Stepmom-con – Ch. 108

Chapter 108

Roy:”Ashes isn’t as pretty as you or the othes. I don’t want to do it with Ashes.”

Eliza:”Roy don’t make this so hard for me! I want my time with you before it all ends for us. Please.”

Roy:”Then what’s our plan when the demons make their way over to us? Won’t I suffer a lot then as well?”

Eliza:”I have poison so we can pass painlessly if they come to this island, but we don’t need to take it until we know for sure so we can spend as much time with each other as possible. We might be able to have a child and can experience at least a little bit of that before.”

This was her game plan because she had lost hope in surviving. I wonder how my other moms must be doing with the pending invasion. The demons according to records were a race that had endless swarms, and many different variations of them starting with the lowest ones being imps.

They were similar to the goblins and orcs in that they swarmed but the method of their reproduction was unknown as it didn’t seem as they had male or female. Their purpose for invading as well was something that was not well known.

They captured humans and shipped them back to through the portal, but at the same time they didn’t fully annihilate the humans in the past when they could.

I don’t want to delay this anymore.

Roy:”Mom, do you remember the silent soldiers who were walking around the continent and slaying the goblins?”

Mom looked at me for a moment wondering where I would be going with this.

Eliza:”Roy, if you’re hoping to find the summoner behind them and have them fight against the demons it is futile. They disappeared nine months ago and there have been no trace. Some of the speculators believe that they are from another world or a different continent and were just conducting experiments here. Also, the demons will number in the millions while their numbers were only a few thousand at most.”

Mom sighed in between.

Eliza:”My empire has fifteen million soldiers and we are still going to be vastly outnumbered when the demons come. The only thing that stops us from despairing completely is that they have to all pass through a portal so they all can’t come at once.”

Roy:”Mom, I’m the summoner.”

I tried to tell her plainly then waited for her reaction.

Eliza:”Roy, don’t try to fool mommy. There is no way you can be the summoner. You don’t even have any mana.”

Roy:”It doesn’t take mana.”

Eliza:”Roy, don’t try to fool mommy. Mommy has lived a very long time. It takes more than just words like that to fool mommy.”

I summoned in some soldiers. It was quite literally the fastest way to convince her and it was better than going through a whole cycle of words. I’m sure if my thoughts are being written it would increase word count but I don’t really want to drag this on. I need the get to the end game quicker.

Eliza:”Roy, who? How?”

Roy:”They’re under my complete control and I can even change my form.”

I changed into the level 7 soldier in front of her. I didn’t test it out before but my body disappeared when I took the form.

Eliza:”Roy, what are you doing? You transformed?”

Roy:”It’s kind of a transformation.”

I had transformed into the level seven swordsman. I looked out the window and jumped down.

Eliza:”Roy what are you doing!?

The body fell through the air and I landed on my feet without injury. This was great. I then un-summoned and appeared back on the bed. Mom was looking out the window.

Roy:”Mom, I’m here.”

Mom turned around surprised.

Eliza:”Roy what was that? You left out the window and now you’re back here? How did?”

Roy:”When I summon a Level 7 soldier which is the strongest of the kind I can summon, my body disappears but will reappear back where it was before once I retrieve that body. As for the other soldiers I can take direct control of them but I can’t speak or use them as a substitute body.”

Actually, I recently learned that whenever I strengthen level seven, it really is one seventh of the points that are distributed evenly among all 25 of them to get stronger. The other six portions are distributed among the rest of the others, and the more members the less each individual gets.

It’s a weird system but it ensures the entire army gets stronger at the same time but with the ones at the top increasing the gap over time.

Eliza:”You’re the summoner?”

Roy:”The soldiers get stronger the more they kill, I’m telling you this mom because I don’t want you to worry about the invasion and I’m going to get my revenge.”

Eliza:”Your revenge?”

Roy:”They tortured me! I even have an uneasy feeling sometimes when I think about it at night, that someone can take me again. I also want to kill them because they killed Justin and his children. I can’t let them get away with it!”

Eliza stared at me contemplating and calculating in her mind. Despite that stare I could see nothing but support coming from her eyes. At the moment to me, she was the most beautiful woman in the world.  Women who want to support their men are the most beautiful, always.

Eliza:”Is there anything I can do to help? I’d like to kill all those bastards as well!”

