Taking on Longyang
A number of Pill Valley’s adepts had fallen. Meanwhile, more and more sinister and physically resilient cultivators from below joined the enemy. They pushed Pill Valley’s forces back with their formidable weapons.
Yang Tian slew three cultivators. He was a moment away from having his chest impaled before. Luckily for him, he reacted quickly and only suffered a bloody wound to his arm.
The corrupted void radiated as if it was ablaze. The mountains seemingly turned into volcanoes. The formation quaked. The flames rioted. Pill Valley had a severe lack of alchemy talent, evident from their underwhelming performance in the tussle.
Yuan Xia was impressed with the control over the formation and activation of fire sprits.
Seeing the flames spread and overwhelm the devil qi and monsters, Yang Tian was delighted as he knew Yang Xiao succeeded.
Once the devils cried and screamed, one of Pill Valley’s teams withdrew from the battlefield. The fire invaded the chasm and set fire to the devils within. The fire dimension was the perfect counter against devils as fire was one of their banes. The fire began to seize control of the underground zone.
The three culprits weren’t fans of the results. They almost bought enough time for the ancient cultivators to recover their cultivation, but it all went up in flames.
Elder Dan and Grand Elder could both sense the presence around, but he was just too elusive for them.
There was no shortage of cultivators making the leap of faith out of the fire domain. Yang Tian and company had already left the zone, though, for the cultivators were far above what they could handle. Yang Xiao attempted to seal the devil burrow to no avail, reason being the cultivators within prohibiting from using his divine soul at maximum output.
The three culprits mustered up all they had to try escape Elder Dan and Grand Elder – plus kill whoever was snooping around.
Elder Dan sealed the void using his Bloodmark Great Cauldron and blasted Longyang with red beams at the same time. Longyang deployed Blood Illumination Devil Mirror’s ability, unleashing raging black mist at the furnace.
A colossal green dragon emerged behind Longyang. Its green Celestial Flames gave Elder Dan a fright. Earth Lord and Human Lord were also shocked.
The dragon trained its eyes on Longyang and, in an ice-cold voice, questioned, “You are Longyang?!”
Elder Dan was shocked again when the dragon spoke. Although it was a pointless skill, it was a lost technique, thereby coming as quite a surprise.
Longyang responded, “That’s the name!”
“Perfect. I’ll be taking your life now.”
Green flames collected at the dragon’s mouth.
The agony of losing the glorious clan was a pain worse than death, yet Longyang laughed hysterically as he powered up. “Big words for somebody who doesn’t even dare to face me man to man!”
“I don’t need to personally end you.”
Though Longyang snickered, he stole a quick gander at Pill Valley’s Autarch Realm adepts for he knew he’d be in trouble if the two attacked him together.
The dragon gave Elder Dan a smile the way humans smiled. “You must be Dan Yingzong’s grandchild.”
Elder Dan stuttered, “H-how do you know?” Elder Dan was eager to know who the knowledge individual in hiding was. He wasn’t convinced the individual had lived for tens of thousands of decades.
“Hahaha, I never imagined Bloodmark Cauldron and Bloodmark Sword would have upgraded to Celestial Weapons. Join me in slaying these vermin!”
The two weapons were very helpful in the past.
Longyang thundered as he discharged his black mist. Devil qi burst out of the chasm and penetrated his body, amplifying his strength significantly.
