everywhere as of late, the red tinge on her skin brightened.
The black beam blew apart the nine layer barrier. The dragon didn’t have the privilege of revelling in his short-lived victory for too long before feeling a chill run down his spine, because a bloodthirsty blood-red painting flashed out in front of him.
Twelve qi and blood figures resembling devil deities descended and formed a killing formation together. They were the product of Twelve Universe Killing Formation Scroll. While it was initially reserved for Yang Ba to study, he remembered the transformations it could perform, so he lent it to Yang Tian.
The twelve figures bellowed in unison, producing twelve sky-high energy columns to confine the dragon. The twelve then transformed into blood figures and drilled their way into the dragon’s body. The dragon enveloped itself in a black glow that acted as a barrier. If the twelve figures’ blood thirst tainted its divine soul, it would struggle to recover from the grievous damage since they were pure entities.
Yuan Xia trained her gaze in the direction of an evil entity.