I could only smile. I went into the system and gave mom the position that Justin lost. Since Justin died the slot he took up was now open and there was one left after giving it to mom. I had been planning on reserving the final slot for Erisu if she had married me but I decided that giving one to mom now that Justin was gone was the best idea.

Mom moved with her mind into the same space that I was in as we both lay on the bed together.

Eliza:”Roy! What is this place? This isn’t the physical world!”

Roy:”This is where Justin and I would transfer our minds when we spent those long afternoons sleeping in bed at Mom Dhalia’s mansion. We would take these soldiers, take control of some and go fight the goblins and other monsters or clear dungeons to get resources to give to villages that were having a difficult time.”

Mom looked at me with a smile.

Eliza:”You think of others before yourself. You’re just like my mother, and our father.”

I felt strange when we were talking like that. Our mother, my current grandmother was my first mother but… I’m tired of explaining it in my head! Forget it!

Roy:”I was just trying not to get caught because what I gained out of it was a stronger and stronger army. The more my army kills the stronger they get.”

Eliza:”This is true?”

Roy:”Yes.”

They system then gave mom a status as one of the players and I gave her admin status so she could take control of one of the level twenty five soldiers. I gave her the swordsman since mom was a swordswoman. She can control it and use it to attack the demons on that front while summoning soldiers to her while I went for revenge.

Roy:”Mom, we should test it out first. I’ve been killing orcs on another continent far away across the ocean. You can take control of the swordsman and I’ll control the sword and shield.”

Eliza:”Roy, how many different level sevens do you have?”

Roy:”Twenty five of them, but the sword is reserved for you for now. If you die controlling him you’ll just return to the room in your body and he’ll revive in seven days.”

Eliza:”You have twenty five and you’re only letting mommy control one? Didn’t Xeneva teach you to share growing up?”

Roy:”If I run out of them I won’t be able to use them either… fine I’ll let you use two. You can use the Swordsman and the fire mage, but if the swordsman dies make sure the mage stays behind the other soldiers, remember you can also control any soldier you want but they won’t be as strong as the level seven.”

Mom smiled.

Roy:”Now let’s go and test it out against orcs.”

Eliza:”Alright Roy!”

We teleported into a group of soldiers, an Omni-mage line had teleported near an orc camp. Since I had so many Omni-mages with the teleportation ability there was no more travel time and killing every goblin wasn’t difficult. It was time to kill orcs who were a much stronger race.

I went out there with my armor, I was about the same height as I was before as a level seven soldier. The level sevens seemed to take the shape of the user as I saw how mom was still taller and her armor gave her a female shape with a chest plate that accentuated her woman-hood.

Eliza:”Orcs? Orcs don’t exist on our continent anymore. Where is this continent?”

Roy:”It’s a faraway continent. This world has a few dozen large continents and many smaller ones. Are you ready mom?”

Mom took out the sword and started swinging it around. She moved it back and forth and hit a rock, the sword cleaved into the rock but did not split it in two.

Eliza:”This body is weaker than my own. I’m not used to it. I don’t think I will fight in it because I want to keep the feeling of my original body. I’ll stay back and just summon and control the soldiers around you instead. You go fight and I’ll watch.”

I guess that made sense for mom. She was also a general so controlling the soldiers herself shouldn’t be that difficult. She stood in the back and started summoning soldiers to use, I took the sword and shield character which at level seven was much more buffed out over his level two version.

With thousands of soldiers following me I move towards the orc fortress and as I arrive the orcs sound the alarm and thousands of them come ready to battle. Some road wolves so the knights on horses clashed with them. The dragon troops blew fire at their archers in the back while our own archers littered arrows down on them killing many.

Almost all the level one soldiers had a bow and were shooting as much as possible.

Eliza:”Level ones are too weak for anything else. They’ll just get slaughtered fighting the orcs up front like this.”

Mom sent me those words via the telepathy system. She was already adapting quickly on how to use and function in this. Even without joining the battle I saw the two armies clash and the soldiers I had normally allowed to attack and die were being controlled meticulously and crushing the orcs easily at almost every turn.

Eliza:”This is fun especially when I know no one is actually dying and the soldiers don’t fear death. Fear of death is the hardest thing to train out of someone Roy. Those dirty and disgusting orcs are being killed so easily when the soldiers don’t fear death.”

Roy:”Mom let me at least test out this soldier.”

Eliza:”Fine. Their leader is going to come out. Go and fight him since most of the other soldiers won’t really be a match for him one on one.”
