Come at Me Together
“I don’t need help to kill you,” hostilely voiced Tian Budai.
Tian Yuehen promised his son to not interfere with his match against Mu Yu as the latter requested the opportunity to prove his worth against True God’s disciple. How that promise turned out was now disgraceful reality Tian Budai couldn’t deny.
“I don’t need help to kill you,” repeated Mu Yu, imitating Tian Budai’s voice. “Yet, you sought the assistance of the eight great sects to help you against Sikong Qiwen. You’re a walking punch line.”
Seeing Tian Budai’s anger creep onto his face, Mu Yu grinned. “What happened? You disappointed Qing Ming failed to kill me? Where’s that smile of yours gone?”
“Killing Qing Ming doesn’t mean anything. The odds are always fifty-fifty in any fight. In your case, your odds of winning are zero. I shall step over your corpse to show the world that I am the true genius.”
If I had to describe Mu Yu, I’d say he’s akin to a dormant volcano, mused Sikong Qiwen. “Tian Budai, you can go keep a bench warm. I’ll be the one who kills True God’s disciple. He’s my stepping stone.”
“Well, isn’t this quite the dilemma? There’s no way I’m letting you at him first,” replied Tian Budi, finally smirking again.
“What dilemma? Just walk both of your behinds here, and I’ll happily kick them for you,” Mu Yu asserted.
An audience member remarked, “Oi, oi, is he serious?”
Mu Yu’s allies were worried for him to the point that an urge to stop him manifested in their minds.
“That’s big talk,” scoffed Tian Budai.
“Who cares what type of talk it is? When somebody says that to you, you fight him, yet you’re still standing there trying to role play or something,” Mu Yu responded.
“Your death wish shall be granted!”
Mu Yu activated a green eight trigrams diagram underneath him, positioning himself southwest and slammed spiritual energy from his hand into the diagram. Shadow Splitter Swords rose from the formation.
“Gentle Wind Falling Dragon’s Roar!” The dragon vine fused with the aligned swords in the sky.
“Xiaoshuai, Dragon Vine, be careful,” warned Mu Yu, focusing on Tian Budai.
“I know, I know. Hurry up with Tian Budai. Big Earthworm and I will handle Sikong Qiwen.”
Xiaoshuai jumped into the eight trigrams diagram and struck his signature akimbo pose, starting up Xiaoshuai’s Heavenly Lightning Strike.
Mu Yu summoned Shadow Splitter Sword to his hand and aimed it at Tian Budai.
Someone commented, “What the heck? I thought only disciples of Earth Sovereign Sect could command spirit beasts!”
Xiaoshuai guarded Gentle Wind Interlinked Hearts formation.
“Gentle Wind Dragon Vine Roar!” The dragon vine’s sword qi created a gully in the sand and blasted a sword down on Sikong Qiwen.
“Xiaoshuai’s Lightning Strike!” Xiaoshuai also swung his blue-lightning sword across at Sikong Qiwen.
As Sikong Qiwen moulded sword qi, he created small tornadoes of sand and boom! Like an explosion, the trio’s clash forced the audience nearby to run back hundreds of metres to avoid taking damage from the shockwave.
“Is that the same dragon vine Mu Yu rode at Floating Celestial Island? How did it gain Spirit Severing Realm power?”
Only Lu Deyi and Situ Yangtian were able to watch Mu Yu’s duel with Tian Budai on the lush plain in the distance for they were the only ones who could cast enhanced-sight formations.
Mu Yu already had Tian Budai in his formation to give himself the upper hand.
“Let’s settle the grudge for killing my dad, Ku Mu, today!” Mu Yu activated a formation in his eyes.
