Supreme Swordsman of the Nine Heavens – Ch. 483

Primordial Yin Yang Elects a Master

Mu Yu still hadn’t figured anything out when Chang Tiancheng had absorbed eight characters already. Given his speed, it would’ve been a safe bet to say Chang Tiancheng recognised the text – though his knowledge of talismans deserved credit, as well. Chang Tiancheng’s experience and knowledge in the field of talismans far exceed Mu Yu’s; Chang Tiancheng wasn’t a patriarch by luck, after all.

While studying Poison Sutra in the past, Mu Yu often flipped through Profound Formations and asked Ku Mu about the contents of the latter. When Ku Mu was in a good mood, he’d enlighten Mu Yu. As such, Mu Yu knew a tad about ancient texts. The bad news was that the text was different to what he was seeing. The good news was that they felt similar.

According to Ku Mu, ancient text didn’t have any detailed meanings, but they were connected. He advised interpreting them using one’s own preferred method. “Text only has meaning when one gives meaning to it,” was what Ku Mu said. Mu Yu thought it was a stupid quote back in the day. What would that make him, the godfather of literature?

If each character is a human, there should be text representing fiend beasts, fiends and elemental demons. If I consider each character to be a poplar tree, there must also be pine trees, willow trees and so forth. Each character is a type. To make sense of the text, I need to identify every type within. The question is, which character should I label which type? As the characters are linked, I just need to figure out what connects them. Chen Tiandao mentioned that one must figure it out for oneself if they are to find the path best suited to them; only what you figure out is truly yours, Mu Yu silently analysed.

Chang Tiancheng already solved seventy-nine characters and wasn’t showing any signs of stopping!

Time seemed to fly, yet crawl.

Chang Tiancheng finally felt stuck on the last two characters.

I feel there’s order to this chaos, but I can’t figure out what the system is, Mu Yu bemoaned to himself.

Chang Tiancheng’s wrinkles smoothed out upon figuring out the eightieth character! He was on cloud nine. Nevertheless, Mu Yu was unfettered.

Oh, I get it now, Mu Yu remarked to himself.

Chang Tiancheng jumped to his feet. “Hahaha, Primordial Yin Yang is finally mine!”

The light of the text around Chang Tiancheng went out, while Mu Yu’s eighty-one characters till glowed luminously. Black and white qi started to swirl.

“This power… I have acquired yin yang qi for spiritual energy. This is power… This deeper comprehension of all my knowledge… I have all knowledge pertaining to Formation Sect now, hahaha, I… I’m finally Formation and Talisman Sect’s patriarch! It’s time to purge you vermin and usher in a new era, Talisman Sect’s era, my era!”

Authority of Formation Palace and all of its perks, such as a view of all the bloodshed taking place at Formation Sect, was passed on to Chang Tiancheng.

“I’m now Formation and Talisman Sect’s true patriarch. I demand you to surrender!”

Everyone fighting was unable to utilise formation or talisman skills upon Chang Tiancheng’s domineering voice drumming their ears. All eyes turned to Formation Palace, where the voice originated from. There, they saw Chang Tiancheng, covered in black and white energy that surpassed their imagination, airborne.

“Patriarch conquered Formation Palace! Long live Patriarch!”

“Henceforth, Talisman Sect rules all!” With a wave of his arm, Chang Tiancheng summoned vertical pillars of light from Formation Palace. The energy from the pillars provided talisman masters with a boost of energy and removed the restriction on their talisman skills. They didn’t dally for a second in testing out their power on the defenceless formation casters.

Formation Sect’s formation casters haplessly stained their home with their blood and corpses.

“Feng Mu failed…?” Zhuge Xiaosheng muttered in a quavering voice. “Ugh!”

Two talisman masters Zhuge Xiaosheng had confronted pulverised him into a boulder, literally.

“Zhuge Xiaosheng, submit to me, and I shall spare you,” demanded Chang Tiancheng, laughing heartily.

Talisman Sect’s members sunk Formation Sect even into the marsh of despair with their feverish cheers.
