Mysterious Fragment
Ancestral Dragon Ring’s interior was covered in a veil of ochre mist. Up above, it was purple. The pentachromic herb field’s herb essence was even more prominent thanks to the two dragon bead herbs having reached a thousand years of age. The results couldn’t possibly be replicated outside the ring. Sadly, they were signs that the small divine herb’s clock was ticking away.
Yang Xiao exclaimed, “That’s a divine herb! The divine herb has aged. It’s going to vanish… It’s old.”
Xiaobai jumped up onto Yang Xiao’s shoulder and quietly hooted to ask him to extend the herb’s life. Xiaobai wept on his shoulder. Yang Xiao caressed Xiaobai’s head. He cut his speech short when he noticed the golden fur on Xiaobai’s head that formed a pattern of sorts.
“You’ve awoken, little fella. I guess we’ll be busy soon. Uncle Xiao, can we save her?”
“Let me have a think. Let me have a think…”
Divine herbs’ essence could save lives; they were safe as long as one didn’t draw an excessive amount of essence from them. Having lived for so long, they also possessed a wealth of knowledge of profound things in the universe. There was no comparison between divine herbs and vitality spring water. If they could save it, it would serve at Yang Tian’s side. For those reasons, he didn’t want to let it wither. He fumbled through his chest and pulled precious items out.
Yang Tian recounted Elder Gu’s story and showed Yang Xiao the extraordinary pill formula.
Confused, Yang Xiao conveyed, “This is a primordial aura. I assume this came from Desolate Domain’s sacred clan. I’m amazed they’re still alive, and their ancestor’s treasures have been kept. “Uncle Xiao, I have two pieces of the image with the same aura,” informed Yang Tian, handing over two hand-sized fragments from his interspatial ring.
One of the fragments was obtained from Fierce Beast Mountain, and the other was obtained from Pill Mystic Sect. One had a character “Omni” and the other had the character “Drum”. It was practically impossible to figure out what they hinted at. Nevertheless, judging from the painting of the mountain, it should’ve pointed at the same thing with different characters.
Yang Xiao was so shocked his hands shook. Yan Tian, baffled, questioned, “Uncle Xiao, what treasure is this?”
“… Where did you get these two fragments from?”
Yang Tian recounted the story.
Vengeful and a variety of other emotions occupying him, Yang Xiao thought, Does this mean the devils are going to return now?!
“Uncle Xiao, what is their story?’
“These fragments are linked to our clan’s treasure. Do not ever tell anybody about them. You must grab these fragments at all costs if you ever get them!”
“Uh, oh…”
Yang Xiao looked around for a place to hide the fragments in comical fashion.
Yang Xiao held a hidden dragon pill, looked at the divine herb and contemplated. He had no choice but to go for a last ditch effort and pray the spring water would be able to save her. He gently flipped his hand over to summon a human-head-sized premium-grade bloodstone. He sat down on the ground and paused for a brief moment. Next, he beamed a hole into the bloodstone using his eyes. The potent qi and blood whisked high up into the air.
“Haha, this robust stone has derived a divine nature.”
Yang Tian presented Black Devil. “Hehe, try this, Uncle Xiao.”
“Eh? You found the missing part?!”
“Yes. I won it at the auction a few days ago.”
