Supreme Swordsman of the Nine Heavens – Ch. 546

Desert Eagle Archfiend Incident

Fiend qi started to manifest in the desert while Sikong Qiwen transferred spiritual energy from his hand to Desert Eagle Brilliance, making it shine brighter and brighter. The pagoda started to tremble and shrink until it was only half a metre tall, enough for Sikong Qiwen to hold on his hand.

Voice raspy, Sikong Qiwen remarked, “Desert Eagle Brilliance, Your Majesty!”

Sikong Qiwen spun the seven floors one by one. After seven spins, the centre of the pagoda sunk, and an antique door with a big and vengeful flying eager carved on surfaced. Mu Yu saw the same carving on the doors of Desert Eagle Imperial City.

Sand grains behind the city walls assembled to form a towering cylinder structure. More and more sand gathered to fill in the details of the structure, completing the structure kilometres up there within fifteen minutes.

Each floor of the structure was ten metres high, consisting of protruding square blocks the size of an average adult set out orderly on each floor. The small windows on each floor offered what seemed to be bedrooms.

Sikong Qiwen strolled to the entrance of the city and set the pagoda into the slot for it, unlocking the door to reveal a dark path. He swivelled around and commanded, “As citizens of Desert Eagle Archfiend Hai Dongqing, it’s time for you to come home.”

The sand statues robotically, yet quickly, marched toward the city entrance comparably to an army. Some of the sand statues were able to fly toward the dark passage inside the city doors.

Wood Spirit Sword scrubbed off some of the sand coating it using a branch. Then, it spawned green leaves but hastily pulled them back in and circled inside the small gap.

“Is this where the desert eagle fiend king is sealed or something? Man, I would’ve forgotten all about Desert Eagle Brilliance if it wasn’t for him. I wonder if his rapid growth has anything to do with the fiend king. It’s a bit late to be speculating about this, but I have a hunch he chose not to fight me at Mu Clan and insisted on fighting me here because my identity would sell tickets like he was giving out spirit stones. Let’s stay in stealth mode and see what this is all about. I can’t beat Sikong Qiwen at the moment, anyway. Wood Spirit Sword, let’s tail him,” Mu Yu whispered.

It’s strangely cold here when it’s supposed to be the desert, Mu Yu inwardly noted.

The short passageway led to the cylinder building. From the outside, there were protruding rectangle boxes and windows. From the inside, they were concave rectangle blocks. The sand statues entered the concave slots as if they knew prior where they belonged.

Mu Yu sneaked out of Wood Spirit Sword once the interior of the building was still and vaulted up to hide behind a sand statue.

Sikong Qiwen soon came strolling in and levitated to feast his eyes on his so-called artwork, still grinning from ear to ear. He stretched out his arms and whistled, summoning an altar from below, shaking the building in the process.

Someone drew golden formation lines on the altar, and they were still active despite the time that had gone by since. Mu Yu judged it would be risky to try to control the formation even though he had Primordial Yin Yang at his disposal. The man sitting on the altar was none other than Hai Dongqing, Desert Eagle Archfiend. The glowing formations trapping him were obviously his seal that had weakened.

Since there were no fiends in the vicinity, it meant that not even the fiend race was aware he was sealed here. Plus, nobody would’ve been able to trace his whereabouts after Mu Yu took off with Desert Eagle Brilliance.

Sikong Qiwen descended onto the altar and went down on his knees. “Your Majesty, your subject is at your service.”

Hold up. Sikong Qiwen is a fiend? How did he get around Ultimate Immortals Ranking’s system? Mu Yu contemplated.

Not receiving any response, Sikong Qiwen raised his head. Both he and Mu Yu were surprised. Mu Yu didn’t sense any life from the fiend king.

“Impossible! His Majesty can’t have passed away!” Sikong Qiwen shouted, terrified.

Sikong Qiwen tried to physically check on the fiend king, only for the formation to knock him away.

I actually agree with him; the fiend kings are immortal even if they’re sealed. Ghost Gate couldn’t have assassinated him since there’s no way they could infiltrate the barrier. The seal is the same as the white fiend king’s, but his seal is still some months, maybe years, away from coming undone. Now I’m just confused. How did Sikong Qiwen even find him? How did he ensnare two hundred cultivators and turn them into sand statues. I’m not convinced he’s capable of that.

“Your Lordship. Your Lordship! Where are you? His Majesty needs help!” Sikong Qiwen sprang to his feet and yelled.

“Okay, now who the heck is this ‘Your Lordship’ fellow, the mastermind?” Mu Yu muttered under his breath.
