Mom-con – Ch. 50

Chapter 50

After Elder Liu arrived and took both Dong Chen and Hou Jian away, Risless still felt a substantial amount of anger in her heart. She wanted to destroy the vassal sect that would dare betray her. If they no longer wished to be a vassal, there would be no issue, and the fact Qin Zheng came from that Sect as a recommendation only furthered her anger.

Vassal Disciples joining the Blossoming Flowers with hidden intentions? Outrageous. I’ll kill them all, especially since they tried to take my son away from me!

Risless flew at a high speed and first caught up with the other five who were fleeing there. She caught those women and flayed them into trees. The horrifying screams they had shook the forest they had hidden in, but Risless only kept her stern face as she subjected those vassal disciples to that punishment.

“You all only have yourselves to thank for this,” Risless said.

“Please, just kill us…”

“No. All that’s left for you is some sugar placed in your wounds. Soon the demonic fire ants will come and bite and devour you over three days. Your spiritual energy will be sapped and your lives will end slowly and painfully.”

“Nooo…. Please…” they screamed.

Risless paid no mind to them. From what she understood, the key for the room was lost. Dong Chen now had no choice but to be with her. While she was happy that he was so willing and made no issue of it and it made her heart skip a beat, the fact they would have been in a precarious position without the key to that room made them a threat.

In the world of cultivation: ‘Once a threat, always a threat.’

A few minutes later with her speed she was at the gates of the Glowing Embers and there was an aura there. The Glowing Embers Sect Master was an old man named Zhun who understood that his disciples were found out. Seeing this, he came out to talk.

“Sect Master Risless, I beg your forgiveness,” Sect Master Zhun said. “I was under pressure by my elders to take your weakness, I do not mind giving my life but please spare my Sect. Those under me did not have the idea of taking your son.”

“You know the rules of cultivation,” Risless said. “Once a threat, always a threat. If I spare any of your Sect, there may be roots within who will seek revenge in the future. I do not have time for mercy here.”

Still I spared Hou Jian… because my son likes her…

“I see, is there no reparation we can pay you?”

“You threatened the safety of my son,” Risless said. “You threatened the one thing in this world that is taboo.”

“If I hadn’t taken your son, would you even be able to keep him safe with what happens to you on full moon nights?”

The words by Sect Master Zhun were clearly meant to provoke. Risless stood there with the anger rising within her and turning into a torrent of rage. The surrounding air quivered as the Qi condensed all around her and burned a bright orange.

“You dare try to investigate our secrets?”

“What sect doesn’t?” Sect Master Zhun said. “Come on, attack us.”

Risless in rage rushed forward and Sect Master Zhun activated a trap that had multiple beams of light flying out the sect walls and out of the ground holding Risless in place. The Qi from Risless whirled and raged under, but was ultimately held in place.

“You won’t be able to get out of that without severely crippling yourself, also the poison we are famous for will be pressed into you,” Sect Master Zhun said. “It’s interesting to think that a Fate loved by the heavens has so many dark secrets to it, yet this poison’s interaction to someone with a powerful Fate is something we have never tested before.”

“You… you… Arg!”

“Don’t delay this, kill her quickly,” Sect Master Zhun said. “Elders, gather the weapons and prepare to take her life.”

The Sect Elders wasted no time in gathering their weapons together. Giving the enemy too much time to live and giving long-winded speeches about why they should die or how their death is justified did not work in a world of cultivation where every moment can determine one’s place.

Lightening emanated from the walls and struck Risless causing her to shriek in pain. The addition of the poison caused a burning sensation to go about her body. Most cultivators with such traps stacked upon them would falter and give up. She might fight them all, but she might not survive.

Risless however thought about her son.

If I survive… he is willing… there is a future… if I die, his life will also end at the hands of others…

I will kill them all!

“I will kill you all!” Risless screamed

A large surge of energy and anger ran through her body, the her spiritual key started overflowing. Sect Master Zhun saw it happening.

