Stepmom-con – Ch. 45

Chapter 45

It was now afternoon and I had eaten lunch. Justin told me he was going to be busy with the women around him. When I saw him I was jealous but I reminded myself I made a promise so I had to keep it. There was no helping it.

To be honest though, I really wanted to test out the new soldiers in battle. I had learned to control the body better as I’ve started treating it more like a video game. There were ten different locations today and I started with the first one.

There was one champion, and I used archers to distract him after killing all the little goblins. Commanding the soldiers with a thought became easier as I got more practice.

I killed it with a regular soldier, which meant that these champions could be brought down as long as I had enough support, but I really wanted to test out the soldier I customized.

I took out the dual swords and went to my next location. I hid some near the goblins when I approached the next group. There was one magic user, and a few common goblins with look outs.

I charged in and struck down the archers and ranged archers. Then I killed all the goblins except one of them, reason being if they go and summon their boss it makes it easier than having to go in my self.

No, I wanted to test the explosive so I threw it inside when the goblin ran in. There was an explosion and the cave collapsed.

What the heck! All my precious goblin points! There was still movement in the ground however and eventually some goblins started to emerge. I planted a ring of soldiers around so none of them could escape.

I don’t know about the goblins of this world but the ones in the anime I remember watching would learn from failure, so it was better to just kill them all. Don’t let even one of them get away.

A champion came out of the ground. I drew the dual swords as it drew a club. It started coming at me waving the giant club around then tried to cleave me but I moved out of range before darting back and forth..

I wanted to kill this by myself.

Rather, I needed to do it.

After hearing about how strong those adventurers were I wanted to at least be strong enough to kill this goblin champion. When I looked at him again, he wasn’t that large after all. Only about seven feet tall.

The book of monsters show even larger and more powerful creatures that cause problems. Bandits were more dangerous than this goblin champion. The only thing dangerous about goblins were their numbers, and my numbers would keep increasing as I killed them.

“Roar!”

It was the champion. The goblins still didn’t speak any distinguishable languages. With the constant fights I was getting a sense of battle and reaction, the club came down but it missed. It was too slow and I could easily dodge it.

The two swords came out and I stabbed the goblin champion in the chest causing it to howl in pain. The other soldiers began to suppress the smaller goblins, and working in a team with longer reach the little goblins posed little threat as they mopped them up.

The goblin champion was injured so it then tried to run away but archers shot it in the back and head and it fell over dead.

That was easy… or it was getting easier. These were smaller goblins and easier to kill on my own. I wanted to do something more, I wanted to kill the warlord… but I think I should get a level three before that happens. I would need at least a hundred common soldiers to make ten level two soldiers, but since I’ve got two paths it’ll be two hundred.

Their numbers kept increasing as I killed more and more. I focused on common soldiers. Once I had two hundred I would focus on filling out the rest of the level two soldiers. This added up to where getting a level 3 would require 100 common soldiers and level four a thousand of the level one soldiers, not to mention the two levels in between.

The price increase was steep. I heard a knocking sound so I returned consciousness to my body. Back in my room there was a knock on the door.

Riss: “Roy, are you in there? Can I come in?”

It would have been bad if I was in the middle of a goblin subjugation.

Roy:”Come in.”

Riss came in and she sat next to me on the bed. She walked a bit funny.

Riss:”Roy, why do you stay in your room so much. It would be better if you went out wouldn’t it? I know Aunt Dhalia is gone all day but you can’t just stay in the room.”

Roy:”I don’t want to go out because seeing Justin with all of you makes me jealous.”

Riss giggled.

Riss:”Roy… fine I understand, however I’m your sister so let’s go out with just the two of us.”

Roy:”What about Justin?”

Riss:”I was planning on leaving with just Liss tomorrow morning to go somewhere but it seems what I’ve said to him last night worked so we’ll be going tomorrow.”

Roy:”So basically the other four are going to be getting some loving by Justin but you went all last night and are too sore to do it today.”

Riss laughed awkwardly.

Riss:”Well… okay there’s no shame in that. Yes, you’re right my dear brother.”

