Supreme Swordsman of the Nine Heavens – Ch. 541

Sword VS Spear

“I thought he’s a Spirit Severing Realm cultivator. What was that Body-Synthesis-Realm-tier slash?” reacted an audience member.

Mu Yu didn’t feel good, though. His dominant offensive hit the guard as the pill and formation combo took its toll on his vitality. As such, it reinforced the painful reality that Ku Mu only had a few hours of life left after using the same combo back then after donating part of his vitality to Mu Yu using Heaven-Shrouding Bloody Guardian.

Tian Budai tried to tag Mu Yu as soon as he broke free. Mu Yu drew Shadow Splitter Sword from a void to block the straight thrust and swung another explosion-pill-imbued Shadow Splitter Sword. Tian Budai moved off the line and backed off, but the explosion sent both of them back.

Mu Yu was fading quickly, and his life was in jeopardy if the balance of the five elements in his body broke. He stole a gander Xiaoshuai and the dragon vine’s way to see Sikong Qiwen getting the upper hand on the dragon vine. Mu Yu was cognisant of the fact that they wouldn’t last long since his spiritual energy limited Gentle Wind Interlinked Heart’s duration even though they were the one’s using it.

“Big Earthworm, put your back into it and demolish him!”

Xiaoshuai had been zapped, yet he continued to swing his sword at Sikong Qiwen.

“Rodent, put your back into your Heavenly Lightning Strike!”

The dragon vine backed off and fired its dragon breath as sword qi.

“That’s ‘Xiaoshuai’s Heavenly Lightning Strike’ for you.”

“You look tired. Is that all Eternally Youthful Ku Mu’s formation amounts to?” Tian Budai taunted, knowing he was safe from Ku Mu’s combo as long as he quickly got out of range.

Tian Budai actually had a spiritual energy boost that the eight great sects lent him to combat Sikong Qiwen. Unfortunately, he needed it to keep up with Mu Yu, unexpectedly.

“You will help me fulfil Dad’s unfulfilled wish, right?” Mu Yu drew Shadow Splitter Sword from a void and caressed it. Shadow Splitter Sword jolted in response.

“You don’t actually think I’m going to just stand here as your target practice, do you?”

Tian Budai hid behind his Celestial Shield Formation again and began to power up; his bloodlust had the air trembling in fear. He sent his spear into a void to execute “Celestial Star Omnidirectional Spear and Shield”.

Tian Budai’s shields overlapped one another to form a solid defence. He cut the distance, gusting up a gale of sand, and extended a spear from the phantasmal shield in his hand, creating a solid attack and defence simultaneously!

Mu Yu couldn’t dodge even if he wanted to at that speed. He, instead, bathed his Shadow Splitter Sword in black spiritual energy and white spiritual energy. He combined his three remaining explosion-pill-enhanced Shadow Splitter into one, generating an erupting vortex that sprayed sword qi. The black and white formations flashing in his eyes replayed the techniques from Celestial Swords Nine Summons. The sword techniques stopped in synchrony when the sword was aimed in a certain direction. As the formations enveloped the swords, a blast of sword qi emanated!

Mu Yu initiated a straight thrust. The moment it should’ve been blocked, Mu Yu switched, creating a dilemma where the defender couldn’t decide which direction to turn. During the course of execution, Mu Yu’s spiritual energy was zapped from him to supply Shadow Splitter Sword.

Celestial Swords Nine Summons – Regenesis! Mu Yu executed his own version of a perfect attack and defence simultaneously.

The audience prepared to cover their ears the moment Tian Budai’s spear collided with Mu Yu’s sword. Nevertheless, the two moved faster than the audience could react, yet the loud clang never came. The two stood where their techniques ended, neither backing off.

“Who won?”

Boom! A crater formed after the breathtaking pause, evaporating even sand.

“Does this mean Tian Budai won?”

Mu Yu looked as though he had one foot in his coffin owing to using up half of his vitality, while Tian Budai’s undaunted aura remained at its peak.

Crack…

The crack was quiet, yet unnerving. The spear and shield touted as the sturdiest spear and shied in the world crumbled to the ground.