“You know you will burst your meridians and you will eventually cripple yourself if you do this, right?” Sec Master Zhun yelled, trying to startle her.

“What happens to me after does not matter! Even if I die my son will live on, but if you know his identity and you live, you will all come after him again with a grudge. For that I must kill all of you!”

The lightening chain broke, which shocked the elders who had gathered their weapons to fight.

“This is impossible!” Random Elder One said.

“I can’t believe this!” Random Elder Two screamed.

“No, her power is too much!” Random Elder three exclaimed.

Growing tired of each Elder wanting to say their piece, Risless unleashed a large Qi explosion. The force was so intense it disintegrated everything around. The stones were ground to dust, and then the dust scattered to the winds. The flesh of each cultivator became a blood mist with the foul smell of their large intestines permeating into the atmosphere.

Sect Master Zhun, the last survivor, felt the life escaping him.

“I miscalculated…” the voice faded into nothingness as his body was also no more while his spirit completely crushed.

The Glowing Embers no longer existed on the continent.

Risless felt weak. She went back home to the Blossoming Flowers. It did not take long as she could always teleport back to her room. Once again she was in her office and blood spurted out of her mouth.

She dropped to the floor as Elder Liu came by, sensing her presence.

“Sect Master!” Elder Liu moved instantly from several hundred feet away to prevent her from falling. “Sect Master, you… you’re weak.”

“I’m finished,” Risless said. “The poison won’t let me live normally, and the amount of power I unleashed will permanently harm my future cultivation. I can no longer be the Sect Leader. With my death Dong Chen, my most beloved son will be free from the curse…”

“No.. You will not die!” Elder Liu was angry.

She carried Risless quickly to the underground chamber. “You will not die while I am still alive!”

The little girl she raised into the Sect Master. Elder Liu would not give up and brought her directly to the underground chamber. There she immediately bent on her knees with Risless in her arms. Risless shrank in size to only a few centimeters where she would fit into a glass box as a beautiful doll.

“Ancestors and Progenitor, please! Save her!” Elder Liu pleaded.

HouXiang formed her apparition.

“Yes! Help me!”

The other five previous Sect Leaders brought out their spirits and channeled a beam of light to Risless, putting her into a tiny case like them. When Elder Liu saw this, she instantly recognized that this was hibernation.

“We already put Hou Jiang, the girl Dong Chen fancies into the same hibernation,” HouXiang said. “The only one who can save her is Dong Chen when he gets his universal dual cultivation body. Risless is now the same, he will only have one chance to dual cultivate with her and his feelings must be strong for her otherwise it is best to keep her in hibernation until he is ready.”

“Feelings must be strong?” Elder Liu was a bit perplexed.

“This is Fate,” HouXiang explained. “If Dong Chen truly loves his mother, he will save her one day. If he truly loves Hou Jian he will need to as well, though it surprises me he fancies an elf.”

“It does not surprise me,” Sana interjected. “Elves are the most beautiful of the mortals after all.”

“Shut your mouth!” Xisleth said. “You obviously do not know about the charm of a human woman.”

“Human? Us demons have been stealing men from your race since the dawn of time!” Gora couldn’t resist taunting. “It’s amazing you can talk about charm when they can’t even keep your men in line!”

“Enough!” HouXiang yelled. “I hear you always argue with each other about how one race is better than the other. We are in this Sect because we want a place for females to cultivate without the harassment from men. That is what the Sect was founded on because all of us who were born with the Fate of Extreme Beauty would always be harassed. Did you all not forget? We are sisters! Regardless of what race we are when joining!”

“Sorry, Senior,” Xisleth said.

“I apologize, Matriarch,” Gora said.

“I bow my head to you Progenitor, your vision is beyond even my own.” Sana smirked while looking at the other two.

“Besides… there is no race more beautiful and powerful than the dragons.” HouXiang smiled after she spoke.

Elder Liu could only make an ugly face at that. Here she was worried about Risless, and the ancestors were arguing over trivialities and making fun of each other.