Roy:”Alright so how are we going to go around when you’re walking like that?”

Riss: “I could use magic to help, or I could just force myself.”

Roy:”For someone so strong it’s funny that you’re going to walk around like that.”

Riss:”It’s not that I can’t walk around, but it’s the most sensitive part of my body that’s sore.”

Riss looked at me for a moment then giggled again.

Riss:”You know brother, it’s surprising that a topic like this doesn’t embarrass you. Virgins would tend to get embarrassed when this kind of topic comes up.”

Roy:”There’s no need to be ashamed about natural things.”

If the topic came about me doing it with my own mothers then that would make me embarrassed because that sh** is taboo!

Roy:”Look, you’re my sister and growing up mom didn’t let me see you both. Since Liss is busy let’s go get something to eat or go shopping.”

Riss:”Well, I could get you some new clothes, and you won’t have to spend your budget.”

Roy:”I get too much allowance anyway. Alright let’s go.”

Riss was smiling as I took her hand and we left the mansion to go shopping. I didn’t learn much about Riss because everything I talked to her about was deflected in some way. Thus it wasn’t that eventful and I didn’t buy much, but when I got back I found four exhausted women in a room along with Justin who was tired out.

Liss:”Riss, we’re all leaving tomorrow, I think we should go to sleep now.”

Justin got up when he saw me and sent me his voice through the system.

Justin:”Did you make progress today?”

Roy:”Only two of them before Riss interrupted. We can hit the other six in an hour based on how long it took me before. With your help it should be faster.”

Justin:”Alright let’s do it.”

Justin turned to the other five.

Justin:”I’m a bit tired can you all let me sleep in peace for an hour?”

Roy:”Me too, I’m a bit tired.”

Riss: “Fine dear brother, and Justin, both of you go to sleep. I’ll come wake you in an hour.”

Yes! Good idea bro!

We both went to our rooms and locked the door then went to bed and brought out the avatar. I took control of my dual wielding sword, I know had three lives and Justin had three as well. We had over sixty level one soldiers, though only 52 were available at the moment.

Justin:”Let’s split up, give me about twenty common soldiers and let’s each take a goblin nest until they’re all done. One hour alright!”

Roy:”Alright!”

We both set off to clear them up. The nests fall one by one. The points continued to go up and I continued to add to the army, there was one nest left however and it was a rather large one. The goblins had been gathering at the area, and I didn’t approach it.

Roy:”Justin, are you already done?”

Justin:”Yes, how about you?”

Roy:”I’m going to need help on this last one. It’s not a cave but a fort and there are six champions there.”

Justin:”You said six?”

Roy:”Yes.”

Justin:”That’s great! That’s 1200 points, one of us can get a level three in our paths after this.”

Roy:”Should we focus on getting a level three or getting more soldiers?”

One level three was equivalent to 100 common soldiers in points value. We were planning on getting more soldiers… well more considering we had specialized ones. Considering that the next level didn’t make a much stronger avatar the extra points didn’t feel like it was worth it.

Justin:”I guess we should stop at ten each and then focus on rounding out the rest of the numbers.”

I hadn’t spent the points yet, but we would definitely have over 100 common soldiers after this is done.

Roy:”I think I’d rather just round it out. I don’t like the idea of having a few soldiers because what if we end up getting wiped by a strong opponent, at least the multiple soldiers can run away and we can kill smaller monsters to continue progress.”

Justin:”I guess that makes sense. Alright… anyway it’s your decision bro since you’re the admin.”

Roy:”Hah, admin.”

Justin teleported in with his sword and shield and brought a second one out with him.

Justin:”I’m going to try a few squad tactics.”

Roy:”Eh… I’m going to bomb the fort. I’m going to go in and get more soldiers before we continue.”

Justin:”Bomb the fort?”

Roy:”Yeah, if I hit them with eight bombs, there will be chaos in there and we can go in and mop everything up. Goblins are affected by smoke but our soldiers aren’t.”

Justin:”Good point.”

I go back to the system and begin to purchase more soldiers. I need forty more common soldiers to have the 8 bombs necessary for the plan.
