Subjugating Lightning
Yang Tian knew no fear. Glowing Dao Chains descended in an attempt to restrain him. To counter, he produced three clones and howled at the sky together, rocking the entire universe and throwing the sun and moon out of orbit. Together, their Dao Recital Voice technique howled pierced a hole in the divine field, then launched a punch to pulverise the firmament! The three mountain-sized blasts created a huge rift dozens of kilometres and wiping islands nearby off the map.
The phantom materialised a colossal hand and attacked in a horizontal sweeping motion, creating tides before clashing with the three beams.
Legend had it that, when Dao Sect’s founder returned, he opened Nine Great Sacred Mountains, restoring Spiritual Qi to the planet. Daoists did not believe when Daoist Yuanzhen, a bald daoist told them that their dao ancestors were from an ancient planet because they did not believe in the existence of other ancient planets besides Heaven and Earth World. That was a glorious and notable mention for Dao Sect. They ruled the planet and slew evil. When pressed for verification, Daoist Yuanzhen said he only heard it from his Shifu, so he could not comment on the legend’s authenticity.
Yang Tian was covered in wounds. He survived thanks to various Rules he learnt. The nightmare dragon informed him that subduing the lightning and learning the dao within it would pave his way to apotheosis. The issue was Yang Tian needed his full power. Sure, he could forcibly access his full power, but it would delay his journey home for he needed a lengthy period to recover afterwards.
Yang Tian took in a deep breath. Levitating Heaven Restoration Divine Cauldron again and shielded himself with Merit, he equipped another clone with Black Devil. The clone slashed a plethora of Sword Aura, blade resonating in the air with each slash. The third clone wielded a large, split seal capable of unleashing a red Rule!
Yang Tian positioned himself above the lightning humanoid and tried to incarcerate it using his cauldron. As long as Merit was not extinguished, the humanoid would remain trapped within. Everyone watched on with gaping jaws.
Ling Yan decided to verbally attack the antique seal Yang Tian used, judging the book by its cover. As a result, others derided him for lacking the ability to even wield it and his ignorance. Sulking they ganged up on him, he decided to shut his trap.
Yang Tian coughed blood as a consequence of using so much power despite having restrained the humanoid to a certain degree. Staunch, he clenched his fists and took in a deep breath. He melted several pills to heal his wounds and restore his qi and blood to optimal levels.
Once the white-haired elder came back, Lin Xu went and inquired, “Did you bring it, Senior Brother?”
“I have. I just wonder if it leaked its Qi. What’s going on now?”
Lin Xu: “I’m not sure. I think Senior is trying to subdue the lightning humanoid.”
When Yang Tian coughed blood again, the elder grabbed a jade gourd and hurled it to him. “Senior, that is Yin Yang Dragon Tiger Pill. It can heal your wounds.”
A Japanese pirate raced toward the gourd. “Keke, thanks…”
Daoists: “What?! Drats! It’s a Japanese pirate!”
Yang Tian sent his clone with Black Devil after the pirate. The clone reached out and pulled the pirate over.
The pirate exclaimed, “Impossible! Shouldn’t you be undertaking the tribulation?!”
Yang Tian killed the pirate with a palm strike. Upon looking up, he snorted. A rift opened in the sky. Over three hundred powerful cultivators descended.
